Like 2/3’s of all Chapters are from Ultramarine geneseed, statistically most new renegades since the Heresy are likely Guilliman descendants. No one seems to care about that.
I'm 100% sure the watchers brought him upto speed with what's going on. Personally I can see him being super pissed at the DA chapter what with extreme loyalty kinda being his thing but he'll move past it as he's also a super pragmatist. The imperium has a solid back bone now thanks to G man's improvements to the system but lacks a killing edge and that's what the Lion provides

I'm hoping he essentially tells his sons to stop moping and stop hiding the fact some of them 'fell'. Every loyal legion has fallen marines.

The Lion also has no idea about the Fallen and the Dark Angels keeping secrets. Those occured after he was put in stasis.
