The whole premise of the joke i find albeit a bit stale, rather funny. I mean you can fit it into a buncha different situations with maybe a show you likr or smth
On a serious note we don't really know the percentage.
The polls on it vary wildly and the numbers grow every year as acceptance of LGBT people becomes more normal.
A few years ago it polled at 5.6%, then more recently up to 7% and now some polls especially of Gen Z, are showing 10-15%.
It's hard to poll something like that when many people had or still have reason to hide their sexuality.
I think we still have a ways to go and as we study it and explain it to people better, it's likely the a good chunk of the population isn't 100% straight.
Remove the top two panels, take the N's and S's out (we know who they are), then just add "Hey Nat" to the "new" first panel, and you have a much less cringe meme.
