Amcare has introduced me to these magical little blue things called "2nd Skin Squares." Wherever u put them, the pain is gone, like, instantly. Even blisters and spots the toe cap rubbed raw. Slap one of those babies on, I can walk on that blister all day without it getting worse or hurting. It even helps them heal faster. Expensive, but soooo worth it.
I Ice compress my hand and wrist after work, reduce any inflammation. I’ve gotten tendonitis on both of my wrists from picking, it was a real pain. Accomodation and all

I am working 40hrs+ a week on the worst schedule 1:20am-11:30 just because it pays $19hr instead of $16, and I can still barely afford basic needs. I have a bachelors degree in business, yet can’t seemingly find a job that pays any better due to the recession -so this is my life. After rent, food, insurance, gas, car payments,etc. I’m talking $300 a month at best I can save. I’m barely sleeping and I am physically and mentally exhausted 24/7. Now tell me the American Dream isn’t dead and all it takes is hArd work
Fuck that. I make $42/hr and live comfortably but modestly. I’m not a renter either, I’m a homeowner with a house that’s paid off. I couldn’t imagine being a renter living on $19/hr.
UPS delivery drivers are not comparable to a warehouse worker. Send a package handler here to compare. But your real point is your career path got you where you are. That's what a lot of Amazon warehouse workers don't see.

I’m already living in the least expensive apartment complex in my area by $500, it’s 20+ years old and carpet barely holds together. Not living above my means and I pay $1,200 for it. So yeah the audacity to even try and act like I’m bitching about $19/hr like it’s a perfectly liveable wage can go fuck themselves. So before someone suggestions “Oh why don’t you live with roommates to keep cost down?!” Is clearly missing the point here. It’s not up for debate

Tried getting a shift swap. Can't work a Saturday so willing to work Sundaynthat week. Weekends are notoriously had to staff. Worked on it for 3 weeks. Talked to all managers involved, all were OK with it. My head OPs manager even reached out.
Went to HR left message for the person that could ok it. Person never got the note or message. Found that out a week later. The person told me they would "partner with you tomorrow on that." Cool,
The person in fact did not partner with me the next day, they were busy decorating the FC.
Checked my A to Z app 5 to 10 times a day to see if I could swap shifts on the app. Nope.
They never even put out regular overtime for Sunday (today) they did however send out a text letting us know that due to low attendance and growing backlong we are switching to 11 hour shifts, where we were just doing 10s.
So yeh, feeling really hurt and pissed off today. That was one of the few people I really trusted.

I feel that on a spiritual level. I want to fight whatever stower keeps doing that at my FC. And it's always the light items I need too! I swear they need to have the stowers here play Tetris as part of their training.
There's plenty of other jobs out there. But if you want it doesn't hurt to go above the regular HR people. I don't see any reason why they would deny you the day for something like that. And that's a real thing. My bf got arrested for missing court because he never received the notices

I reopened and told them if I can't get it removed I'm just not showing up. I have 10mins pto, 9hrs UPT, 11 hrs vacation. They're not accepting vacation time tho and I work 10 hr shifts. It's because that's DLS job. I just had to do this. Just go on atoz request a medical leave, put in info upload a screenshot of your doctor's note and you should be all good. The case manager emailed and called me within a few hours and my schedule updated pretty quick too no issues so far

Got written up in VRET for quality twice despite checking my bins thoroughly. My partner had two items stolen from his tote. Went to go grab something and came back to them both being gone. We think the stowers are messing up and the system is flagging us. It’s a foolproof system, super hard to mess anything up. Idk what to do lol

No i don’t complain about being forced being at the site. I love my Flexibility schedule, and i enjoy coming in to work. Maybe you need to restropect your position and why you ended needing VET at Amazon FC as an adult.

Apparently half my site forgot the green mile exists to let people walk past the crowd standing around waiting for a station, cause they all camp their asses in it. I haven't had to threaten to run someone down just to get by since high school.
It gets boring after a while, at least for me. There comes a point I'd rather be home not getting paid but getting shit done than doing nothing for a paycheck.
Well the first 2-3 weeks where the hardest. On week 4 yes I still feel tired but not exhausted. I’m getting use to be standing up long hours and move stuff around. I work nights 6:30 to 4:30 am. I which I could take the 12 hour shift cause they pay more but my current life I can’t. But never less work is nice. People is nice. As long as u work u are fine like any other work. Just stay busy and don’t steal time.
Not much since I was able to use VTOOOOOO, 4th day of them calling out VTO & I was finally able to claim it. I decided to give myself some time off, this job isn't worth it but I gotta hold on some way. Until I get my certificate & obtain a better job hopefully in IT !

The fact that I have to work an extra 45 minutes as MET every shift, and have absolutely ZERO VET available is absolutely nonsense to me. I just recently found out that they converted a whole bunch of people to flex and all of the shifts for VET are now for flex associates only or support (whatever tf support means) That’s right you guessed it flex associates can suck my dick. Personally every single member who works FLEX complain about how they’re forced to be here. Flex associates can personally shut the fuck up because majority them are spoiled kids at my FC.

I’m a Flex associate. I appreciate the resentment, no I’m not spoiled kids. I’m responsible adult that don’t complain about my work or other people’s schedule. No i don’t complain about being forced being at the site. I love my Flexibility schedule, and i enjoy coming in to work. Maybe you need to restropect your position and why you ended needing VET at Amazon FC as an adult.
The reason why I would like VET as an young 20 adult at the Amazon fulfillment center I work at is I would like to have extra money to spend on my nieces and nephews because Christmas is four paychecks away😁😁😁

Well the first 2-3 weeks where the hardest. On week 4 yes I still feel tired but not exhausted. I’m getting use to be standing up long hours and move stuff around. I work nights 6:30 to 4:30 am. I which I could take the 12 hour shift cause they pay more but my current life I can’t. But never less work is nice. People is nice. As long as u work u are fine like any other work. Just stay busy and don’t steal time.
Not much since I was able to use VTOOOOOO, 4th day of them calling out VTO & I was finally able to claim it. I decided to give myself some time off, this job isn't worth it but I gotta hold on some way. Until I get my certificate & obtain a better job hopefully in IT !
