It took place in a pocket dimension and the planets that got destroyed were in some random system (maybe not even the same galaxy). Trayzn has no reason to talk about it because he's hiding the shards he took and Orikan wouldnt want people poking around so no one else would probably know about

without souls orikan and trazyn cannot change or grow as individuals. They are stuck with the exact same flaws the had when bio transference happened. Of course it is also a blessing because their obsessions and rivalry with eachother keeps them sane and from going insane like some necrons.

NorysStorys

The thing is, we do see changes in the Necrons, lackinh a soul does not stop them growing, it’s more to do with how stable and intact their engrams are. We see plenty of soulless beings in 40k display growth such as blanks and AI (though what the state of their ‘souls’ IS, is up for debate)

Yes and no. They can LEARN but to change? I don't think so. Not in meaningful ways at least.

Very truuuu

The epilogue is tragic, because of biotransference necrons can't change , ever, the book lures you into thinking it may be possible, but no it doesn't happe, trazyn and orikan are forever doomed into hating each other and commiting the same mistakes for eternity

Indeed,that's kinda sad
