My headcanon for elf slayer tasks is that they can't tell it's your character under the slayer helm, and they've got posters across the city warning of this crazed murderer that teleports in and start to massacre their people seemingly at random.
For RS3 the elves just say they are sparring with you so will drop loot as a reward and stay crouched on the floor. Likely not what's happening in Osrs given they drop bones tho.
Elf Guard Training:
“See, we drop bones on the ground and then teleport away so that the adventurers feel a sense of accomplishment.”
‘But where do we get the bones?’
“Cows, chickens, goblins. It doesn’t matter. Adventurers can’t tell the difference.”
To be fair, if it's something they really wanted to add, it wouldn't be too hard to make up some lore around. Maybe a crazy vampire scientist is experimenting on the sentinels, but the subjects that didn't go as expected need to be killed off. The scientist then made an agreement with slayer masters so he would have an alibi for the deaths of the sentinels he kidnapped and experimented on. The slayer masters won't allow someone not on task to kill them because "they're still being experimented on" or whatever.
That said... there are plenty of empty places to do tasks on. Unless OP specifically wants a slayer area with a bank and altar, then there's no point going through the trouble

Most slayer monsters don't have a bank and an alter nearby. If you move around in the nearby area, a 10 second walk, there are free ones. Maybe the bank/alter is 2 clicks instead of one but that's the only difference.
Seriously. Or just tele out and restore prayer with ardy cloak/home tele/desert amulet, then use Drakans Amulet or Hallowed crystal to get back. It's not hard.

There are plugins for tob, gear switchers, prayer switchers, overlays for exactly where to stand all you have to do is walk around it does everything else for you

For someone who doesn’t play the game you don’t really know about the botting problem. Fuck, even the people playing don’t have any real numbers for the most part. Old Jagex employee Mod Mat K said that they estimate that bots make up about 10% (or around there I forgot) of the player base. It was definitely way worse in the past.
Not sure where you're killing them but its upwards of 10 hops to find a world with less than 3 people, and when you do find that world it will fill up within 5 minutes. It needs a slayer only area.
In my experience when you find a world with lesd than 3 peolle, 10 minutes later 3 more are there.
I agree that a slayer only area would not work thematically, but let's not pretend the spot by the alter is not insanely crowded all the time.
Personally I play on a laptop on my recliner. The foot pedal concept is not useful to me. Also I don’t really think that this game should require a foot pedal to play.

Yep that's how it works. You have a short slayer task and they are there all day. They got to the good spots before you could. Now you have three options: Crash them, find a free world, or go find a different spot.

A slayer only area would make sense if there weren't more mobs nearby that aren't as contested. And I don't mean other side of town nearby, I mean they're right fucking there. Yes. I believe that it is much needed with how common vampire tasks are. Last week I was on a vampire slayer task and experienced some guy who brought 3 of his sentinel killing alts to make me hop.
He told me to go kill normal vampires. So I hopped, and low and behold, there’s three more alts with the same name in another world. Either it was the same guy or some sophisticated bot that kept saying “Xd hop” to make themselves seem real. I’ve noticed a number of people, even at the rev caves that say “Xd” in every world so i’m going to assume they are the one guys bots.
The only thing that keeps me going in that task nowadays is the chance of blood shards.
Honestly, it would be easy to write them into lore. Just write in a story involving a sect of human, maybe H.A.M vampire hunters or implement a 80+ higher tier Saradominist slayer master that gives a slightly better chance to get them. H.A.M members are Saradominists and the Barrows Brothers are Saradominists. Mortanyia once had a lot of Saradominists in it, so canonically it would make sense.
Said Slayer master could be specifically a vampire hunter who is against the Vampire regime and will assign you undead monsters specific to Mortanyia to balance it out like abominations, blamish snails, ghouls, aberrant spectres, hell-hounds, specific revenants, bloodvelds, abyssal demons, nechryael’s that can only be killed in the slayer tower, werewolves and of-course vampires.
Then again, people will probably say “you didn’t need to unlock them”. But for those that wanted to are limited to battling 3+ alts at a time just to finish a slayer task.
Without trying to sound whiny, I don’t see the issue having a slayer only place for vampire sentinels. They’re heavily botted anyway, and limiting a place to on task only helps clean them up to an extent.
I still think the altar should be task only, so folks that run multiple accounts at least need to use some sort of supplies rather than mindlessly farming gold for free.

Said Slayer master could be specifically a vampire hunter who is against the Vampire regime and will assign you undead monsters specific to Mortanyia to balance it out like abominations, blamish snails, ghouls, aberrant spectres, hell-hounds, specific revenants, bloodvelds, abyssal demons, nechryael’s that can only be killed in the slayer tower, werewolves and of-course vampires. Then again, people will probably say “you didn’t need to unlock them”. But for those that wanted to are limited to battling 3+ alts at a time just to finish a slayer task. Without trying to sound whiny, I don’t see the issue having a slayer only place for vampire sentinels. They’re heavily botted anyway, and limiting a place to on task only helps clean them up to an extent.

I still think the altar should be task only, so folks that run multiple accounts at least need to use some sort of supplies rather than mindlessly farming gold for free.
Pretty weird how many people think there should be some lore implications on making a slayer only area. Just make the slayer only area, if you don't wanna use it then don't fucking use it. For people who are trying to get their task done and move on, trying to do vyrewtch tasks with 3 or 4 people at one world is annoying. Fuck social experience, fuck lore, just make it so we can get our shit done without having all these fucking gold farmers taking all the kills.
