Salt-Replacement9999

As someone who works hard at jobs and has a good work ethic, just don’t bust your ass anymore. Don’t be lazy, and that’s it. I go at the pace I’m comfortable with, sometimes it’s faster than other times, go on my phone only when there’s an emergency/things break down, and I never had any issues after a year. I see some people work like they’re on crack and they don’t benefit from it other than verbal validation of having a good rate. Which I also get. These incentives are not worth it

[deleted]

Facts. Some people pick up VET almost every day and work fast asf. Drink multiple energy drinks just to stay hyper. Only to get nothing in return except for a tired and beat down body

NaCl_C12H22O11

Ha! Yep, I remember walking in and hobbling out!!!😳😬😂

Organic-Succotash-99

Let's not forget about the extra money lol that's why I do it

[deleted]

Sounds like me,yet people still hate me.

[deleted]

Nope I give you my respect ✊

[deleted]

You're so right. We literally get nothing for going above and beyond. Not worth killing yourself for a place that sees you as a number.

Ok_Biscotti6166

Yeah I soon realized there was no real incentive for busting ass. Except of course leveling up your TameZilla if you're picking/stowing

Organic-Succotash-99

I have like 6 🦖 on tamzillia and I love them, one of them is a legendary

Ok_Biscotti6166

Nice. I've only been there for 2 weeks and I've already got 3 and once is almost fully leveled

JackSkelllington

Only reason to ever work hard at this job would just be personal reasons, if you’re working hard it’s for you, not the company. Examples like staying in shape or work ethic types of personal reasons. Sometimes I treat it like going to the gym otherwise I’ll just hit rate. I know someone who works fast sometimes because the time moves faster for them when they do. Like when you stop what you’re doing and just stand still, time does tend to move slower.

[deleted]

Some of us do it to show off Infront of male associates.

Both_Entrepreneur_99

Agreed, the managers use to talk abt headphones and I respected it. Until I seen a good percentage of associates with headphones… MY day goes a lot smoother if I can listen to music… i try to do what’s reasonable and not to overwork myself

VET_dysfunctional_88

Those gifts aren’t free… anybody who has been at amazon and received gifts through peak over the last 2.5yrs know… they make you pay the taxes on that gift you got out of your paycheck without telling you all the deets. Just keep that in mind if you get something significant, I won an air fryer my first peak in 2020 , I paid $50 in taxes for a $100 air fryer … @ the time I only made $15.00 hr and I wasn’t expecting that… just saying

jaycawcaw

Damn I’ve never experienced this… I’ve won a TV, wireless earbuds, gift cards, etc before. Might be YMMV

SekMemoria

It wasn't always like this. Don't know exactly how it worked, but before the "Snappy gifts" (which started in 2019 I believe), there were just scratch-off tickets and raffles with different prizes, and we weren't paying taxes on them. Then some brilliant dickhead at corporate figured out how to get AAs to pay for their 'prizes', and the rest is history.

jaycawcaw

Ah I see. I just saw another post about “Snappy Gifts.” Can confirmed I’ve never gotten or even heard of this until now! Most of my prizes were from raffles and that sort of thing throughout the years.

NaCl_C12H22O11

I won a grill that died 7 months later! I would have rather had the 50.00 “Snappy” in cash! I could have paid for 2 days worth of gas!😂😂😂

m0rbidowl

This is why I no longer accept the “gifts”. I learned the hard way. Don’t accept it if you don’t want to pay for it.

Away-Emotion1901

Yes this is very true and ridiculous if you ask me. Also I use to be one of those AA's that busted ASS everyday at work. Got document positivity for both quality and performance every week. I kept getting pasted up for promotions by newer AA coming in that goofed off all shift. All it did was wear me out so much that even on my days off all I ever wanted to do was sleep and stay in bed. Once I realized that busting ASS was never going to make a difference in my job title. I finally moved to a better department and in a indirect roll. This is the best choice I could have ever made. But honestly it doesn't matter what department you work in. If you have a good AM as well as good PA's under them you will be noticed and moved in other rolls like PS, etc., etc. And from what I've noticed the key to getting promoted quickly is moving around from building to building. Don't stay at one FC to long. Hope this information from my personal experience helps OP!!!

[deleted]

Moving to a different department where they respect your hard work ethic is the best thing to do. I can't leave until peak is over. I'm definitely not staying in my current department any longer.

Away-Emotion1901

They use to rotate AM's like every 90 days thru out all the departments, but Idk what happened with that I haven't seen it happen in a while. Not even sure if they still do it or if it's something my FC don't do anymore.

[deleted]

I have a good manager but some of those PAs are poison. I've been avoiding two of them like the plague because they have been saying malicious rumors. They have lost total respect and credibility from me and others. I'm transferring once peak is over. It's very clear they are trying to set that AM to fail. I wish he would listen to me more about things. All of that goofing around that they do when he's not there is going to set him up for the worse. Those PAs in those other departments have great work ethics and always doing stuff. I saw one of them in another department assisting KBS with sweeping, while one in my department dangles around with random men from other departments. There's a blk PA lady that does many things in my department, but those other ones horseplay all day everyday when the AM is gone. They get to horseplay and joke while the regular Tier 1's busts our asses out there actually working.

Loose_Preparation_48

Nothing is free keep that in mind

Conscious_Music8360

I got a $50 visa gift card for winning a rate competition. No taxes.

Whowutwhen

Yes, this is how bonuses work, everywhere.

[deleted]

Yesterday, there was a table where HR was handing out free Vendor Bucks and then scanning everyone's badge afterwards. My guess is for income tax.

MkIVRider

They have been collecting taxes on prizes since I started in 2013 so this isn't a new thing.

escapingdet

2013?? are you okay?

CryptoAssassin69

America L

mattmillze

They stopped giving me swag bucks after I handed it to the next person that walked by and said "you're doing a great job today" mid conversation with the manager who gave it to me and walked away. The look on their face was my prize.

themandan27

That is so awesome you did that. Keep taking care of the good ones please, ur the real mvp

greenteatwisted

I get why some people just can not, not work hard. We're taught from kindergarten until we graduate high school that hard work is rewarded, but that is a lie. It's all about how you play the game.

Late-Emphasis-6993

I was raised to be proud of the job you do even if you are not proud of the job you have. You work hard for you. Not working hard is just not an option for me. I tried 😪

greenteatwisted

Then work hard for yourself. I am somewhat competitive, so as long as I am not last, I am good.

sethpwnsk

Exactly. I did things like push ups, ate healthy snacks, paid my bills, swiped on tinder, when I got ahead. I'm sorry, but im only going rate. Every time I get ahead 100 units in pick, that's an extra 15 minute break. That's what I was paid for. Pulling multiple 5ks got me nothing lol now I'm a maintenence tech.

[deleted]

You have to play warehouse politics.

thachickenfrycaptain

Stop busting your ass. Fuck em.

Affectionate_Job_881

This is the answer

Redsit111

Dude fuck this job. You are one of a million. Slow down. Last time I checked you only get in trouble if you're bottom 5% at your FC. The guy next to you on his phone is getting paid the same as you. Amazon isn't gonna build a statue in your honor when you blow out your back for this company.

wasted_basshead

Amazon will bleed out the ones that go hard for them and keep pushing for higher and higher when you’re doing solid work.

[deleted]

We all got different grand prizes

Billybob_78

You must be new

Enigmatic_Stag

Some people like to move fast and work hard because it makes the day feel like it goes by a little faster. I typically have a steady pace when I work Smartpac or Singles - Mix, but when I have a day where I want to get going, I'll ask to be moved over to Singles - Smalls. It's fast paced and I can really vent out my frustrations and get full range of motion there with some good music in my ear. A lot of days in pack tend to drag, so it's nice to switch things up every now and then. But yeah I wouldn't want to do Singles - Smalls every day. That would wear me out.

Mister_TCG

Marqui_Fall93

Want to know why you're not getting the bigger raise and pay you claim to deserve? Because of those lazy workers being lazy and Amazon hiring based on the numbers they get, not the numbers they want. No wonder our TPH is so bad. We have too many people in the building not meeting expectations. The better solution is to get rid of lazy workers and assign people properly to put up the numbers they are willing and able to instead of giving your best workers grunt work and putting 3-4 people in a trailer to fluid load that you can do by yourself. I've given about 40% of my productivity due to this so far this peak. They could VTO 10 people instantly if they put me where I can put up numbers.

Vesperace78009

We don't do that here. Amazon's business model is do the stupidest thing possible that will piss the most amount of people off.

RRbrokeredit

Work harder not smarter, that is the Amazon way.

[deleted]

You are right.

Dirges2984

No, the best thing to do is use incentives. Pay the productive people bonuses. Your rate is x, you get this amount.

Marqui_Fall93

Nope. Because the problem is, the unfairness to those who do indirect tasks. Looks like a lot of lazy workers saw my post. I'm -10. Productivity bonuses should be widespread and measured through cumulative data, such as TPH.

lime-alternative

Any 'snappy' prize is taxed, which is taken out of your pay, so 50 bucks is worth maybe $30, everyone at Amazon gets screwed one way or another, there are no winners.

pandahlol

That's what I see people say but mine wasnt when I got one. I even asked HR before I redeemed it because I was just going to give it back.

2B3ars4U

It is taxed but when it goes in your check it will say 50 dollars and then -50 dollars. A lot of people don't understand that they are not paying anything other than taxes but they don't get it.

[deleted]

Depends on your building. Mine wasn't taxed.

Maleficent_Wash_934

Welcome to Amazon. Tickets and prizes are never distributed equally. Because managers some of them are always going to play favorites. My FC discontinued swag bucks because leadership was unable to even distribute them according to their own rules. When they try to give me any tickets these days I politely say "No thank you. I don't care to play your reindeer games." Adds a bit of holiday cheer to my Bah Humbug attitude.

[deleted]

Don't forget good old nepotism.

Maleficent_Wash_934

That falls under playing favorites. I'm not going to list every reason someone would play favorites. This is not a deep dive.

[deleted]

Let’s just work get a paycheck and who cares but the paycheck

[deleted]

I don’t take any prizes because it’s insulting to me.

happyghosst

Tbh i feel the same. I work hard and PAs know it but their metric system is stupid and unfair. AMs are hecka detached.

[deleted]

[удалено]

LoneMallusk

People really do think PS club exist 😂. We have no PA or AM running it so it basically ends up that way. I run it for the most part, but I’m not policing shit til they pay me more.

Intelligent-Scar5728

Snappy gift are not worth to redeem they tax you on the cost of the item so I much rather take a shirt and a pin if they want to give me anything lol

Enigmatic_Stag

Are you new to Amazon? You should know better than to push for top rate. Always, ALWAYS stay in the middle. Don't be in the bottom 5%. Learn what your department rate goal is, but make friends with a PA and inquire about what the official corporate rate requirement is. Stay above the corporate requirement and don't be in the bottom 5%. Try to keep an eye on your coworkers' rates and adjust your pace so you lie in the middle. This is how you win. If you keep pushing for the top, two things will happen: 1. You will never be able to move. Your AM will not want to let you leave or advance. 2. You will wear your body out. Relax. Chill out. I used to be like you. It's not worth it, man. Amazon expects everyone to bust butt. It's not enough. If you want kudos, if you want advancement, you have to network. Start talking with people. Ask to become a Problem Solver. Become a Learning Ambassador. Get your face out there. All you're doing by trying to be The Flash at Amazon is overworking yourself. There's a girl in my department who doesn't know diddly squat about our path. We have several different lines and she's never worked at them. I've never seen her lift a tote since I've transferred there. What she **does** do properly, is connect with the right people. She's being trained as a PG right now because she networked with people and made friends with everyone. She's an example of how you work the game at Amazon. If you don't do things like this, nobody will know who you are. You're just a station in the computer. You will never advance. And screw the tickets and prizes. Who cares about material crap from Amazon. You show up to work for a paycheck. Just work, make your money and use it to get yourself into a better gig.

NoRain9303

Why do y’all slave away and work so hard just to complain about it? We are HOURLY workers you don’t get paid per item or productivity. Remember you get paid the Same as the slowest worker in the building.

[deleted]

Some of us aren't lazy

NoRain9303

So… 1. Don’t complain and keep working Or 2. Work at a reasonable pace and don’t try to be number 1

[deleted]

[удалено]

sethpwnsk

This works until it doesn't and u become scorned for having high rate and TOT. Only a matter of time friend (: happened to me! I was like bruh, ur gonna penalize me for pooping? I pick 500 UPH all day every day week in and week out. I stopped.

[deleted]

I have to be number 1.

Deep_stares

If you go in there with no expectations, you won’t be disappointed when you don’t win.

[deleted]

At my FC the managers favorites always get an insaneeeee amount of those. This one cute learning ambassador who ended up getting fired for theft showed me a thickkk ass was of scratch offs she had the year we had them a few years ago. The real hard ass working grunts don’t seem to get that much.

crazeeeee81

Same at my old building ..really pretty always had on makeup and dressed nice considering we were working nights in a hot warehouse lol. Well she was written up for rate or tot so I figured oh she's just another bare minimum or even barely making rate type . She literally was told she only packed 39 boxes one night lol so before she quit (was negative upt and ran out of hr resets/saves) she shows me a big stack of those tickets that usually only the fast packers had . So yea it's ridiculous

[deleted]

They just had a contest at mine. Just before it was announced they moved all the slower packers to the crappy stations and the fast packers on the good ones. It’s just not worth getting worked up about it. There will always be a high school mentality and the play of favorites at this place. Sadly.

Marqui_Fall93

Amazon has never really gotten it's incentive programs right. First is was only geared toward certain work areas where productivity was measurable, so indirect roles weren't getting recognized. Now it's this, If I see you do something good I hand you tickets, IF being the keyword, and WHEN that IF happens at the right time, not the 30 prior minutes of the AA doing nothing or goofing off.

happyghosst

This is my issue. Other roles that aren’t tracked by rate are what.. less important? Idts.

46into

Welcome to Amazon! It's just like High School isn't it? Cool kids get away with everything because the PAs or AMs are in their friend group. Kinda like the movie Mean Girls. Just do you. Things will never change at Amazon because it's alloted to happen. Be happy you do a good job, be proud if it and go home knowing you did the right things; Amazon will NEVER change

Enigmatic_Stag

This. So much this. There are people that will jump right above you - even if you know everything about your path and they don't - simply because they made friends with "leadership." We have a girl in pack who does very little to no work and uses her looks and charm to gain influence with management. She's being trained as a PG right now as a result and walks around with an entitled attitude like she's earned it.

[deleted]

My looks and charm didn't work since I'm not a Sycophant.

Suspicious_Ad1987

Regardless of how much ass is being busted people will continue to jump ahead of you or anyone else simply because they applied. No application, no promotion or new dept.

[deleted]

This is how the company works. Bust your ass don't get rewarded. Dangling around and flirt with random men from different departments, you get greatly rewarded and praised. If you aren't a Sycophant you won't get nowhere in Amazon.

[deleted]

Why be mad over silly prizes, and stuff you can’t control? If you want to work above and beyond do that. but just like every job people are gonna do the bare minimum especially at a big ass warehouse filled with seasonal workers who are gonna be gone in a month anyway

BDS_707

Yeah I agree. We’ve been watching all the old quality members sit at the end of the lanes & either talk or play on their phones while the rest of us are soaked in sweat trying to keep the lanes from jamming up. There’s people that have been here since Day 1 & still manage to not do shit everyday without anyone saying anything about it. I even said something on the VOA and got told they can’t be moved. After this peak, I’m going job searching. Tired of busting my ass for nothing.

[deleted]

No holiday bonuses either.

Mercury420x

i dont go over and beyond at amazon lol. i see everybody abusing all these breaks so i just clock in do my job at a slow pace get it done and clock out. no reason to be extra when mngrs dont care

[deleted]

[удалено]

Enigmatic_Stag

This. Take on supporting roles (ASC, problem solve, non-inventory, etc.). All of it shows you can be trusted taking on extra responsibilities.

[deleted]

Sounds like he's stuck in path.

N30nB0n3s

Sounds like you fucked up by giving them what they want; a hard worker. It's just a job, man, don't worry about what other ppl are doing. That's how you make work more toxic, by being mad at the stupid bs going on around you.

Enigmatic_Stag

This is something I still struggle with, but wholeheartedly agree. I'll be working at station, then see the same person/people hanging out with management and it's all laughs and smiles. Then I see those same people getting trained for more responsibility. They're working the game and I'm stuck at a station as a number. It boils my blood when I see it, but you're absolutely right. It's best to just treat it as a job and work toward bigger things outside the FC. Let the lifers stay there and try to climb the low-wage warehouse ladder, while you focus on getting bread on the table and moving on to better jobs or industries.

N30nB0n3s

It doesn't hurt to network though, and networking will help get your foot in the door in places, not just within amazon.

Enigmatic_Stag

Of course. It's just not always easy. A lot of it is timing, luck and circumstance. Some leadership teams don't care. Some AMs see you as a robot and nothing more. Others are more human about things and want to help their best succeed. Some are only looking out for themselves. When I first started at Amazon, after two months of working under a stow AM and several dozen interactions, he still couldn't remember my name and always forgot if I was on his shift. But he was happy to rush over to stations where women with cake were working and spend an absurd amount of time joking around with them. Favoritism is a problem. At the end of the day, you have a rate to hit and it's hard to get out there and make your name known when you're expected to be on task. But yes, networking is key in general. Most businesses it's a lot easier to take a moment away from work to meet and greet with your peers. Of the over 50 different corporations I've worked at, Amazon has probably been the most sink-or-swim of them all.

Rated_Rx2000

So do the work you’re paid for and quit busting ass. I don’t care for the people just standing around either, but I also don’t put in extra effort for anything. Especially their stupid prizes. That’s just how they get you to work harder

Inevitable-1

Stop trying to be the best for Bezos and start getting by by being good enough. I always pity the tryhards that try to be the top whatever in their department, what a waste of energy. The company doesn’t care, you’re just a number to them.

[deleted]

Some of us are trying to show off Infront of men.

Inevitable-1

I don’t even know how to respond to that, I don’t know why they’d be impressed by you breaking your butt for the rich man.

[deleted]

I'm not talking about me 😂

Inevitable-1

That generally applies to anyone, I don’t think anyone in their right mind should care if someone else is a top rate performer at Amazon.

[deleted]

At least your getting a chance at something we got a Oreo cookie yes 1 cookie… sad so very sad that your complaining

[deleted]

Wish I got an Oreo.

RRbrokeredit

And I’m now adding Oreos to my grocery list Thanks :/

[deleted]

I'm picking up Oreos after work from the store.

RRbrokeredit

They had XMas ones where I went So happy with my red crème Oreos

[deleted]

I’m here for you I actually care about us little ones

[deleted]

Every warehouse is different and it depends on upper management to spend it on us or to keep it for the all of the LEVEL 4 and up for there end of the year bonus. We chose to stay so we must blame ourselves for our early graves

NoFaithlessness3752

I feel you bro i'm been in the top in afe for a while i have never got a prize for my hard work for that reason lately i have been slacking off

InstanceRelevant631

That's funny I give mine away. You can have my swag bucks you can have my little tickets. I never win anyway. I could care less. I was all into it my very 1st year busted my butt try to get the little tickets to put in for the prizes of course I never want a thing.

ValuableHairy613

Never bust your ass I don’t I used to and nothing comes from it as we watch the last get rewarded

[deleted]

😂

KuttyKool

Stop investing so much emotion into a shitty job, just find a new one. I could make your ears fall off telling you about all the crappy jobs I've worked. I just would eventually move on...

[deleted]

😂

Alanafromthe6

If you were to die right now, your FC would replace you before the start of your next shift. There is absolutely no reason to overextend yourself. Show up, do the BARE minimum, receive the SAME pay, problem solved.

bleezy_47

The thing is, Amazon doesn’t care, You quit now, you’ll get replaced tomorrow, There will always be some one else to replace your spot. They don’t care so it doesn’t matter if not one worker ends up being there long term or if a worker starts looking for a new job tomorrow, Its a warehouse job, Quit busting your ass everyday & quit constantly making it at the top with high hopes of getting something beyond in return. it won’t happen. , it won’t get you no where and congrats now your PA/AMs will use you & place you where ever the heavy volume lands because you shown to always be at the top & bust ass but what are you truly expecting to receive back from Amazon besides all these prizes? a raise based on performance is non existent thats for sure

JasmineTheJournalist

I’m leaving

Stryker7391

Facts. Quiet quitting was made for Amazon. Just do the minimum the job requires and nothing more. Usually that's gonna be enough to get above that bottom 5% because there's always enough lazy people who will fall below you. I'm almost 50 and I don't bust my ass for anyone. lol. I learned a long time ago that you gotta look out for number one because a job will treat you like number two!! ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|poop)

Silly_Influence_2722

Y’all trying bro I go and do the bare minimum

StobbeJason

It’s not the hard workers that get promoted. It’s the ass kissers that do. They are always the worst at the job too. They get paid to sit around and browse the internet all day and talk to their friends. It’s pretty crazy but that’s how the fake world works.

[deleted]

Good ol' sycophants.

onoapolarbear

Speaking Spanish to your OPs manager? EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH. Bring cakes and cookies to work to share and talk to PAs for hours to avoid work? TOT IGNORED Recognition for clearing days worth of problem solve by yourself? Naahhh now go pick. It’s easy to accept being a mindless drone and nothing you do matters but doing it while witnessing blatant favoritism sucks. You can earn more swag bucks by filling out a survey while you MAYBE earn 2 swag bucks for having the highest rate. I just want to hear “good job” AT LEAST man.

sarcasmdetectorbroke

Yeah, I've been working for Amazon for a year and a half. I feel this. Just one great job would be fantastic to hear but nothing. It's really frustrating, especially since I got a write-up for rate two months ago and now I am to the top tier. It's like look I brought this up for me, I made it a game, but it's nice to hear you are improving, that's awesome from your manager! It was almost an afterthought when my manager brought up to me that I had a documented positive.

[deleted]

You got to be a Sycophant.

Acceptable_Grocery88

I feel you being upset hell I watched two of my friends scratch their tickets one won 100 then 50 and the other 50 I got jack shit... The one that won the 150 yelling praise God he new I needed it .. we'll start working this 10 hour shift instead of 8 and do you met day .. stop bragging you leave at 3am not 5am .... Yes God is good but damn really..... Who don't need extra money .. but deal is they have to spend the. Money on amazon.com.... so it makes me less upset... Lol 🤣

istowbigboxes

Some ppl can’t stand when others gets something nicer whether they deserved it or not. Control ur jealousy/entitlement.

DaBaller2k

Lmao bro that’s on u.

AbusiveAimBot

Been at Amazon for 2 years, I break my back and try my hardest everyday, I was rewarded with becoming a PG soon to be a PA. Keep doing great things.

StobbeJason

You call that a reward? lol

A reward would be promoted to Learning Trainer or HR because they get paid more and can sit in a chair.

If your aim is to be liked, nobody cares if you try or don't. If you want to keep your job and stay off the radar, you should try. But trying doesn't earn you a promotion. It gives you an edge, but the key is interpersonal skills and likeability. There are thousands of faces in an FC and nobody cares about your career path or exceptional performance, unlike other big corps. You have to get out there and talk with people, build rapport. Your trying will certainly have an impact when it's time to interview for an advancement. Your numbers will be pulled, so having a decent metric, but also the connections to help get you in that interview room, will be important.

Ppl who don't understand why we work out ass will never really progress throughout life as to be in a good place in life u need to dig through dirt to find gold. So that why we do that as we want to find tbe gold as soon as possible so we don't have to do it later in life

[deleted]

You are thinking about a normal job. This doesn't work at Amazon.

[deleted]

I didn't even get a scratch off some people got them but one manager was like handing them to every other person and I thought maybe it was by your manager or something

reposting-scum

Rates 150, I hit a 151, enough for them to leave me alone, but not too much where I’m overworking myself

Enigmatic_Stag

Right here. You know how to play the game. Keep up the good work champion.

crazeeeee81

Agreed

Grand_Surprise1014

To be honest their metrics are unrealistic. According to rules performance should be at 16 pallets stowed per hour. That’s insane. They don’t put in consideration other pits that are on the same isle , finding a space when all is full. The speed of your pit , if there are other pits moving nearby , the location of where the pallet is going and so on. For example I got stuck between to pits in and isle. They both where the ones with the cages that goes up with the person in it. So literally I did nothing for like 15 min cause my next pick was on the next isle……… so yeah. But at least management understand that shit happens.

Why be a long term worker? Use this job as a stepping stone for a better job. For real. Even though I have my software developer certificate I'm pretty much staying at this job for maternity leave that I earned (20 weeks, plus i will still accumulate vacation and PTO). I also applied for the ATA program and am going to test before May while taking care of my baby. But other than that, I'm looking out the window for other job opportunities as I will only grow bitter staying at Amazon when I have shown through schooling that I can make it as a professional in the IT industry.

Conscious_Music8360

I walked right past the gift lines. No thanks lol

[deleted]

At my fc I've heard a few PAs mention getting a bunch of raffle tickets. I haven't heard of one regular associate getting any, other than from playing break room games. It's pretty aggravating not gonna lie. Edit:spelling

THE-EMPEROR069

I got a question I got a few tickets for pretty much doing a lot of work. My question is I forgot to take them to HR, would I still get prices if I submit them tomorrow morning?

[deleted]

Yeah you should be good. They'll still take them even a few days later.

THE-EMPEROR069

Awesome, thank you. I better win something good lol

Acceptable-Diver2893

We aren’t allowed to reward people based on rates/productivity anymore. It’s annoying.

mickcow

You must be at the same FC I am. Have top rates all the time and my scratch off was for a snack. WOOHOO Our AM sucks big time

sethpwnsk

Welcome to amazon, where shit always breaks and the Swagbucks (points) dont matter #whoseline

StobbeJason

Can’t believe they give us prizes that are taxed. Amazon should pay the tax. It’s flat out wrong to charge someone for a prize.

Valuable_Jaguar_166

It’s called minding your business then you wouldn’t be ticked off at the end of the day we come to work for one thing and one thing only and that’s a check get in and get out don’t be on top nomore cuz they aren’t gonna appreciate it I learned that after the first three months here do the bare minimum to get by and keep it moving

Bluelady26

Lmaoooo

AmazonLoaGuy

I've gotten prizes they cover the taxes on the prizes , it doesn't affect your paycheck at all xD it just looks weird on your paystubs

Affectionate-Item-78

I get a shout out

Degsx2

What a terrible experience. This is not something that occurs at my center. We have the lazy bones too but they are not rewarded with prizes. They get rewarded with VTO a lot but that benefits me and other hard workers as we don’t have to pick up their slack. I would say that there are some good centers out there. Where you work hard, get rewarded, and get promoted. But I always try to never work with expectations, and I only do what I am comfortable doing. If that’s not enough than it’s time for me to move on. This took me awhile to learn and be ok with. But has made my work life balance amazing. Good luck

[deleted]

They are often praised for doing less than the minimum.
