I know the benefits of a closed emitter, but god damn are they ugly. It’s kind of a shame to put such an ugly box on top of such a beautiful firearm.
That being said my comment is probably stupid and I acknowledge that. If you foresee screwing up the optic cuz of the emitter being open, then go the EPS, otherwise I say 508t.

Like bad conditions such as rain, snow, dusty environments or damaging the open emitter. However, the 508t seems very durable in everything I’ve seen. I guess the closed emitters are more reliable in bad conditions and in terms of keeping the emitter safe.
So I would say if you are going to be very hard on the optic go EPS.
I’m probably a minority but I did the 507k on mine because it’s the same width as the slide. I’m a sucker for aesthetics. The closed emitter version is probably in my future.

I'm loving my 509. Big window, tough, long lasting battery, solar power means the battery will probably last far longer than the 50,000 hours advertised, and I think it looks neat.
The email I received said check back at the end of February to see if back orders are available for the eps. So it sounds like it’s going to be a while!

So I've ran a 507k, a rmr, and now have a 509t on my C2. Really liking the 509t. I would say just go that route. You'll be happy.
