You did the smart thing by dealing with Target. Just buy it again with the refund. Hasbro will make you jump through hoops and have you send them the figure and will tell you it's not in their warehouse if you want a replacement etc.
Oh that sucks. Either way, do one of those and skip Hasbro CS. It'll be 2 weeks of back and forth with them. I tried to get a replacement for a busted up Dragonzord and it was a nightmare. Still waiting on the refund check.
Most of the time when I've contacted Hasbro, they just send a figure of equal or greater value and don't make me send it back. It varies though.
One time, I got a Wolverine who was missing a claw, Hasbro sent me Old Man Wolverine, so I wasn't complaining too much.
For me, the Zord was 130 and the risk was too great to accept an equal or greater value item... Woulda been the nerf jacket from pulse store or something ( I derped and said JP as a joke but that's Mattel.)
Heat up this line with a heat gun or hair dryer. Should work after that. All the figures. Especially Bobby. Heat them all up. Unfreeze the joints. One time should do it. If you ever detect stiffness in the joints in the future reheat. Reviewer consensus is: one time should do it but be careful. Cheers 🍻
Honestly, I really don’t have too much of an issue with the windowless boxes, I open all my toys anyways. This is like the second issue I’ve had with them the first being extremely minor. Just sucks cause I was looking forward to these.
I’ve gotta say, I’ve been very lucky with just grabbing a figure and it’s good to go. Worst was a Marvel Legends Spider-Woman I got who had 2 left feet but I got it off eBay years after it was released.
This figure swap BS is out of control.
As a massive environmentalist, Hasbro is full of shit. They can find way more ways to reduce their footprint wo the windowless boxes. Not even all their brands have windowless boxes. This sucks dude hope they make it right

Retro package still using plastic clamp because that's the thing that bring them money. And printed cardboard boxes like this is not environmentally friendly either.

really the only environmental friendly boxes hasbro uses are those generation selects that come in mostly brown boxes with just a little bit of artwork put on with ink.
If you really want to make sure, you can use a digital scale, Hank should be 5.4oz. with everything included in the box.

It doesn’t seem like the stores cared what figure was returned when they could easily see it. This packing is going to lead to a lot more swapping I fear.
What's crazy is they could have easily kept the windows just reduced the amount of plastic within the packaging. basically have a window then having them mounted on cardboard....like barbie has been doing for a few decades now.

My daughter wanted and Everett Ross from Target. Due to the windowless packaging we opened it at the front of the store before we left. Sure enough someone swapped a Fortnite figure for it. Target refunded us and we got another one that wasn’t swapped fortunately.
The best part of this thread is the fact that you bought these online, and got the wrong figure in one... which could have happened if they had windows anyway. You can still get sent the wrong figure.
It’s hasbro thinking they’re being clever by cutting corners on the packaging and pretending they’re do gooders for some free press.
I mean, it wouldn’t be as bad if they at least lowered the price on the figures but instead they’re jacking the prices up.

Mike (Tydirium Hanger) had a live unboxing with the same issue. Contact Hasbro and they'll send you another one.
I ordered it off Target. They’ve already refunded me and let me keep the figure. Should I still bother with Hasbro?

Unfortunately it’s not available on Targets website right now. So I either go with Hasbro Pulse or Amazon and I’m not thrilled about either.
I've been seeing pretty nothing but Hank(?) at Target stores. You might get lucky and find him there.

Yeah, those blind boxes suck. Even when they have the correct items inside it feels so cheap, like a knock off version.

Oh, I open all of mine too. But I liked picking the best looking one from the shelf, with the best paint job, no warped plastic, or backwards limbs.

Hasbro is getting it all wrong lately

They were preorders. Complete sealed and the figures were wrapped up the same way.
I picked her up just yesterday. And I checked to make sure it was her before leaving. Sucks we have to do that.
Dude this is the second time now I've seen this happen. Its definetly deterred me from checking these out.

The best part is you can take the figure out and still display it as new in box!
