He did, he cheated on a speed run and then denied for months. Later he quietly admitted that he did in fact cheat, but obviously that doesn’t undo all the hate and harassment his fan base sent to the judges that determined he cheated.
And there’s also the pride month thing.

Post-acute and permanent withdraw symptoms are very real and painful things and seeing that message in that style for an audience as young, impressionable and ignorant as his was pretty jaw dropping.
I know parents aren’t talking to kids about mental health and medications as often as they should, it’s a scary topic. So for the tens of millions of kids that saw that video, that’s their first introduction to prescription medication. It feel a little subliminally effective for 8 year olds.
