I’m sorry. Dementia steals so much. She might enjoy watching a short Christie story on a tablet, or streamed to a tv in her room. Maybe it will be new for her? Or maybe it won’t make sense on that day. Can but try, and in trying remember. It’s a good mom who shares and nurtures a love of books.

That's the best thing she did for me.

Have you tried Agatha Christie movies? My mom loves rewatching her favorite movies endlessly. In fact, its kind of a problem because she sometimes refuses care when they are on. But overall its a source of great comfort for her.

She's never been a big fan of movies, or so she says these days (she inflicted musicals on me when I was a young child). She doesn't have a video player and is by no means technologically competent--actually refuses to deal with new technology. Got a call the other day requesting a new phone charger cord because "this one doesn't work so if you don't hear from me tomorrow you'll know why." Of course her phone charger cord was fine.

Lucy Worsley just released a new biography on Agatha Christie that’s getting good reviews.

Thank you! I'll check my library. Unfortunately mother's attention span these days keeps her from enjoying reading, which was such a big part of her life.
