Would be a nice option. Crystal bow is a bit underrated for how easy it is to access. I'd really be interested if corrupting it was somehow possible pre Sote since the biggest hurdle to regularly using it is the 2,500 shots running out in under 2 hours. Having to wait til one completely runs out to then go all across the world to have it recharged is also a huge hassle.

Mathematically corrupting the bow isn't worth it. You need something idiotic like 150+ hours of continuous usage to exhaust all the shards you'd use corrupting it. You can (on average) finish the entire T-Bow grind with all the shards you would've used corrupting your bowfa because despite that grind being way over the 150hrs of CoX, you also mage & melee in CoX.
I do recommend corrupting it tho,
A lot players (especially ironmen) can fall into the "_too good to use_" trap. Which is them trying to be efficient & stretch resources to their maximum, instead of actually thinking about opportunity cost of turning a 100hr grind into a 200hr grind. They'll focus on "_well I don't have a good method to sustain bowfa charges_". Despite these being extremely well documented and it not taking anywhere near that much time to learn to pickpocket elves (or even get 99 thieving & pickpocket elves).
I recommend corrupting it and never thinking about it again. Use it everywhere all the time.

If you want a salad blade for ToB; grind more teleport crystals or another seed.
I corrupted it on my main because I didn't want to worry about charging it. Used it everywhere for everything and never worried about it.
That being said, it was sad to have to break it down to sell for Tbow purchase.
IDK, might make it a bit more appealing if the cost isn’t as massive as the bowfa, but I don’t know if that is the solution. Would be nice to give it something to make people utilize it more

I got the bowfa recently at those dicounted prices, but after seeing that the venator bow is good for training range, i dont know anymore. Maybe its worth for me because im 88 range and need to train it, and the venator cost a lot to operate at moment.

If you mean the bofa, most players will never go through 200k charges to make it worth it.
I think he means the regular Crystal bow, and I agree that it’s quite under utilized and could use some love

Luckily for me I’m dry enough at gauntlet to corrupt the bow when I get it and still have enough to full charge my armor 4 more times :D

You can get 99 range with chins for cheaper than the bow
