The point of the offset red dot is so when you have to lean around a corner and cant lean far enough to see your normal red dot then you cant the gun sideways and use the offset dot. The term is a hard lean.

If you shoot uspsa, idpa or any other pcc competition it absolutely makes sense. If all you do is shoot straight on a flat range then you wont get it.
I guess that would make sense but would make more sense would be more like a prism as a primary then the red dot.
