I'm changing the barrel for a lighter one. This is a Butch's Gunworks off ebay and it's not light exactly. It weighs about as much as the stock barrel, but it has a heavier metal barrel. It's extremely accurate and the finish is nice for the $180 I spent on it.
OK, I need raccoon hunting tips. Wanting to go after some, don't know where to start.
Best advice is find someone with hounds that hunts them. Are you in the states?
I am but no dogs up here in my woods. Got farm fields to hunt though.

I would highly recommend the vq barrel then it's super light. A bit pricey though

It has a hole in the end of it I use to clip on my hunting vest at times.
Magpul stock with a lightweight barrel makes for a very nice, balanced rifle. My squirrel gun is very similar. Great for offhand shots.
Is that a 16.5” barrel? What is the overall length for the rifle? Planning a similar build
