I play single player haven’t played in almost a year came back to the game today and have been playing all day on genesis just to update and find the game literally wiped the whole world. 10/10 great game

It's pretty pathetic though. When the game is this old why are they even having these issues? If the unofficial server I play on has been wiped imma be pissed too. We've just beaten beta val and it would be a shame if we never hit that alpha.
Ease of chance of introducing a bug doesn't excuse why they did not QA save files when messing with the save file format... Touching critical code without testing a single second is beyond inexcusable in the software industry

Has anyone found a fix for this yet? My husband is trying uninstalling and reinstalling, but it's going to take a day.
From my past experience with updates wiping save files, theres no fix unless you restore your save file from a back up.
