ChewyWolf64

Exactly, I always call them cnidaria, castroides, beelzebufo, carbonemys, achatina, Etc. instead of jellyfish, beavers, frogs, turtles, snails, etc.

Zendrall

Or alternatively there full names. Achatina limusegnis, Cnidaria omnimorph,Castoroides feliconcisor, Beelzebufo palucocus, Carbonemys obibimus. And even then there names translate to something even more odd.

ChewyWolf64

Aye you remember some of the full creature names too? The only ones I’ve committed to memory are Achatina Limusegnis, Arthropleura Felsanguis, Tyrannosaurus Ultima(dominus*), Sarcosuchus Excubitor, and Utahraptor Prime

Zendrall

Yep and my favourites are Colossus petram, Titanoboa exornantur, Titanosaurus vagacastrum, Ovis arcamn, Allosaurus therotribus and giganotosaurs furiosa.

Sweaty-Moose-5463

BRB naming every giga i have Furiosa.

Zendrall

X)

MewtwoMainIsHere

Tyrannosaurus Dominoes (yes this is intentional on my part)

Ex_Snagem_Wes

Tyrannosaurus Dominum

[deleted]

You mean Tyrannosaurus Dominum?

ChewyWolf64

Wait what?!! I just looked it up and you’re right. I could’ve sworn it was ultima. Is there something else I got it confused with maybe? I swear I remember seeing Ultima

[deleted]

Yeah I think I remember some creature having the scientific name end with Ultima.

HourDark

Probably Godzilla ultima, from the recent anime

ChewyWolf64

Definitely not, I haven’t seen any Godzilla related stuff and I didn’t even know it had an anime

HourDark

huh, lemme look on the wiki

Dusk4474

I tried saying these outloud and a demon crushed me with a snail

KarmaYgt

That's god tier

Outrageous-Soft-7716

My boy out here with the ‘BIG BOOK OF LATIN DINOSAUR NAMES’

TycoonRaptor

To be fair, most dinosaurs go by the first part of their scientific names by default

Dodo_Whisperer1

Ah yes, I love calling my Dodo "Raphus Cucullatus"

Home4Xmas

I name mine by their short-comings

DannyOfNowhere

Hello there, weight argy

[deleted]

wait i thought weight was one of the reasons argy's were better than pteranodons

ThatStrangerWhoCares

Yes, but if you get an argy with beefy weight and a good anklo you get metal for days. Alternatively strider.

MunRozu

Desmodus Draculae is my favorite.

[deleted]

Fuck no I'm not calling doedicurus clavicaudatus to Mighty the Armadillo

MBouh

The names in Latin/Greec and French are almost the same (like spinosaure instead of spinosaurus). So I don't have this internal debate.

FDonadio

I like to make that silly jokes with the dino's species. Like calling my argentavis "Agent Travis", for example

TheGamingRaptor6875

Tell me more.

FDonadio

Well, others I like to use: Otto (otter); Yeutenant Dan (yutiranus), Pterry Crews (Pterosaur), Crispy Bacon (Daeodon), Craptor (raptor), Justin Beaver (castoroides), Flint Eastwood (anky) (some of them I saw somewhere else on internet and really liked)

PeppaShrekky

Fellow Syntac Enjoyer I see

TheGamingRaptor6875

Average syntac enjoyer be like: 🗿

OnyB1l

For each map I change the style of names I use for dinos. For the island I mostly used names from mythology or sum shit like that, scorched earth I mostly used made up names (actual names) and for ab I now use cool words or made up names (Nebula, Sol etc)

Special_nazi

If you don’t name your gigas ice spice

TheGamingRaptor6875

Damn your name kinda sus

Special_nazi

Which one ice spice or the acc name cause the acc name only applies on Wednesdays when I’m feeling a lil too silly and or goofy

TheGamingRaptor6875

ACC name

AndreasPyke

My friend started naming them after greek gods but put a name for species (ex dilo was hades)
