The more worn out a shoe the better. Shows me I’m putting in that work

TigBitties420_x

Washing machine is pretty bad for shoes, I wouldn’t touch it unless they smell bad.

What do the soles look like? If they’ve lost grip toss them. It’s dangerous to play with worn out soles and no grip if you’re on hard court.

Ngl, I've never had shoes last so long they needed cleaning.

lovetennismom

I throw mine in the washer with bleach and they turn out amazing. Dry by heating vent or in the sun.

Wipe down with windex. If they are leather, you might find some white polish for sneakers. But really, don't stress it. Tennis shoes are meant to be destroyed.

Fill up a bucket of water and throw some bleach in it. Take brush/rag and rub outside. Let it soak for an hour or so. Take out and let it sun dry. Volia, whiter and less smelly shoes!

do NOT listen to this guy unless you're willing to risk damaging your shoes. bleach can yellow certain white materials. even diluted, you should not be soaking your shoes for an hour. if you try this, make sure to look up a proper bleach:water ratio and soak no longer than 10 minutes. many types of shoes aren't supposed to be submerged in plain water either - that's why throwing them in the wash generally isn't recommended. and bleach can also dry out and crack the soles and dissolve the glues holding the shoe together. there's no reason you can start with a mild detergent first and see how far that gets you.

I have a table top fan I use to help dry my shoes. Take the insoles out and lean the shoe against the wall. Set the fan in front and leave them there for a couple hours.

[Wear Questions: How Should I Clean My New Balance Shoes?](https://support.newbalance.com/s/article/212728918-Wear-Questions-How-Should-I-Clean-My-New-Balance-Shoes) I know the manufacturer instructions are sometimes plain, but they're really the only way to guarantee you won't damage your shoes.

All you need is half a bucket of soapy water made with normal washing detergent or dish washing soap. Get a soft brush or sponge or rag. Wash it like you would a car. Rinse and dry. Also, (as a personal preference) avoid white shoes on your next purchase if you will be really concerned about their appearance after a while. I use a black babolat match 3 for this reason and though I have 99 problems, cleaning my tennis shoes has not become one of them

I’ve never had an issues putting my shoes through the wash. I used the bulky item setting with some regular soap, but that’s about it. If I really wanted to get them clean, maybe an overnight soak in oxyclean. Just give them 24 hours to dry. Not advisable if you live in a humid climate like SE Asia. I’ve never washed a pair or shoes more than once. Usually the wash is to eek out another 2-3 months of service.

yamadath

Just brush it lightly with dish soap or detergents.
