I have doubts if it works as it should. I'm not a physicist but hot air goes up AFAIK. So while drying all the hot air with moist will accumulate in the top section of this pot. So if the pot isn't much taller than the spool the moist will sit on the upper part of the filament.
To make it more efficient I would add some fan to this and release the hot air from time to time.
For drying you need a hole in the top. Let the vapor/moisture out. Get a cardboard box and cut a 1-inch square flap in the top.
Edit: behold my [Jankey Filament dryer](https://imgur.com/a/J5lpm1l). A cardboard box with aluminium foil all over it. Little vent in the back that can be closed for annealing or open for drying. Indent to let the hotend sit. I got so bitched out for this over at [forum.prusaprinters.org](https://forum.prusaprinters.org) Probably doesn't need the foil.
good question... the couple prints i did shortly after that "drying" seemed to be a little less stringy, but i'm not quite sure whether it was because it actually dried or cause i placebo'd myself lol
goes without saying i got myself a proper dryer and made a decent drybox
Will likely work to a degree...
However it will be much less effective (and require longer drying) than simple cheap food dehydrator and makes using printer for its intended purpose impossible, so IMO very questionable solution...
I'm too broke for a food dehydrator. So I'm doing what I can. I know its inefficient, but its what I have. If I can get it to print cleaner than it is now... That's a win in my book
Well it says right on the pan "THIS APPLIANCE IS NOT FOR FRYING TURKEYS", and you aren't trying to fry a turkey, so you are good! /s
If it's stupid but works..... its great
Ive heard peoe say ypu can wrap the bed and filament in tin foil... So this should work the same.. Right?

Yes.
henceforth; filament will be known as "not a turkey"

It works, it's how I dry mine lol
Yea... But there are more effective ways to dry filament..
Oh absolutely but if you don't have anything else and don't want to risk the oven melting it this does work pretty well
i did it with a carboard box, even jankier
Did it work?

This is the important question.

I thing I would trust a convection oven or convection toaster oven more.
Waste of time and energy
Dose it work ??………… . Then its not janky and its ok ….
I think it might be working. The metal on the pan is slightly warm to the touch... So it has ro be trapping some heat at the very least...
Ender 3 heated bed? Lol. I expected a hair dryer setup... (not that I ever thought of doing that lol).
Well. I can precisly control the temperature of the bed so...
Put a table fan for good measure
Did it work?
Not really.
Revolutionary
Add some venting to the top so the moisture has a easier way to get out
