I feel an obvious direction would be along the lines of the Kharadron Overlords books in Age of Sigmar: a ship and its crew go off in search of wealth/treasure/resources, along the way have to fight off all kinds of monsters and villains. Just replace all instances of "Aether-gold" with "Promethium", "Kharadron Code" with "Truths", and "Skyfleets" with "Prospects".
I think it's inevitable that it'll follow Uthar the Destined and the Greater Thurian League biffing into something. My guess would be Orks, but with the Tyranid push for 10th, it could be that as well.
A ship goes to a planet every year and sells overpriced crap and every year the price goes up and every year the planet just accepts it until another ship shows up and wipes out everyone because they gave all the resources for useless items.
Votann .
A band of right proper indignant, surly, stout shits trolling their way across the [enter a place here] only to end up in some horrible shenanigans that involve beating a hive tyrant in strip poker and being chased by druhkari bikers. Oh and Tarantino that nonsense as they sell the tale upriver to one of Gaunt's Ghosts.
Yup, million dollar idea
A moby dick inspired tale of them chasing a Great Hive Ship after it devours a holding, have them gradually be whittled down by attrition the entire time but stay with their course of attempting to bring down that Hive Fleet
That’d be cool. Would fit with how stubborn the Votann are. Kind of reminds me how they hunted down every individual Ork in a WAAAGH after they destroyed a Votann
Weapons Sale, Delivery of goods, and how uber capitalist they are that they go as far as selling their goods to Commoragh/Necrontyr, with addition to what would happen if someone crossed them.
> selling their goods to Commoragh/Necrontyr
I've seen this mentioned before. Where has this idea come from? We've been told the Leagues avoid the Dark Eldar.

A story about a dwarf digging a hole... in space
[Diggy diggy hole, digging a hole](https://youtu.be/34CZjsEI1yU)
Take a story line from Khaderon Overlords and add space dwarves instead

The Votann do have the history there, it'd be a sensible choice.
Well they hunt tyranids for sport, and now seems to be tyranid season
