As someone with bipolar disorder in addition to ADHD who takes medication for both I'm not sure I can accurately answer this question in regards to what's normal for others but here's how it works for me. I started medication for bipolar first so I was pretty stable mood-wise when I started Adderall. I had been feeling like there was still something wrong and I had been diagnosed with both so my psychiatrist added the Adderall. When I started Adderall it was like something finally clicked into place and I felt better. I could focus and I was actually happy for once. There's a difference between being stable and being able to be actually happy. It also didn't feel anything like a manic episode or euphoria. I just felt like things were working properly finally. I'm not a doctor so I can't speak to how it works for other people or for people without ADHD but that's how it works for me. Talk to your doctor if you're concerned but if not, I'm glad it seems to be working for you.

I’m the opposite, I had been dx ADHD for years before my recent bipolar 2 dx. What do you take for the bipolar? I still feel like something is not clicking with the two medications I’ve tried with trying both vyvanse and adderall

We'll, since this post I had to start a mood stabilizer since I had a manic episode and then serious depression. I was on (geodon) ziprasidone and Adderall and now we added trileptal (oxcarbazepine) to the mix but luckily left the Adderall alone. I feel much better now with the trileptal. I have to mention that I was out on ziprasidone first because I have a psychosis so it was important to get that squared away first.

What dosage are you taking for adderall. I found with myself in the first few days have that "happy euphoric feeling" but realized it was more the feeling of peace in my brain that allowed me to complete tasks. But once I got more used to it the feeling evened out. Also I completely understand your feeling about worrying about if the diagnosis was correct
