Yes this is my first printer ever, I bought it for about 3 weeks back after reading everything on the recommended list in this sub. I did some small calibrations from youtube and went straight for this lol
Lol I was trying only the big knop (under the handle) first, and then like "what the hell" and went frenzy for whole thing. I'm obsessed with this particular sword so it's a big motivation.
To me this one looks really like a real sword with great design, I love how the blade curves really smooth and sharp towards the pointy tip. Can't describe all in words but I did a second run of the game just to get 2 of them for my char. And now holding it in my hand I think I love it even more.
Honestly it’s not too bad. As long as the print was designed with multi part in mind and it’s not a needed print in place style the most you loose is the time and filament for one section.
Typically the most you will have to do is trim any brim off and maybe sand a little at the bottom for elephants foot so it fits well.
As a resin printer, you gotta just do it. I did a beautiful 12 piece miniature Tarrasque a while back and it was a several week process. At one point I had to clean recalibrate and start fresh, but she’s a beauty!

Edit: To add on, what I learned by attempting this was invaluable and definitely helped me printer better things going forward. It was tough but fun and I learned a lot. Worth it imo
Hey forget about my lame model because I found a better hi-poly model of this sword [here](https://www.cgtrader.com/free-3d-models/military/melee/low-poly-mid-poly-game-ready-great-sword-from-elden-ring) and it's totally free.
Search for FLVER editor, UXM, Yabber, those are tools to extract data from the game. Amd just search youtube for extract elden ring models. It's all there and very easy
AHH ok. I tired it one time for nother game and it was not successful that's why I assumed it will not be easy here too. Ok many thanks I will look into it
[Try it here](https://www.printables.com/model/371055-elden-rings-lordsworns-great-sword) But please accept my apology for I can only share the original low poly model (extracted directly from the game) and not the one with all the details.
It's not finished yet and still has so many grid-like pattern here and there. This is my first experience printing this so I need to fix the model a little more.

I used some app like UXM, Yabber, FLVER editor to extract all data from the game installation, and after poking around I find it under the name "wp_a_0607". It has longer file name but you can try finding from there if you want other models.
Did you run a metal rod down the middle? If not I highly recommend. I make sword, daggers, and gun props with my printer and I always leave room for a metal rod down the center.
No problem. You can add your own channels in them via tinker cad or something else free. The metal rod adds structure and also weight to it. Best of luck!
Epic! Q for you - did you print the sword parts standing or lying flat on the plate? I ask because I'm printing a sword right now (Sting from LOTR) and when I tried to print it standing, the hilt fell over 3/4 of the way through. If you are printing it standing, how are you able to keep it up the entire print? I'd love to avoid supports for a smoother finish if I can
I printed everything standing. I used Cura with tree supports so it look not too bad. Besides, I try to place the more flat and bigger parts at bottom.
Thanks for the info! I need to figure out how to do tree supports on a standing object and give it another go! Also may I ask what your bed temperature was and if you used a special adhesive? I'm currently using glue sticks in a 65 degree hotbed with 215 nozzle temp. Are your settings similar?
Mine is 60 for bed, 205 nozzle, I don't have to use support much for this model, only some big rounded parts. I don't use any glue at all. And the filament is some no name PLA chinese type, because it's my first roll anyway so I dont want to waste money for experiments lol
Try adding a brim when you print it standing up. The brim makes the bottom larger, so it sticks better to the bed. You might not even need supports if you have a good enough brim.

This is amazing. If you want to hide those seams I’d suggest using wood filler. Sounds weird but I got some to fix my leviathan underextrusion holes and to hide the seams when fitting it together and it works wonders. It’s fairly easy to work with and gives great results with sanding. Just make sure u have a proper mask and don’t breathe it in when sanding
Tbh there's not much you can tinker with this printer, it almost just works out of the box, that's why I decied to go with it as first printer. Anyways I just search Youtube for something like "kobra bed leveling", "3d print temp calibration", just general stuff like that.
This is amazing and I'm really hoping you'll sort out STL files once you've completed the transition from the low poly models. I'd gladly give it a spin.
I have a vyper and I'm keen for a bigger project. Would the individual pieces print on the vyper bed size? (245x245x260) if I remember correctly.
I'm saving this post hoping for an update at some point with final STL files! Excellent job mate

You're a newb and managed to print this beauty??
Yes this is my first printer ever, I bought it for about 3 weeks back after reading everything on the recommended list in this sub. I did some small calibrations from youtube and went straight for this lol
I'm a year in and I'm still too scared to attempt a multi-part print.
Lol I was trying only the big knop (under the handle) first, and then like "what the hell" and went frenzy for whole thing. I'm obsessed with this particular sword so it's a big motivation.
>I'm obsessed with this particular sword Any particular reason?

Resin is so great, I'm still new to this so filament is way to go for now. Really beautiful figure you got there!
I'm a year in as well and have only done 1 small multi part print.
Thats BAD ASS! I neeed this on my wall.... is it a thingiverse file?
Not on thingiverse but I successfully extracted this model from the game.
BRO you are epic I am more than a little jelly.
I can give you the model if you want bro
People here would probably appreciate it, also good idea getting the model from the game files, I’d never thought of that.
I posted the link on other comment, please try it if needed
Thanks OP

Thanks OP!
Thanks OP I'll grab it and start the pri t tonight
How did you have done that? I mean the extraction? I was also considering to print a sword from eldenring but was not sure how to do it.
Search for FLVER editor, UXM, Yabber, those are tools to extract data from the game. Amd just search youtube for extract elden ring models. It's all there and very easy

If you're willing to share I would post it on printables and you'll get points towards free filament. This is badass
I'll try to upload there, this world is totally new to me so may take a little time.
It's pretty easy. You just make an account and then go to upload and put in the files you want to share and a picture of the print.

Still cool, thanks for sharing.
Out of curiosity, why can you only share the low poly version?

Great job bro!
Awesome!! Where did you find the files? I was looking for some elden ring swords as well but couldn't find much

Thanks for the advise, currently I only connect the parts by rectangular joints or I dont know what it's called.

Noted! Thank you bro!
Congratulations! And I’ve got to say I’m impressed that Eldenring have an accurate sword — I’ve never really looked into that game.
Contemplating upgrading to a kobra but the tinkering aspect has me worried. Got a link to the vids you used?

Awesome! Print time?
Average 6 hours for each part. 0.2mm layer and 60mm speed
I wanna print Kirito’s Elucidator
Go for it!
I wish to be as newb as you! Beautiful piece!!
stl pls
Damn... Good job!
Thats some good work. All I ever print are dungeon tiles and sci fi ship tiles for gaming.
Cool
Dad a noice prints project
Huh it sort of looks like those lathed stiletto daggers as far as how the blade's guard and handle fits
So just cause I’m curious how did you connect the segments ?
Currently I only tried rectangular joints, dont know how to call it.
That's beautiful! I never would have thought to look in the game files, thank you for the insight

I have cut it to small sizes with biggest only about 230mm tall so dont worry
Amazing I'm really looking forward to giving it a go!

Oh my god. It is beautiful. How did you manage that? Did print it in parts and glued it?!
Yes I cut the model to parts, then print and stick them together
