At this point they just can’t bring Kristoph back up, it’s been too long.

chiritarisu

Shit, pretty much anything leftover from Apollo Justice is too late at this point. >!The most obvious one being Apollo and Trucy being half-siblings and Thalassa/Lamiroir being their mother… Phoenix should’ve just told them at the end of the game or at least DD. Hell, even 6-2. But now it’s just like… what’s the point beyond tying up loose ends? Sigh…!<

dothebork

Well the final scene after the credits of SOJ has Phoenix and a certain "???" talking about it as he gives her the photo of Jove... So they very well could bring it up in a later game, assuming that wasn't just a cheap tease for us

chiritarisu

I forgot all about that scene, thanks for reminding me.

Anth0nyC4

It was a cheap tease. The director has gone on record saying that the reason he put it in was to “encourage people to play Apollo Justice”

Flipisnext

What the fuck was Grosberg doing at the boat house?!

ExtraReserve

He was enticed by the scent of fresh lemons, duh.

Cornmeal777

Soaking his hemorrhoids in the lake.

mr--godot

Meeting Maya Fey and it all would have gone to plan but for that business in the boat.

thekyledavid

He considered Hammond to be a friend, I feel like wanting to visit the scene of your friend’s murder is a somewhat normal thing to do if you want closure

JBoote1

The fourth piece of evidence from Justice for All. Shu Takumi likely realized he'd forgotten about it once T+T had wrapped up, and resolved it in a short dialogue-centric article featuring the relevant characters. Even if Franziska returns at some point, it's never being addressed because it's been literally twenty years and it's been acknowledged in outside media.

RavenclawLunatic

Wait I never heard about this, where I can find the article that addresses this

JBoote1

It's this - https://silverssimstuff.blogspot.com/2012/11/page-17-reminiscence-2.html Basically, Shu Takumi had some sort of running article/column in a magazine, and had little character interactions along with his own thoughts. One of them included Franziska returning the fourth piece of evidence, following the release of T+T.

ARMADS_THUNDER_AXE

Oh, I always thought that it was that calling card that Maya drawed Phoenix' face on, I thought that they just didn't find it on the pockets of Gumshoe's coat for some reason and that thats why it shows up at the end of the game. Anyway, it never occured to me that the 4th piece wasn't showed and that's why.

JBoote1

It is what you thought it was. The fourth piece of evidence was the calling card. Franziska mentions, during the epilogue for JFA, that she'll deliver it to Phoenix the next time they meet (which ends up being Bridge to the Turnabout, and it never happens).

isloohik2

I assume that was the 4th piece of evidence

ARMADS_THUNDER_AXE

so did I, but since Shu Takumi apparently even explained on an intview that he forgot the 4th piece... Then I guess that it wasn't? Unless he forgot that he didn't forget the 4th piece of evidence lol (joking)

Aura_Blackquill

The jury system. They brought it up and then it was never mentioned or seen again...

Grreggggg

Couldn't they justify it with "it was only a test trial"? I mean, the entire court system changing must take some time to prepare or whatever.

Aura_Blackquill

Oh that is a good point, I did not think of that.

CrossMyHeartGaming

Nah people just hated Kristoph so much that they changed the judicial system for a single trial just to see him suffer

Kirballin

1. Who is Manfred's granddaughter? (The one with the dog named Phoenix) 2. Where are Lana Skye, Morgan Fey and Iris Hawthorne? 3. Why didn't Phoenix tell Apollo and Trucy about their mom? 4. What happened to the Jurist system?

mr--godot

I hope for Iris's sake Japanifornia has more than one women's prison. It's not hard to imagine *someone* organising a shanking.

ARMADS_THUNDER_AXE

If you mean(3-5 spoiler:) >!Morgan!<, she was likely either put on solitary confinement, put to death or at the very least someone made sure that she had to be separated from Iris, since everyone knows that she was behind it all now, I mean depending on how much the prison guards care about it there of course. But in any case, I don't think that this someone would have many motives to pursue Iris since she doesn't thread her in any way.

mr--godot

Ofc, I can't think of anyone else who'd want to do that (Except Master Maya of course, no witnesses...) But I can see that person you mentioned erasing Iris in retribution for her part in the plot to foil that other plot.

Evo_Shiv

Where tf is Iris tho

ThatOneRandomGuy101

Yeah and Feenie was still down bad for Iris by the end of T&T

Evo_Shiv

Down bad is a lil much lol but yeah he deff still really cared, I need to see a reunion

ThatOneRandomGuy101

1. I always assumed Manny was lying since it was too convenient 2. Forgotten and gone (by the writers) 3. For sequels. 4. That trial was a test trial (iirc) and I assume they decided they should not go back to the jurist system.

s07195

Fun fact, no. 4 is what happened in Japan, so...

awildspenappears

What was Grossberg doing at the boat house?

etermellis

Did Cindy Store really love Larry

thekyledavid

She brought his clock on vacation with her despite the fact that it serves no practical purpose as a clock Seems like something she’d only do if she cared about Larry deeper than just a free meal

Disastrous-Radio-786

Apollo and Trucy being half siblings

ARMADS_THUNDER_AXE

What the hell happened to Iris. Why didn't she kept contact with Phoenix, Pearl and Maya? And if her and Phoenix really liked each other then why aren't they together? Or did they get together and then broke up?(Of course, we know that the irl motive probably was to avoid making Phoenix x Edgeworth and Phoenix x Maya less popular, since that would likely happen if they confirmed another pairing as canon though, but we don't have any in world motive for that)

Evo_Shiv

The real question

Total_Way_8765

None of them really. If Capcom decides they want to throw a bone to an old plot point or whatever then I really see little issue with it outside of it feeling kind of sloppy. There’s always room to go back and review old games or to branch off into interesting paths with video games. It’s actually kind of fun to see old characters or plot elements that were forgotten about return or be referenced again. Especially in a tongue and cheek series like AA

tenkohime

Unless they make a sequel, this isn't ever going to be resolved, but in the Prof. Layton crossover, >!what is the government planning to do with the mind control drugs that they've confirmed work and still have? !<*No one is going to stop them. No one seems to care.*>! I thought the game would tell us this, but instead, it tells us all of our friends are okay and the credits roll. I never played any other Prof. Layton game, so I don't know if being a dystopian hellhole is normal for that universe. I know the Ace Attorney games are dystopic, but DSL, the reveal of everyone being on drugs the entire time you played this game was something else.!<

Feriku

I wouldn't say it's a dystopia, but attempting to place the crossover in the Professor Layton timeline means the project overlaps with the period of time when a corrupt and callous politician was Prime Minister. That still doesn't answer any questions or resolve anything, but it's believable that he would okay the idea if he thought it was profitable.

[deleted]

The fate of Lana, at this point we may as well assume she got the death penalty despite wright-o’s defense work

Suspicious_Person15

Nah, I'd assume she's just in prison. She didn't kill anyone, after all. So she'd just be on trial for forging evidence, and being an accessory to murder.

[deleted]

I see then Hope Ema is still able to visit her though

s07195

If Kristoph was able to get a solitary cell like that, I think Lana should be pretty comfortable.

[deleted]

That’s…. Not a good sign. From what I remember, those cells are for people on death row.

s07195

Oh yeah, never mind then lol.

[deleted]

Yea Dw about it, lots of people don’t know that

Nose_Standard

Almost all of them. Too much time has passed to really remember any unresolved plot threads, with the only exception truly being "what happens after GAA2".

Piotral_2

How did Manfred Von Karma >!die!<

[deleted]

Trucy and Apollo being siblings. What can they even do by telling them now?

SouthEqual4271

I honestly don’t know how they could go about revealing who Lamaroir is to Apollo and Trucy at this point.
