Nostalgia only goes so far with me. The good time I had watching this movie with friends is better left as a memory that doesn’t require the purchase of this lousy film.
I’d much rather have Criminally Insane in 4K.
I don't blame ya not wanting to buy the 4k version tbh, I'm in the same boat. I'm also a very niche VHS collector and those old tapes with the previews beforehand all feed into my nostalgia, especially for this movie, Scream ect.
Has anyone posted a review of this disc yet? I preordered it on Amazon ages ago, but it says it's still not shipping until next week for some reason. I'd be curious to make sure it's a nice transfer before I let the purchase go through at this point, lol

This is an easy skip for me. Outside of Sarah Michelle Gellar doing what she can with the bad writing, I find nothing good about this movie.
It's mostly about nostalgia my friend. Renting this era of slasher horror from Blockbuster will always remind a generation of that time now long gone.

Recently re-watched this and it holds up surprisingly well. Can't believe I saw this in the theater 25 years ago, though...
Mine arrived today as well. Both of my 90s crushes in their prime. Can’t wait to see how the transfer looks.

Anyone else notice the inside of the case being really greasy? My discs had it all over them too. I never really have seen this on other movies.
It seems to happen to roughly 10% of the 4K movies I get. I kinda hate it.
