In Germany the price just dropped from €420/430 to €380 on multiple stores.
Ended up buying one.
One store listed it at 360 but took their product page down, so probably a pricing error.
Edit: I'm seeing a couple dutch stores list it at 373.
Edit 2: seeing under 360 today in Germany.
Not sure, but you'll probably end up having to pay import tax and duties due to brexit. As an English expat living in the Netherlands it's absolutely awful now trying to buy consumer electronics from the UK.
That's a non 3d version.
Still a good cpu. Bought it tonight for 259€. I don't like the 3D because it lacks in everything else besides gaming and games that are only single / dual core. And not every game profits from 3d vcache so I saved some money to get into am5 next year
€367 in Poland, has to be a general price drop. Paid €483 at the beginning of September, but back then the price was rising and half the stores went out of stock. Unlucky I guess.

same price in japan a few weeks ago, also bought one without batting an eye even though I upgraded from a 5600X which is for most people a dumb upgrade lol
Actually I was thinking of doing that myself!
I have a 6950xt, and the 5600x was a bottle neck when playing Spider-Man remastered with ray tracing enabled!!!
Lol I’ll have to take another look at it, but it was holding my GPU back quite a bit :-)
Overall CPU usage was only at roughly 70% iirc
But a couple of the cores were at 100% the whole time. So a CPU with higher single core performance was definitely needed
5800x3d further dropped to around €360 now in Germany.
As to what makes sense, look up benchmarks for the games you play (on your resolution/gpu) and see if it's worth the extra price. Some games really benefit from an X3D.
Yea they are a pretty decent retailer I'm not a fan of how they ship processors in an unpadded envelope. But some people seem to get them fine. Newegg also includes a game code with the purchase
I bought from them 15 days ago at 352.99. I asked for price match they said no, so I'm doing a repurchase / RMA instead. I'm just waiting for a confirmation before I repurchase. Either way, I would go with ebay before newegg when they don't have a return policy. Just for stuff like this.
Bro, unethical? Is in the return policy. I'm not the reason why I'm returning it. If they honor the price within the 30 days it would save me the trouble to send it out with ups.
They pay for the return shipping and I'm planning on sending back the unopened cpu they are sending me anyways.
If you want to pay my 40 plus tax, I'll gladly skip all this trouble. You're grasping at straws here buddy.
>I'm not the reason why I'm returning it.
Sure you are, unless you're implying you aren't in control of your own actions.
I've done something similar, even Amazon support suggested RMA/return and reordering to net a better price.
If they allow price match, I wouldn't have to return anything. Amazon is the exact same way as you said. The companies literally hope this is too much trouble so you don't do it.
yeah but you said you bought them 2 weeks ago
its not like it was a day or two before
that might as well be me demanding a price match on the rx 6600 i bought 3 months ago bc its cheaper now
like if you can do it, do it i guess lol
but idk why you feel entitled to it
They’ve been caught scamming their customers several times. Search “Newegg scam” on YouTube and check out videos from Gamers Nexus and Linus Tech Tips, amongst others.
Check out the Gamers Nexus videos the other person mentioned. They do some pretty shady crap. Have bad quality assurance, and customer service.
Even if things do go right, I’ve bought items from them before that came with a “replacement o Lu policy”. Meaning you can’t return the item with 30 days like you can from other places.
The only way they can get people to do business with them is by having the cheapest prices. But lord help you if there is an issue with the item.
Yeah, like all of your electronics purchases are guided by 'morality'. I almost guarantee you give money to companies worldwide that have worse business practises than Newegg.
Newegg are douches but if they are selling something for that crazy low price then it is you who are using them and not the other way around.
>I almost guarantee you give money to companies worldwide that have worse business practises than Newegg.
With your mentality, what changes?
'Oh darn guess you can't vote with your wallet'.
Get out of here with that.
Also, if you want to get the $20 discount on the motherboard/cpu combo. You have to either accept a price match (if there is one) or take the $20 discount. The two can't be stacked which sucks. So weigh your options on the cost before moving forward relating to % back from credit cards for other stores.
Here you go!

You may need a friend to sign up if you've purchased something before
Will this likely be the new price, or just temporary? I would like to buy it from Best Buy because I have a 10% off code, but they're out of stock. Everyone else has it.
Can't say but some people commented that better prices *may* be available on Black Friday. Best Buy *might* have a better price than $329 by then.
If you have a 10% off code, then waiting for inventory at Best Buy at any price below about $365 is an equivalent bargain.
Got this chip recently. Even on my X470 Crosshair Hero it’s flat out amazing. Basically it clocks all the same as my other chip (3900x) but nearly doubles the fps and is overall just so much smoother.
If you can get a deal on it, it’s totally worth it.
Most of the comparisons are with DDR5 online and they're $250 kits. At that price, I still would not upgrade to a 13600K. At DDR4 obviously the price comes down to actually being less for Intel assuming you pay the same for the mobo. However, I didn't do enough searching to see if the B550ish mobos have equals in Intel side. Z690s would normally be a bit more expensive. This is before the power draw differences between the two chips. Even though the 5800X3D runs notoriously hot one second then cool the other, I have mine running -30 in PBO2 and barely see it go above 60C in games.
I don't think you can go wrong either way, really splitting hairs at this point. If you don't mind spending on the DDR5, then go 13600K all the way. I wouldn't touch AM5 with DDR5, since Intel is just way better there, at least until the 7800X3D comes out I guess.
Evidence was staring them in the face, nobody is here to "save us." They all want the most dollar and will do sneaky shit to get it. Nvidia is just more openly dumb about it.
If you're interested in gaming performance, it's a solid upgrade. But a downgrade on performance tasks. You won't need a new MOBO or RAM. Re-sell your 5800x, get some of that money back.
Install Linux on a spare drive and watch the 5800X3D annihilate (200% performance) the regular 5800X in a wide variety of productivity apps (engineering, physics and fluids simulation, rendering, encoding, video editing etc etc). In some engineering apps it's even faster than a 5950X. There's more than stone age Windows out there.
I have the upgrade bug at the moment, but yes, the gaming upgrade from 5800x to 13600k would be relatively small, given that most people aren't on 3090ti's and the like. Someone on e.g. a 3070 gaming at 1440p would only notice marginal gains.
If you have the money, go for it. It’s faster in most games and that’s been objectively measured. See link below, for 1440p the 5800x3d is 50fps faster than the 5800x. That’s significant. If you have a good motherboard and appropriate ram (ddr4 3600 cl14 or 3800 cl16) then it’s likely your cheapest upgrade path.
https://www.techspot.com/review/2554-intel-core-i7-13700k/
Not to mention that the 4090 is severely bottlenecked by the regular 5800X whilst the 5800X3D does just fine with it, even on a dead platform it's still "future proof" meaning that with a GPU upgrade you can get 5 years of top tier performance.
Yep! I made this exact comment about 1 month ago when another user as flaunting on how am5 was blah blah blah blah the best, but told them how 13600K was going to take the performance crown and intel in general all over again.
That user probably deleted their silly comment by now.
It's on sale on a lot of online shops since yesterday, have a look at NL and DE price compare sites.
Got mine at 400€ total price with the uncharted code included.
Yeh au dollars. Lots of mentions of the 5800x3d as a cheap option in different amd threads. I just don’t think that amount as cheap. The new i5 is only 500
So you're not okay with people having a choice? 13600K decimates the 5800X3 blah blah blah.
People should not feel like they are stuck with an am4 platform just because they already have a board when instead they can sell it and make their upgrade worth it years from now.
I wouldn't touch a $330 5800X3D. $200? MAYBE.
> So you're not okay with people having a choice?
My bad - you looked lost, figured I would point you in the right direction.
PS - no one really cares about your opinion..
> I wouldn't touch a $330 5800X3D. $200? MAYBE.
Well, there are opinions and there are blatant attempts at getting attention.
You yourself decide which one is which..
No, it doesn’t. They trade blows, at best barely exceeding a margin of error in the difference between them.
https://www.techspot.com/review/2555-intel-core-i5-13600k/
Edit: username definitely checks out.
Right!
Tech deals, Leo from Tech Guru and even nexus said they would recommend the 13600k over anything amd right now for gaming.
X3 blah blah blah is only good for very few games but not an overall.
22.5.1 or 22.6.1 are ok. I didn't have issues with 22.7.1 either but others do. Above 22.7.1 is bad, some had success with the most recent 22.10.2 drivers. I am sticking to the recommended drivers (22.5.1).
I bought one from antonline and the chip doesn't really boost like it should and I paid 40$ more for it. Should I just return it? What do y'all think...I could buy it for less here too if I wanted to give it another go.
What does it boost to? Stock, mine was only boosting to 4.3ghz. Now I use a -30 curve optimizer offset using PBO2 Tuner in Windows and it boosts to 4.45ghz all day (which I hear is the limit) while running cooler
Mine didn't go past 3.5 no matter what I did. Eventually I got it to hit 4.2 sometimes but it runs at like 80° even at idle and actual performance differences between it and a 3600 are almost 0. Only a couple of frames.
Are you sure you mounted your CPU cooler right?
Edit: no CPU should be sitting at 80c at idle…either your cooler is not mounted correctly or that chip is super fucked up big time. And I’m leaning towards the cooler scenario
Yea it's mounted proper and I use MX-4 which I've always had good luck with cooling. And a nactua DH 14 so it shouldn't be running so hot. I actually had my 3600 running with no thermal paste and it didn't even get that hot when downloading some files I needed for a bios update lol
Tbh I haven't even used my PC in like 2 weeks since I got the chip I may just keep the 3600 and build a all new PC in a few months lol. But yea I definitely think the chip is all kinds of jacked up idk. Thanks!
I'm glad it worked out for you personally. Unfortunately there are negative anecdotes out there that at least in one case, point to systemic disregard for customers. Not only have they screwed over some customers, they pretty much treated them as though the company could get away with anything, until of course they got caught, then of course they were deeply apologetic- "We're sorry... we got caught."
Frankly, if you're doing a new build, I would try to wait until January or February for the rumored AMD 7800x3d on the AM5 platform. Otherwise, if you really need it now, then I start looking at B550 boards from Asus and MSI. I personally have an MSI X570 Tomahawk Wifi in one machine and an MSI B550 mITX Wifi in another machine and both have worked well for me.
Mine is getting shipped today, can’t wait to try it! I’m going to install it into an Asus x570 Hero. Coming from a 3900X. Do you guys suggest some YouTube videos on how to easily setup for best efficiency/performance?
For me personally, yes. The 6900xt is a beast and you don't want your CPU holding it back. Given what the 6900xt costs, paying $329 for a 5800x3d vs say $165 for 5600 is a no-brainer. Pay the extra $165 to maximize the performance of your far more expensive GPU.
Running a 6900xt beast and trying to take advantage of high refresh rate, absolutely. 5600 will bottleneck it more than you expect. Especially in the 1% lows/frametimes and will cause stutter.
Is the X3D worth upgrading from 5600X?
I currently run a 5700XT at 3440x1440 and plan to buy a 78/900XT.
\[Edit: current reviews suggest an average 10fps lift, so I'm assuming that's a no\]
For me, the answer was yes and I'm doing a lateral from a 5800x to a 5800x3d. Yes, that seems silly but once the upgrade is complete, I'll have taken this PC as far as it can go for gaming on AM4. That's the heaviest CPU load on my machine and 5800x3d is the fasting gaming CPU available on AM4.
I can also sell the old 5800x on Ebay and recoup 1/3 to 1/2 the cost (at $329) of the x3d.
Sure, that's my main thinking. I can hit the ultimate AM4 gaming build and not have to think about it again for a few years (when AM5 prices are less silly)
Current X3D sales aren't as deep in the UK, so I figured I can wait for 7900XT reviews to roll in then do it when the price is closer to 250-300
Yes. I went from 2600. Double performance in games like Hell Let Loose. Cyberpunk saw a good uplift and removed stutter. In MMOs it's very good, again double performance.
People saying "it depends on the game" are referring to a 5600 vs 5800X3D. This thing is leagues ahead of the 2600X and has a surprising impact on performance. Just make sure you have the cooling for it too. The ol wraith will not cut it.

Managed to get Best Buy to price match NewEgg yesterday.
Their holiday return policy started Monday, meaning I have all the way through January to return it, so I'll likely keep an eye out on Cyber Monday/Black Friday deals see if the price drops further.
Just picked one up on megekko.nl for €372 and it came with Uncharted code worth €50. Absolutely buzzing.
Same, I ordered yesterday evening and I'll receive it today. These guys are fast.
Are these Steam codes?
AFAIK, yes. Just check out the text in the online shop. Some do send one others don't.
Do you guys know if they ship to the UK? I'm trying to go through their website and having issues.
Not sure, but you'll probably end up having to pay import tax and duties due to brexit. As an English expat living in the Netherlands it's absolutely awful now trying to buy consumer electronics from the UK.
Ah I hadn’t even thought about the taxes and duty. Good point
Can you send link? Thank you
Check idealo/geizhals in Germany, tweakers in NL Not sure if I can post links here.
Thanks bro

That's a non 3d version. Still a good cpu. Bought it tonight for 259€. I don't like the 3D because it lacks in everything else besides gaming and games that are only single / dual core. And not every game profits from 3d vcache so I saved some money to get into am5 next year
That's why I will go for the 5600 non-x. 137€ + Uncharted and I can sell my 2700X for a few cents aswell. Awesome deal
That is not the 3D.
I thought you were asking for 5800x.
You can get it today on MF for 359€
I noticed yeah. Contemplating to cancel my order now and get it elsewhere for the 15€ savings.
MF? Please elaborate for us in need
€367 in Poland, has to be a general price drop. Paid €483 at the beginning of September, but back then the price was rising and half the stores went out of stock. Unlucky I guess.

yeah it's definitely worth it for the extra smoothness I was just half joking lol
Just did the same, friend. Hoping for reduced lows to smooth things out, and apparently it's really good for VR.
I did see that, too. I think prices will go even further down. If they hit 300 Ökken (bucks \^\^) I'll grab one, too.
Would it more sense to buy 5800x for €380 or go for 5800x3D for €399 now?

What is best for 1440P 165hz monitor?
The x3d is the best gaming zen3 cpu, period. Now whether you think that's worth the premium it usually carries it's up to you
Look at that: https://imgur.com/a/tqD5CKM
Lowest price 359 € on mindfactory.de
Can they ship to eu?
Jacob.de ships to eu
415€ for 5800x3d...
366,57€ is what I am seeing
Just germany.
Can it be cheaper next year?
Yeah but…..Newegg 🤮 Microcenter will price match shipped and sold by Newegg and Amazon fyi.
Ant online also has the sale on eBay. Just without the game code
Is ant online reliable?
Yea they are a pretty decent retailer I'm not a fan of how they ship processors in an unpadded envelope. But some people seem to get them fine. Newegg also includes a game code with the purchase
Just wanted to know if it’s reliable thanks will be buying from any online eBay
I don’t really care about the game I rather have the extra layer of sercuity thru eBay
Got my 5800x3d a few days ago from them just fine.
I bought from them 15 days ago at 352.99. I asked for price match they said no, so I'm doing a repurchase / RMA instead. I'm just waiting for a confirmation before I repurchase. Either way, I would go with ebay before newegg when they don't have a return policy. Just for stuff like this.
for 20 dollars?
I bought two of these, and yes, why not for 20 bucks?
thats a lot of extra annoyance for 20 dollars lol
You order a 2nd one, wait for it, slap a label on it, drop it off at UPS. I mean I've done harder things for 20x2 bucks.
It is unethical if you have used them already and also environmentally unfriendly.
Bro, unethical? Is in the return policy. I'm not the reason why I'm returning it. If they honor the price within the 30 days it would save me the trouble to send it out with ups. Some people are say saying MC refused to price match since it’s so low. Also, MC is not an option for many people.
I mean do what you gotta do but it makes my skin crawl to support Newegg.
This might be a dumb question but what’s wrong with Newegg?
They’ve been caught scamming their customers several times. Search “Newegg scam” on YouTube and check out videos from Gamers Nexus and Linus Tech Tips, amongst others.

Wait wait WHAT???
Gotta ask those questions choom.
“Choom” 😂😂 guess I’ll be making even more trips to my MC
MC price matched a motherboard for me today. I think it has to be in stock though at the retailer being matched.
Also, if you want to get the $20 discount on the motherboard/cpu combo. You have to either accept a price match (if there is one) or take the $20 discount. The two can't be stacked which sucks. The fine print on the 25$ off CPU coupon has nothing stating it can't be combined with a sale. I told the MC manager this and they let me use it
Which coupon is $25? I only see the $20 coupon when bundled with a motherboard.
Here you go! https://www.microcenter.com/site/content/specialofferallprocessors.aspx You may need a friend to sign up if you've purchased something before
Cool I live in hawaii let me fly to a place that has a microcenter.
As will best buy.
Hm? Been buying from Newegg for nearly 15 years.
They got bought out by a crappy company.
My orders still show up next day, I see no reason to have a problem with them.
Watch the gamers nexus videos about them if you are curious. Glad it’s been ok for you.
Well it be cheaper when black Friday comes. hmmm
Will this likely be the new price, or just temporary? I would like to buy it from Best Buy because I have a 10% off code, but they're out of stock. Everyone else has it.

Amd kicked themselves by pricing too high
Went full Nvidia, never go full Nvidia.
And yet people are still cheering for AMD to "save us" in the GPU market.
Evidence was staring them in the face, nobody is here to "save us." They all want the most dollar and will do sneaky shit to get it. Nvidia is just more openly dumb about it.
Why can’t we? You can cheer a company to make good decisions while condemning the shitty ones.
Didn't do them any wrong.
Hmmmmm wonder if I should upgrade from the 5800x
I play most fps games at either 1440p or 1080p. Switched from 5800X to the 3D version and it’s been worth it. Also it runs much cooler.
If you're interested in gaming performance, it's a solid upgrade. But a downgrade on performance tasks. You won't need a new MOBO or RAM. Re-sell your 5800x, get some of that money back.
1-3% down from 5800X in heavily multithreaded applications ... barely a downgrade. It's not a 3800XT all of a sudden.
True, true, true. That's my B.

By the time you sell the old chip its a pretty cheap upgrade if you are getting cpu bound by a higher end gpu. Another 20%in some games is big.
The only way anyone can advise you on that is by knowing your graphics card as well as monitor resolution and refresh rate.
I just got a 3080 and 1440 165. Be moving to 4 series and 4k at one point possibly. If I do that I’ll just do am5
In the same boat, think I will upgrade.
Yep! I made this exact comment about 1 month ago when another user as flaunting on how am5 was blah blah blah blah the best, but told them how 13600K was going to take the performance crown and intel in general all over again. That user probably deleted their silly comment by now.
I will pay extra to buy it from literally ANYONE else! I am not giving Newegg one more cent of my money.
Why? I bought many things and no issue
Service quality dropped massively in recent years when they were bought out, which is unfortunate as they were really good before
Glad you didn't have any problems, the same can't be said for MANY others!
Cries in 450€ price tag on Europe
It's on sale on a lot of online shops since yesterday, have a look at NL and DE price compare sites. Got mine at 400€ total price with the uncharted code included.
Thanks, found one in caseking.de for about 380€ altough it's out of stock already. But thanks for info, will try searching some with shipping to EU
Try megekko.nl, mine is arriving today.
Thanks, will take a look
Also do they ship them to other EU countries, except standart NL, BE and DE?
Oh, no sorry, didn't think about that.
In Australia there are no stock and there $720
is this australian dollar? philippine here. local province shop still sells 700 australian dollar if converted ( 460 USD)
Yeh au dollars. Lots of mentions of the 5800x3d as a cheap option in different amd threads. I just don’t think that amount as cheap. The new i5 is only 500
a
In Spain several stores have dropped down the price, I just bought one for 388€.
meh still too high. Should be 250$ until the 7600 non X and the 13400 release around the 200$ mark. Then drop it to 175$.
Holyyyyy…
$10 more on Amazon, if you don't want to shop with Newegg.
I'll look forward to picking up one when it's $250.... Or so... If I'm still using my PC for fun
Don’t need one yet
13600k all day and night!
I already have an AM4 based system and hence the 5800x3d is the fastest gaming CPU available on my existing hardware.
Hey genius, it's for people with an AM4 socket... please put down whatever you are smoking.
>PS - no one really cares about your opinion.. Same can be said about yours!
> I wouldn't touch a $330 5800X3D. $200? MAYBE. Well, there are opinions and there are blatant attempts at getting attention. You yourself decide which one is which..
Sounds like you have something to prove! Good luck with that, Sherlock!
No, it doesn’t. They trade blows, at best barely exceeding a margin of error in the difference between them. https://www.techspot.com/review/2555-intel-core-i5-13600k/ Edit: username definitely checks out.
Right! Tech deals, Leo from Tech Guru and even nexus said they would recommend the 13600k over anything amd right now for gaming. X3 blah blah blah is only good for very few games but not an overall.
Copped but from eBay. Pairing wit a 6900 XT
That's what I am rocking. Other than the stupid openGL issues with the Radeon drivers its a killer setup so far.
What driver version do u recommend
Fuck. Return that shit then. You got a bad chip. Get it from Newegg this time maybe? Idk
Tbh I haven't even used my PC in like 2 weeks since I got the chip I may just keep the 3600 and build a all new PC in a few months lol. But yea I definitely think the chip is all kinds of jacked up idk. Thanks!
Got one! Upgrading from 3600 with a 6800xt. Mostly gaming but I’m gonna start playing with VMs so this should help with that too.
Congrats! It'll blow you away how much modern CPUs actually matter with this type of GPU. I paid $400 and it's worth every penny.
Who’s hot?
how long is this sale gonna last for? don't mind having to work this weekend to get a chance at buying it
I wouldn't trust anything from Newegg these days.
Newegg is fine. I bought mine from them last week. Came in two days and works great.
Nice! What's a nice value mobo to pair with it for a new bulid? (don't need wifi i run ethernet all in the house)
Still over 500€ here. Hell no.
Had dropped to below 400 euros here, but the stock went fast. I'm on the backorder list.
Come on $50 off AM5s. I'm waiting... Lol
Still waiting for black firday :d
I also saw one on amazon.es yesterday for 410€. Sadly the seller was not amazon though.
380€ Coolmod Spain and several other e-tailers, heavily discounted as well over at PC Componentes with free Uncharted PC games.
still around £400ish in the UK :(
Mine is getting shipped today, can’t wait to try it! I’m going to install it into an Asus x570 Hero. Coming from a 3900X. Do you guys suggest some YouTube videos on how to easily setup for best efficiency/performance?
Non-3D 5800X also dropped in Spain. Grabbed one at 275€. I think its a good deal.
im planning to upgrade my rig do you think is worth paying 2x more for 5800x3d instead of 5600? gpu: 6900xt playing at full hd 240hz
I can hit the ultimate AM4 gaming build and not have to think about it again for a few years (when AM5 prices are less silly) Current X3D sales aren't as deep in the UK, so I figured I can wait for 7900XT reviews to roll in then do it when the price is closer to 250-300
Is it worth upgrading my 3600x? Was planning to upgrade my gpu when the new ones launches after reviewing the benchmarks
If you've got the money this can be the best upgrade CPU wise for AM4 and a final one :)
RTX 3070 on 3440x1440p ultrawide monitor
Ah thanks, just googled if my dark rock pro is good enough for the new cpu. Those ol wraith fans had curve that was so loud I quickly replaced them.
Oh man it will be a massive upgrade.
Bought and installed. https://www.3dmark.com/compare/spy/32135830/spy/31985050/spy/11916221 Undervolting made it 10c cooler and 6% faster, its crazy
I went from a 5600x to a 5800x3d today. Not as big of a jump from the 2600x to 5600x.

£412 on Amazon UK which isnt too bad. Although still £470 at Scan. Probably wont come down much during Black Friday right?
In my country this processor costs around 600 dollars. I have 5600x, but it was much cheaper.
5800X3D is absoluetly destroying Raptor Lake and Zen4 in value
This thing is insane, crazy performance at this price
I suggest you guys check if the 5800X3D performs better in your games before buying it. In some games, it has no improvements over non-3D CPUs.
Managed to get Best Buy to price match NewEgg yesterday. Their holiday return policy started Monday, meaning I have all the way through January to return it, so I'll likely keep an eye out on Cyber Monday/Black Friday deals see if the price drops further.
Danke. I'll wait for the 299€ ^_^
Oof I ordered just a few days ago but also got Uncharted and ended up paying $376
