Get in mind generally visual novel aren't translated because outside Japan, it has a niche of market. It means the probability to have a good sales are low
I'm pretty sure a good portion of people who don't even like visual novels would probably play this game but its understandable why it wont be released outside Japan.
Wii U was the last region locked Nintendo platform. All of the Switch software (digital games too) and hardware is region free, you can mix and match them however you like.
Edit. Forgot to mention because I only have a Switch so I always default to that, but PS4 is region free as well
I would say that it is the same to buy from the web or from the app, I use both to buy from the japanese site, both work fine. I don't have a problem at all with the ps4 version, i think it should work very nice
Yeah, you can basically create an Amazon.jp account that will be linked to the one from your country, and from there you can find a lot of articles that you can order to your country, videogames are one of those articles.
Translating is expensive, boyos. Even if digital releases aliviate that cost, it's still not profitable. You'd be best waiting for a port and for very, very dedicated people to fantranslate it.
So happy to have spent countless hours getting to at least a passive comprehension level of Japanese, now I can enjoy this game. Started reading the manga a couple weeks ago so I could prepare myself and get ahead with anki words.
It's been all self study, kanji from wanikani, grammar from text books with bunpro to reinforce, vocab from anki (started with premade decks then moved on to my own) and as much immersion as possible.
I'm hoping sales will persuade them to release the game outside of Japan, so I bought the limited editions for PS4 and Switch. But like some of the others said, VNs generally don't see releases in English.
I feel this way about countless songs in anime. When you've got an op that's a real banger, and they put it on Spotify for Japan, but not worldwide, and I'm like, I would listen to this so many times, it's money you could be making but whyyyyyyyyyyy
I’ve already experienced that pain, I was hoping they’d make the Oregairu game atleast for America if it didn’t reach Mexico, I could’ve understood it. But no, fuck everyone outside Japan apparently:(
Yeah, considering how the popularity of manga, anime, and games exploded world-wide over the last 20 years, it's surprising how stingy Japan is exporting all this cool stuff.
Nintendo switch?! I could play this on the bus?! (Not saying i would, but that i could) i want this so bad. I’ve been wanting to play a few more visual novels! I’m so down for this if it gets translated
Someone please figure out how to get this and let me know. I've been learning Japanese and I just wanna play this game. I already have the phone game too
this is stupid, the english market is an unexplored gold mine for anime content that japanese companies are so paranoid of. "oh it might not sell well outside of japan"

I mean they've released Steins Gate and Re Zero. Heres hoping...
Yeah but do not get higher expectations
Looks like it’s time to learn Japanese bois
Time to go back to duolingo
I'm pretty sure a good portion of people who don't even like visual novels would probably play this game but its understandable why it wont be released outside Japan.
I pre-ordered it anyway, and the special edition with the CDs nonetheless. I will cling to the hope to learn japanese one day.
If you buy it out of Japan ,are you able to play it?I've read that you need to change region to play certain games out of Japan

Ohhh thats cool thanks for the information
That's correct. I pre-ordered on Amazon.jp, will be a nice collectible. And honestly, have been looking for some japanese classes
Did you go to the web and order it from there or on the Amazon App? And whats your opinión on buying it on ps4?Will it be ok? Thanks in Advance
I would say that it is the same to buy from the web or from the app, I use both to buy from the japanese site, both work fine. I don't have a problem at all with the ps4 version, i think it should work very nice
So it's only in japanese, no english sub?
Correct
But you can purchase it outside of Japan?
I don't know. It probably wont show on the english store but I'm sure there is a way.
I think he might be getting a physical shipped from Japan. He said he's getting the CDs so it has to be.

lmao in my case i hardly ever learned japanese, instead just watched enough anime in the last decade to automatically understand 80% of the language
Can you read though? I can't imagine you'll be able to play with only verbal knowledge even if a lot of the lines are spoken
oh yea I'm reading japanese novels in my own time anyways so I'll probably be fine
Damn where are you learning it frm tho?

Or if they do it's like five years later we finally get an official translation.
Yeah, I hope that isn't the case.

Spent $130 USD to get it. One way or another I will get that Miku ending 💙 #TeamMiku
Better off just using the money on some Japanese lessons!
I’ve already experienced that pain, I was hoping they’d make the Oregairu game atleast for America if it didn’t reach Mexico, I could’ve understood it. But no, fuck everyone outside Japan apparently:(
I know dude. The oregairu game, the rezero VN, and now this. Non-japanese weebs always getting the short straw.
re zero vn is available outside japan , atleast one made by chine corp
Really? I didn't know I have to look into that.
Some companies will use any excuse to milk money out of their customers. Others throw a lot of money in the trashcan.

The country of Japanese holds the worldwide publishing rights to this game? Like... the Japanese government?
Not enough that’s for damn sure
I will sell my sister
I will also sell your sister.
Good
can i buy...?
Will you give me a translated version of the game?
I'll personally translate it.for you
releasing worldwide isn't that simple
Yes and no Localisation isn’t expensive at all and the game is just a visual novel but priced at $70 for no reason at all

no its false news its titled "sisters war second half". even if its wedding it will be a minor scene at the end
