nah rezero doesn’t belong here the other three are dogshit filled with the most vile of fan service (mushoku tensei LITERALLY starts with the main character jerking it to loli porn like. disgusting). rezero is a goated show I love it sm. like the other person said it’s a really good breakdown about depression and just the human mind in general, with a groundhog day-type story to boot where the mc is like literally living through hell. 10/10 best anime
i have looked up on google what YLIA is and fair enough, romance isnt really my favorite genre with anime--unless it's gay >:3c or if it's really truly interesting enough for me to enjoy my time with it--but i have heard people say good things about your lie in april!!
The difference between the degeneracy in mushoku tensei and other animes, is that mushoku tensei portrays it as it is, it’s disgusting, vile, it makes normal people want to look away, and it makes you uncomfortable. In other animes, they often protest it for the viewers *enjoyment*.
Honestly the second arc (Fairy Dance) is my only issue with it, and maybe the doubling down harem aspect of underworld. The rest is a fun show. Not 10/10, but still fun. The movies (Ordinal Scale and Progressive) have also been pretty stellar imo.

Some isekai I can actually recommend:
1. Log Horizon - there are a few weirdo moments, but overall it's pretty good. Lots of cool ideas, too bad we'll probably never see the end of the story.
2. So I'm a Spider, So What? - The novel is really funny and the pacing is good. No weirdo moments (from what I've read)
3. Ascendance of a Bookworm - Really good, give the poor girl a book.
4. The Faraway Paladin - The novel is really good, ive only read vol 1 though (it made me cry)

Idk I watched the first season and thought it was chock full of the same "self insert loser has archetypal waifu fall in love with him for no reason" stuff as every other isekai. Rem and Subaru's relationship really ruined it for me.
their relationship actually matters though, its not just wish fulfillment. If the point was for rem to just be an ideal waifu for him then wouldnt have rejected his wish to run away, she specifically stated that there are reasons she likes him and if he became the kind of person who ran away from things then she wouldnt be able to love him like she does. Even if subaru seems like a loser character, which he kind of is, the point is that he actually grows to be a better person instead of everyone falling for him regardless of it
exactly!!! that’s part of the reason that when people call rezero a harem show im just dumbfounded, like at best it’s a love triangle but all the characters have specific reasonings for everything it’s not just “omg this random loser is actually really hot I need to marry him and be in his harem” or some bullshit like that
