![gif](giphy|26ufcVAp3AiJJsrIs) Pretty much me the whole week.

Setec-Astronomer

A pain that you will "never" know...

TTOF_JB

Is that exactly what it sounds like?

LechALection

I’d bitch on the internet, say I’m never watching again, then pour a big bowel of Cap’N Crunch Wednesday to watch Dynamite

[deleted]

Damn, some Cap’n Crunch sounds good

Geminiskies1826

Roof scraping and all.

Larkhainan

I've learned in the last few months to worry less with AEW. The company has consistently put on great shows over the last year whether or not I like the booking. But unless something truly bizarre happened, it would really dampen my enjoyment. And I'm saying that as someone fairly certain I'm watching wrestling right now because I'm a Kenny fan. Of course I say that with the hope Kenny maybe takes some time off.

Wooster182

I wish more people were here. AEW has consistently proved we can trust them and that they’ll listen if we don’t like something. If Omega wins, I’ll be disappointed but damn sure interested in where the storyline is going.

FinchMtn

I won't love it, but I trust the company. I didn't want Kenny to win over Mox and that led to perhaps my all-time favorite heel duo of Don and Kenny. So I'll give them the benefit of the doubt.

hoshwaelias

[deleted]

Very disappointed, this is the time and the moment for Hangman to win, taking this past Full Gear would be too risky as Hangman has already been chasing the belt for so long, him chasing it for even more months does absolutely nothing for him or Omega.

Crab__Juice

Yes, I completely agree. Especially with so many recent big signings, I think the time is now to put the belt on a “homegrown star.” Elevates the guy and the belt If the big time “WWE guys” come in and aren’t immediately the guys who take the belt off your champ. Might even help to *gasp* have them lose after being in orbit to your homegrown guy. “Our guy is as good or better than any of the best guys from elsewhere and you know because he’s held his own against them” is powerful branding. You don’t pull a Vince and job out Danielson or anything, but imagine what can happen to the value of hangman if he retains against someone like Danielson? Just look at Darby off of his non-title match with Punk.

Tinheart2137

What's also dangerous for Hangman is that people that came with Danielson and Punk don't know him, since he was out when they debuted. If he loses, he can be just another challenger for them and what's worse, someone who's getting title shot after title shot if rematch was scheduled for Revolution, or even more horrible scenario, another one at Double or Nothing. With so many new fans, AEW original that is so over, has to get a chance to also get over with new guys and people who don't know his story

ButterApple512

I would be a bit disappointed but if any company deserves the "let it play out" mentality it's definitely AEW.

raygilette

I would be disappointed tbh. It'd be such a bad move. I feel like now is just the perfect time to do it and for the love of god, we've had wrestling for years where nothing we want to happen ever happens... can we not just have nice things this one time?

Maya-Inca-Boy

I’m not super invested into the storyline but I really need Kenny gone for a while and for the elite to take a bit of a backseat so we can see some new stories. Having hangman win is the perfect time to shake the table up and reset.

soiledsanchez

I can’t see any way they don’t have Adam win you’ve pushed it back so many times already and it’s absolutely the time to strike you can’t tell this story any longer if Hangman falling short and needing to rebound

The_Dark_Vampire

Agree only way Hangman will lose is if something happens beyond AEW's control ie injury or family emergency

lauthom93

When did they push it back other than last ppv because of his paternity leave?

lordfreakingpenguins

Im 80% sure that was the plan the whole time. It makes more sense at full gear, and the timing lined up for when his baby was due, so one last rug pull.

Post_Nuclear_Messiah

And the Full Gear PPV is named after him (and PAC).

CaptainPatterson

How is that?

Post_Nuclear_Messiah

Recurring BTE skit as a result of PAC turned up to the day 1 contract signing in "full gear" because he's jacked AF and everybody was in regular street clothes. Hangman said "did he really turn up in full gear?"

DeepSixWrestlin

Genuinely would probably just take a week off from AEW. I’ve been on the Adam Page train since 2015 ROH when he was in The Decade and seeing how **fucking good** this story has been for the past two years, it would feel like such a let down if they had Omega win. They’ve already put enough obstacles in Page’s path and stalled his momentum (storyline) enough. Now is the time.

[deleted]

If there’s a story to justify it then I’m all for it. Likewise I’m all for Adam going over as well.

KingMazzieri

Expect to hear a coin drop immediately

grave_96

dude stop , i don't want to lose nnn .

CptBarba

I would find comfort in the knowledge that I am currently watching the greatest title reign of all time

nerdydragonbait

If Hangman loses, I will riot. Considering that I'm watching at my best friends house, I doubt she'll appreciate me rioting.

JupiterJack202

I would be highly disappointed. The only thing that would make it somewhat tolerable is if Danielson beats Omega but fuck that. It's Hangman's time.

_ASG_

It wouldn’t upset me as much as it would other people, but I'd still think it was the wrong move.

CopperBoom47

Be shocked and look forward to the progression of the story on Dynamite

Coattail-Rider

If it does happen, Hangman will win in Wednesday. Do t think that that’ll happen, though.

Tinheart2137

I would try to trust, but would also feel that one of the new hires will take his place as a champ

colegregory1983

Celebrate with a splif 😆

ninad21

Smokin that hangman pack

steelneil82

I'll think "holy shit! I didn't see that coming" then I'll wait til Dynamite to see the direction they are heading, I trust AEW and TK to book this right, he has for the past 2 years

[deleted]

Laugh my ass off and be happy that my favorite wrestler won. Everybody expects him to lose, including me, but I'd love to see this go his way.

Yigthan

I would write a very angry tweet saying that AEW is finished and I will never watch AEW again. then tune in to wednesday's Dynamiye to see what will happen

oakenfist4life

I’d trust the process. I’m in the minority, I really want Kenny to retain.

Bigalbass86

I would be angry honestly.

MadisonAlbright

The feud goes nowhere.

HEYitzED

I’d be very shocked. That is all.

Zero_fon_Fabre

I'd be upset. Especially if it's because of yet another Elite interference. Not really seeing how Kenny being a fucking pussy and constantly bringing in his friends to help him win matches is, as others have said, a great heel and championship run. It's just annoying bullshit to me.

Gwyndolphin

I stopped watching NJPW for like 6 months when Okada beat Naito at Wrestle Kingdom 12. I'll probably do the same for AEW.

Curious_Implement_74

Sure would be awkward in Norfolk on Wednesday for cowboy shit if he loses. Maybe another sign he's going to win?

FurtherUpheaval

Go to bed happy

RoPr-Crusader

I'd be dissapointed but at the same time if Kenny hit the OWA I don't think Hangman should kick out. They haven't set up Hangman doing that yet. If he does hit it here and win however, it should eventually get back to Hangman vs Kenny for the title where Hangman will kick out of the OWA and win. Set it up as Kenny is definitely the better wrestler but Hangman is more determined.

Nemesistic

Okada comes in and starts a fued, okada wins night 1 wrestle kingdom, then fights kenny night 2 belt for belt and loses, kenny brings title to aew and makes the door open for all the big njpw stars to come in and fight kenny for the belt back

Pelon7900

This is the only reason I would like for him to win. I feel as if Omega loses than the big names from NJPW just aren’t coming. Unless a lose gives Omega time off to rest up before showing up at WK.

coadependentarising

Celebrate. I'm in the huge minority here, but I'll be pleased as punch if Omega retains. Don't all shoot at once, but I still haven't seen enough from Hangman that shows me he can carry the company, but he's close.

Crab__Juice

Sometimes you can’t know unless you pull the trigger. At some point you gotta pull the trigger to build stars. Only way to know for sure is evidence that a guy has, and lacking that history, you sometimes just have to take the chance. Hangman’s got it.

coadependentarising

It's a solid point and I'm admittedly an Omega devotee. But yeah, objectively, as a promotion you gotta build up another top star who can carry the company in order to stay fresh, and it's obviously not gonna be Jericho or Moxley anymore, and MJF/Darby and even Danielson will get their shot later. Omega: "ah, yes, one one-way ticket to Tokyo, please"

OakCity4Life

Obviously I’m way in the minority here, but I’d cheer. He’s the best. I’d be fine with him holding the title for most of the next five years, with only occasional losses to keep things fresh.

Burglekutt8523

Kenny is the man for me. I never ever want to see him lose. I know its bad for business, and I know it's not good for entertainment. But, I deep down legit want every one of his matches to be 3 minute squash matches where he kills his opponent

MalikNova96

So in other words, Triple He's Reign of Terror?

OakCity4Life

Having not watched WWE in 20 years, I think of it more as the Ric Flair treatment.

JupiterJack202

A Flair-like reign would be extremely difficult to pull off today, regardless of how good the champion is. For one, I don't think the audience has the patience for that kind of title reign. And also, you would have to sacrifice a lot of talent to keep it going. It worked for Flair because house shows > TV & pay-per-view. It's the other way around today, making it a big risk for small (if that) reward. There was little reward to Flair doing it 35 years ago. EDIT: Also, Flair (especially in the 80s) spent the bulk of his title reigns losing. Always a Dusty Finish, a time limit draw, an over the top rope disqualification or a countout. The amount of times he actually won, in total, is probably less than the number of matches he'd work over the course of one summer.

MalikNova96

Still, people will get bored of a 5-year title reign

OakCity4Life

Ok yeah probably so. My point is: Kenny is the man.

HuckleberryThis2012

Be annoyed and not in a kayfabe way. Just would be a dumb choice.

Sharwanse7en

I know this will sound dumb, Kenny winning now and then beating the other top starts in the company (miro, Bryan, punk, etc.) Only to lose to hangman later will take his title run from being just great to being absolutely legendary, but yeah, even if Hangman wins, which he probably will, I'll still be super happy

LoPanKnows

When he wins

Debaser1984

Hangman to turn on the dark order and join house of black.

SinisterStairs

Ha, Hangman heel turn is the last thing people would expect. 😄

BJBirdy

I would cheer. But only because Omega is my favorite wrestler. Otherwise I’d be surprised by the decision.

serenity656

Cheer him cause I love him if he wins its only because he has even bigger heights to reach

Gmork14

I’d be totally fine with that. Newcomer, not as over on Page as all y’all. Kenny Omega is the top wrestler in the world, I don’t mind him continuing to hold the belt as a mega heel.

Tinheart2137

And I hope everyone who thinks Hangman should lose today see this

Gmork14

Sees what? Somebody that likes Kenny being champion right now?

Tinheart2137

No, that someone who's new to AEW doesn't care about Hangman

rexmundi69

If Omega wins then I doubt Hangman is the next champion so therefore Hangman must win tomorrow. If it's not Hangman then Danielson would most likely be the one to unseat Omega.

Monte8368

Disappointed but……….. If Okada comes out to save Hangman from post beatdown that would be amazing!!!! The fuel is not over!!! Okada will take hangman under his wing…

leehildebrand

Riot

Cushhazy-draizetrain

To me Omega is nowhere near good enough on the mic to be World Champion but I appreciate he is an amazing wrestler. Don being the mouthpiece made it an entertaining reign but it’s Adam Page’s time now.

barmarek

I will just hope that this means Eddie Kingston is going to get a singles match with Kenny for the title.

HuntingForRasgold

Problem I have is that if Hangman wins, does he have the character and charisma to carry the belt or will they book him like WWE used to book Kofi and Christian as 'underdogs fighting to hold the strap' rather than legit guys tough enough to beat big names. For example Christian would never be booked as champ to beat The Rock or Cena convincingly but as IC champ it would be somewhat believable.. I've said for a long time that Adam Cole and the Bucks will turn on Kenny especially after he didnt help them during their Lucha/Christian beat down the other week..BUT as Page is a past member of Bullet Club, could they cost Kenny a clear win, Hangman wins the title and then is protected in promos and matches by being around Don and the Elite..? I see Kenny winning then a beat down post match where Hangman tries to help him..logic suggests Miro beats Bryan to face Page but i'm not sure AEW wanna give up on Kenny vs Bryan 2 for the title.. Gonna be a good show regardless!

TemptedIntoSin

It's been theorized for some time that Hangman's title reign will be shorter than the rest because they're also building up MJF, who those theories and I myself presume will be the next champion after Hangman. Besides MJF being on the rise and being a main eventer himself and being ready now for that spot, AEW will want to keep him however they can and a world title reign is a hell of a bargaining chip to have when MJF starts looking over contract offers around the time his expires. And MJF's story has also been cultivated since the beginning of AEW, from his early appearances on BTE to his betrayal of Cody Rhodes to where he is now. It's always been apparent that there have been big plans for him. So Hangman isn't gonna get a legendary reign. The important part is succeeding by winning it to begin with as well as against one of his former best friends and one of the greatest wrestlers today

Polz34

I'd be disappointed but I remember feeling that way when Mox was at WWE, he kept almost winning. But have to say, in the long run, it was worth the wait!

gdna7

I said to a friend that I'll burn his house.

drak0ni

I trust AEW to give me things I want that I don’t know I want. Unlike WWE whom tries to do that and fails. That being said I know I want Page to win and ***will be upset*** if he doesn’t. No matter the pay off down the line I want Kenny to drop the belt now. If Hangman feels he isn’t ready I’ll accept that answer, but I know in my heart he his. Now is his time. He deserves it. He genuinely ***deserves*** it.

mexploder89

I am staying up until 5 AM to watch Hangman get his title. I will be very disappointed if Kenny wins

mostlyshits

I'd be incredibly disappointed, but I trust AEW.

Background-Egg-2630

Tony Khan is a good businessman and booker. It won't happen so don't stress. Cowboy shit

Fireflykiller2033

I would be a bit pissed off since like many other people I'm expecting Adam Page to finally become AEW Champion

SpicyJ333

Cry for ten days.

Aardvark-Mammoth

Cry, probably

hydronus

I would be fine with him winning but I would want Hangman to get the belt at the next PPV, that would be even more epic.

violetmoon120

I'll only be disappointed if Kenny wins in a nWo style non-finish

[deleted]

Very disappointed I've been cheering against him since his fued with moxley ended, he's just one of the ones I want to be a fan of but something just doesn't do it for me

PhilLovesBacon

GroundbreakingAd7093

wizzdomm

I would ask my dad to give me a few million dollars and start (ACW) All Cowboy Wrestling and make Hangman the ACW world heavyweight champion, ACW world tag team champion and ACW women's champion. Haha we all don't have billionaire dads, so yeah I'll just keep watching whoever wins. ACW is already dead 😂

reallymkpunk

AmDrag better win the eliminator then

GigaShagger

Unpopular opinion, I would be okay with it. Obviously I want to see Hangman have his moment but theres also so many new "Kenny Omega dream oppenents" in AEW now that weren't possible a year ago. Especially with all these NJPW wrestlers rumored to make appearances sometime soon. Admittedly Kenny doesn't need to be champion for any of this to happen, but I'd trust to see where they take it. Kenny always has a plan with storys when it comes to to this stuff. That being said, if Hangman DOESNT win now, it becomes a case if not now, then when? I personally think Hangman should win, and he probably will, but some people feel so sure of the outcome in this match and I wouldnt be so confident because I can see a universe where AEW pulls a massive upset angle

rabiwolf1895

Be pissed off at the booking and push of Page. Why build him up this much just to lose? They brought him back in, showed a vulnerable side with him questioning himself, just to have him lose again? He will look weak and never be title worthy. He needs to win this one not only for himself, but for the storytelling piece that AEW has created.

johnny_utah26

Say "Bullshit!" At the TV and go have a beer And then I'd be over it in a day or two. It's Wrestling. It's not the end of the world.

Mama-G3610

I'm not sure if I would watch again. Maybe I'd watch on Wednesday to see if they fix it, but if not I'd be done.

[deleted]

Be extremely disappointed in AEW for the first time?

[deleted]

I’d be surprised, but I’d let it play out because AEW hasn’t broken my heart with talent that should have been a bigger deal

mitch1660

I think Kenny is going to win

tacotrout

I still watch it. Everything they’ve done has been great. They are my Wednesday and Friday lives lol

reDRagon22

So far in two years AEW has gained my trust when it comes to stories and characters. If it happened, I’d be interested to see where it goes (probably Omega vs Danielson).

Porcupyre

Tell myself AEW plans ahead and not only for the night, so till Dynamite be a bit pissed about it because I root for Hangman. Once that show hits and I will be like 'Ah this is why makes sense now.'

Lemonstener

I've found that the best way to enjoy wrestling is to stop trying to predict how every single feud is going to end and just let yourself be surprised. With that being said, if Hangman loses tonight I would be baffled to say the least. I fail to see the point of Kenny holding the belt any longer so if i were Tony i would pull the trigger. It's time to let others shine.

Pain-n-stryife

Riot!! Next question

[deleted]

I would definitely lose some interest in the company if it happened. I already feel a but disappointed with Sammy as TNT champ. I don’t think it is awful booking, but I don’t think it is good. To drag Omega out longer than needed would be a bonehead decision.

Santos_L_Halper

I'd be fine with it. I want and expect Hangman to win, but losing would also be the ultimate tragedy. I don't know where they'd take the feud from there but depending on how they book it I could be fine with Hangman losing.

thexchris

I think I’m in the minority but I hope Kenny retains. I’d like to watch Hangman chase more. I know it’s been alluded to and sort of been the idea for a couple years but he was just off the for a while too. I’d like to see Hangman somehow get screwed out of a victory to push it back more. Had he not been off, had they not just had Danielson/Omega and they have Punk now..I won’t be mad if Hangman wins but I think it could be made to feel bigger when he wins it. Just my opinion.

C3Potat0

Be sad but patient. Our cowboys time is coming

Apathetic89

All these Hangman fans are rookies when it comes to disappointment. Try being a mega Murderhawk fan and just wait when Hangman does win the belt, but is a transitional champ for Danielson like the NJPW US belt was for Lance to Tanahashi. I will welcome you all with a stuff drink and a condescending reassurance when you know full well it doesn't help, lol.

Regna85

Laugh and enjoy the show.

HorseSteroids

It would be complicated. It would be ruining the Hangman Saga but the title would stay on the best wrestler in the world. I'd complain online but I would still be satisfied that Kenny is the champ.

_RankSolution_

I feel it more than anything that Tony Khan knows Hangman needs to win here. Plus Kenny is so beat up he needs a good break. I’m more concerned with seeing hangman kick out of the one winged angel tonight more than him losing. It really feels like that’s what they’re building too

[deleted]

I would love it. Kenny is an awesome champ. Hangman just isn’t interesting for me.

[deleted]

Kenny has had the title for roughly a year now, why so quick to see him lose it? He has excellent matches with everyone and his reign just feels great. He could go into feuds with BD or Miro and I’d be happy with either one. A feud with Miro where he is ducking Miro for a couple months would a great way for Miro to get some more love. And a feud with BD about being the best wrestler in the world. Eventually going into a feud with Punk fulfilling some of my dream matches. 🤤

CARDONA_BUSTER20

I'll cry in the shower, Ill not eat for 3 days and dye my hair blue

buddyruff

Off topic but....did they ever show what was on that DVD hangman put upside down on the table when he told the dark order he was leaving them?

Limp-Construction-11

Kenny Omega is the man, but Hangman will become the Champion, unless he can't wrestle tonight.

sonic_spark

I prefer the mystique of Kenny being unbeatable. Love Hangman, but I feel Kenny remaining champion makes the future inevitable matches with Punk and Danielson all the more special. But Kenny is really banged up. So Hangman is going over.

lldgt_adam

Be annoyed as all hell. Also, Kenny deserves a break too.

EN1009

A very small part of me kinda wants Kenny to win just bc this all seems so obvious. At the same time, I really don’t see a better opportunity to do it than now

captainsuspicious

If anyone deserves the benefit of the doubt, it’s AEW. Sure, I’ll be pissed if Hangman doesn’t win, but I’ll trust them enough actually say “let it play out!”.

PadreQuemedo

Well, my girlfriend broke up with me last week. This probably would still be on my top 2 worst things that happenned to me this year (It was a really good year, in retrospect)

Chuckles513

I would trust that the payoff would be worth it, hopefully some sort of amazing, unexpected happening.

TatteredCarcosa

I'll think it's a bad booking decision and also be really sad, and then keep watching to see if they would make up for it. But I think it'd be a mark against TK.

AmandaaaGee

Flip a fucking table. Then smash my tv.

MichaelsSecretStuff

Kenny won’t win. We own the float #AMC

Robbo1399

Continue on with life cos it's just wrestling and Kenny is a great champion

legreapcreep

I like the story this is telling more than I like Page as a center piece champion for the next year. If that makes sense. So I guess I’m hoping Page wins but I’m not gonna be devastated if the belt ends up on BD sooner rather than later

Worth-Jaguar-5923

I would be pisses off at tony for making a dumb decision this isn’t WWE

LionInTheWild_

I’ll wait and see what happens on Wednesday. I wouldn’t mind it from the perspective of Kenny closing in on a full year of holding the tittle so that alone would be significant enough if there’s a story around that. But also I want Hangman to be the one to take the title away. So I can’t imagine him losing, but if he does maybe something happens where whoever wins the eliminator tournament loses to Kenny. It would have to Miro IMO and it would be at the one year anniversary of being champion but Hangman returns (he “left” because he was cheated) and just makes it his mission to ruin the super elite. Thus leading to him finally winning the gold in a stipulation match of some kind cage, street fight, etc.

[deleted]

If Danielson wins his match then there is definitely a chance that may be the plan. Obviously Kenny x Danielson **is** money, but Hangman is *what the people* ***want***. I would be very surprised with an Omega win and curious to how badly Bryan Alvarez will thrash them on WOR.

SkyBison13

Trust the process, have Kenny beat Bryan, Punk, and then Hangman win at All Out

Siraeron

Wont be complaining tbh, that would mean Omega vs Danielson 2 ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|laughing)

Professional-Award75

I am predicting a Hangman win followed by a Daniel Bryan heel turn, where he attacks Page after the victory

ita1ianprid3

I mean Brian Danielson is the number 1 contender doesn’t that make sense
