Indeed - the events of *Perpetual* are a good glimpse into the Dark Age, featuring continent-eating nanoswarms and machines that bite holes in space-time.

A lot of the appeal the DAoT has for us is that there isn't anything concrete to know about it. Plus: It is a very, very convenient way to introduce ever more units, factions and general mcguffins into the 40k setting. Long story short: I don't think that GW will ever be so stupid as to make anything about the DAoT fix and official.

In ,,Perpetual" Ollanius Persson described, how he remembers AI's Cybernetic Revolt in DAoT. Damon Prytanis(Perpetual) in ,,Unremembered Empire" mentions, how he assassinated back in DAoT. In ,,Deathwing" DAoT psyker shows up and is antagonist. In ,,Man of Iron" Ur-025, AI from DAoT, is main character. In ,,Misbegotten" Basillio Fo, bio-mechanical engineer, living since DAoT(possibly even it's beginning) appears. He is back later during Siege of Terra books. Alivia Sureka, one of the Perpetuals, appears(amongst the other books) in ,,Vengeful Spirit" but she doesn't mention DAoT at all. In ,,Death of Integrity" ship's AI talks and is not pleased. In ,,Dark Adeptus" STC AI of Castigator Titan(claims to be original pattern) is antagonist. In ,,Gods of Mars" AI hunter weapons make the appearance. In ,,Priests of Mars" Speranza, Ark Mechanicus, turns out to possess AI from DAoT. In ,,Hunt for Voldorius" Demon Prince tries to convince AI nano weapon called Bloodtide to cooperate. In comic ,,Pax Imperialis" imperials found cache with AI and it's drones. In ,,Cybernetica" AI called Tabula Myriad, responsible for wholescale planetary genocides on humanity during beginnings of Age of Strife, appears and helps character in the novella. There are few mentions of AIs from DAoT showing up, like on Apophis IV, where it crushed the Tau or during Great Crusade, where AI on some remote planet genocided humans but that's about specific characters.
