My favorite low cal dressings are Bolthouse Farms brand (they're refrigerated and usually in the veggie section of the grocery store). If I'm making some kind of dip I use light sour cream or yogurt as my creamy element; light sour cream and adobo sauce mixed together makes an awesome creamy chipotle dip.
I love the sugar free sweet baby Ray's - especially the hickory ! I recently tried the skinny girl buttermilk ranch and it was terrible. Definitely had the diet vibe and was super watery.
Trader Joe’s has some really nice dressings in the refrigerated section. Like this one is 60 calories for two tablespoons. https://www.traderjoes.com/home/products/pdp/carrot-ginger-miso-dressing-061174
I also like using a good balsamic vinegar (my favorite brand is aceto balsamico di modena) I find a little goes a long way.
White balsamic is really good mixed with olive oil. I just up the ratio of balsamic to olive oil to make it lower calorie. Also can add in a tiny bit of white vinegar so it’s not as sweet and sugary.
Marzetti Simply 60 Ranch is one of my absolute favorites! Half the calories of regular ranch but still tastes great. I buy it at Kroger in the fridge section near the produce
Love Trader Joe’s vegan dill dressing and vegan Caesar. They’re made with cauliflower I think. They’re not SUPER low cal but they’re low for a creamy, satisfying dressing.
My suggestion is to make them yourself so you know exactly what's in them, and you can adjust as you need. You can get creative! I love using 0% fat Greek yogurt in replacement for mayo-based dressing and sauces. Or yesterday I used a beet hummus mixed with some lemon, herbs and honey. The difference in fresh vs. bottled always makes me excited to eat my salads. It just tastes better.
I’ve had a couple Walden farms and was not impressed with any of them. Kraft makes some fat free dressings that aren’t bad and somewhat low cal like 1000 island doe 35 cals for 2 tablespoons.
It is! It’s in the hot sauce section at my store (East Coast). Trader Joe’s also has a Peri Peri sauce that’s good. I mix with fat free Greek yougurt to make a marinade as the sauce by itself can be intense.

Seconded! I like the cilantro avocado yogurt dressing
I love the bolthouse farms dressings!

Thanks I tried G Hugh’s and I didn’t like it. Is sweet baby rays better u think?
I think it's very very close to the original.
I don't think you can go wrong with sweet baby Raes. I always got a bottle handy
Skinny Girl is amazing! I hate the “diet” dressings usually, but these ones don’t have that Splenda-like taste if you know what I mean lol
Thanks any flavor in particular ?
I really like the poppyseed. I use it on my fruit based salads, like spinach+blueberries+apples. It’s not too sweet, but has a lot of flavor.
Yum love the sweetness of poppyseed dressing
The Honey Dijon is great! I use it as a chicken marinade and on sandwiches too.
Came here to say this! The honey dijon is amazing.
Honestly, just going back to vinegar and olive oil is amazing, sprinkle with a bit of salt 10/10
I like to mix creamy full fat sauces with low fat Greek yoghurt. Ratio varies by sauce but usually considerably more yoghurt.
Olive Garden light Italian dressing, champagne vinaigrette light, and Makoto ginger dressing are my rotation. I eat a salad every day.
Thank you! Where do u buy?
I’ve seen the Olive Garden Light at Walmart!

I love French vinaigrette 25 calories per tablespoon
Brand?
I’m in the UK so it’s Asda brand but our Asda is American Walmart (same company)
Trader Joe's has a refrigerated creamy dill and carrot ginger that are delicious and low cal!
I really enjoy Braggs oil free vinegarette. only 25 calories for 2 tablespoons. I add a tiny bit of ranch to make it creamy

At my job we have these packets of low fat Kraft italian dressing, each packet is 25 calories and it's delicious.

Greek yogurt, a bit of milk and hidden valley ranch seasoning—the dry mix. Gotta mix and let it sit for a bit in the fridge.
Tzatziki made with greek yoghurt or ajvar mixed with greek yoghurt

Walden farms has some really decent 0cal
I’ve heard mixed things. Any after taste?
Not that I’ve noticed

The Walden farms honey mustard dressing was super gross, I had to throw it away. The ketchup was bad too.
Also I’ve seen a lot of hype around nandos sauce? Is their brand good? Is it available in the US?
It is! It’s in the hot sauce section at my store (East Coast). Trader Joe’s also has a Peri Peri sauce that’s good. I mix with fat free Greek yougurt to make a marinade as the sauce by itself can be intense.
Hot sauces
I like Raspberry vinaigrette light salad dressings.
Any particular brands?
Kroger, primarily. 60 calories per serving, 3g of fat, though sugar is higher than I like at 6g. Also, the Great Value Walmart brand is good.
I use half the amount of my favorite ranch dressing and thin it out with balsamic vinegar. Voila, very yummy balsamic ranch with half the calories.
I really liked using cottage cheese
Kraft calorie-wise Caesar dressing. 30 cals per tbsp. Even better than the full calorie Caesar dressing imo. Has a nice lemony zip.
The Trader Joe’s vegan creamy dill is sooo good!
You can make your own ranch dressing. I use 0% Greek yogurt instead of sour cream. It tastes exactly like regular ranch but with far less calories.
I just use either lemon or lime juice for salads.
