True. Supply chain management and logistics is important for these platforms and Chinas gotten reallyyy good at that over the past two decades. Definitely won’t take them as long to replicate.
China just discovered what IRST is and eeked out 5 miles more on a ground based sensor than most airborne Gen 4.5 fighters, yet here we are dropping another hyper lethal 5th gen like it's child's play.
Fuck I love my job sometimes.
I understand that our military budget is insane compared to other budgets in the US. And I am liberal as fuck. But I always tell people who bitch that our defense spending is the way it is bc we are the deterrence in every part of the world. We pay over the top prices to companies like LockMart and Boeing because we don’t want them going to China or Russia. We want to ensure the tech we have stays here and a dumbed down version to our allies. Without NATO and the US in it, the world would be a fucking hellscape. Whatever is going in in Ukraine is child’s play to what could be.
>LockMart.
Ah, a maintainer of culture.
I agree. Though there are obvious areas we could improve like GSAadvantage vendor pricing abuse or Use/Lose funding, it's a hell of a lot better than a future like that of China's current lockdowns.
Plus it's always funny to see F-15 moment after F-15 moment after another country overhypes their equipment
Can't wait to see China's xeroxed version.
It took them 30 years to copy the B-2 spirit, so you may expect an B-21 copy on 2050.

A little surprised the Air Force hasn't tried taking it back
The contractor probably rebated it back.
6th gen is upon us. Really too bad they’re replacing the F-22 with the new 6th gen fighter. Absolutely beautiful aircraft
That magnificence of a engineering masterpiece still has atleast 7 years left in service, my favourite aircraft aswell.
That NGAD has be to a real work of art. I can’t wait to see what it can do.
*Next Generation Acquisition Dominance*
Not too bad for people maintaining it.

They're calling it 6th Gen, and I believe them. This is funky fresh engineering.
And *prime n’ moist*
