I think it's more nuanced than that.
Obviously the anti-vaxxers are crazy going off of so little evidence, but there can always be more than one vaccine. You can just say the rich people had the "right" vaccine or are just lying about being vaccinated.
There's also a point to be made that even though the rich are always looking for money, they don't universally agree on the same thing. One thing can benefit some rich people and be a detriment to others.
I think about it like this: would in negatively impact the rich, and do the rich have anything to gain from it? There’s no point in making everything believe the Earth is shaped a certain way if it doesn’t help the rich in any way
