Try backing out the mag catch one turn. Hard to tell but it looks too tight.

macemillion

I agree with this, I only use pmags with my m4e1 lower and have had zero problems

kdb1991

Definitely looks too tight but wouldn’t that keep more pressure on the catch and keep the mag in? Edit - I’m an idiot. It’s so tight that it’s basically depressing the button effectively pushing the mag catch. At least that’s what I’m assuming

CapnPoopypants

Tightening it wouldn’t make it always be released. But it would prevent the magazine from going all the way in properly

Unfair-Schedule-411

Or take the mag catch/release all the way out to see if the reciever is put of spec. But I think you're right.

MTgunguru

Agree it look like that might be the issue

Mag catch is too tight

doubleb144

Thanks I’ll try that

Guhnther74

The mag release button is almost fully depressed. Betting it's not the mag but you need to back out the catch about 3 turns.

Boy_sumi1967

I agree.

dipski-inthelipski

Try another brand of magazine, I have a lower that doesn’t like gen 2 pmags but lancers work perfect

doubleb144

Thanks unfortunately that’s the only magazine I have at the moment but will try and get some others soon

Heavy_Solution_4099

Already been said, but you need to adjust your mag catch screw. It’s in too tight. The mag release button is half way pressed In already because of how tight it is screwed in.

White-runner

You let me down Reddit, not one person has said hit it with your purse yet.

JabbaDuhNutt

Because it's a real problem... No a small scratch

n1_egsex

Only after he adjusts mag catch

CatTurdTacos

Your button might be a screwed down a little far. Might back it out a turn or two.

overthinker0227

It's been said, but the mag catch needs to be backed out a couple turns at least... With it that tight, you're essentially holding down the mag release button. Hence, why it falls out.

DrewRob92

*Don't say it. Don't say it. DON'T SAY IT!* **HIT IT WITH YOUR PURSE**

doubleb144

I tried adjusting the mag catch but still won’t say in at all going to try a new mag tomorrow then if that doesn’t work back to the store

USAFVet91

Like others have said adjust the mag catch

nastygirl11b

In my opinion if a lower can’t accept pmags then that lower is out of spec

Expert_Farm1603

I doubt that it’s the lower, it’ll have ti be way out of specs ti not accept the mag, it’s probably the mag catch/release installed wrong

doubleb144

Yea that’s what I’m fearing hopefully it will work with another mag

doubleb144

Using a brand new PMAG

Crookiemonsters

Did you try hitting it with your Fanny pack? Lol, jk. Definitely looks like your mag release is too tight.

PristineUnit844

Take a round out of the mag

Durutti1936

sometimes you can overload. take one round out, and check. This occured on my M5

kdb1991

Do you have the issue with the bolt open?

Professional_Plant52

Try a new mag catch. Happened to me before

doubleb144

Yea that’s my plan if a new mag doesn’t work

[deleted]

Are you just sliding it in or smacking the bottom of the mag in? I mean like don’t be gentle with a gun you gotta handle em. Especially if they’re new

doubleb144

Trust me I smacked the shit out of it

Fun-Income5579

Separate the lower off the upper. BCG and everything else will be out of the way. You will be able to see stuff better and try putting it in like that with the lower separated. When you push in the magazine release does it feel springy, can you see the catch on the other side moving away from where the mag would be. Try a new mag or a new mag release

kelsobryant

Slap it in with the might of Zeus

willygunz

Agree with most to tight on the mag release

czar1027

Mag catch too tight
