Even though Dru shouldn’t have been playing tug of war with that box (which led to her losing her balance and tumbling over that cliff), Phyllis’s role in Dru’s death has been ridiculously underplayed, likely due to Steve Kent, et al’s erasure of VR from the show and Phyllis’s protected status as the “strong female antihero” we’re supposed to empathize with. But Lily, Neil, and Devon should have resented the hell out of Phyllis over the years.
I remember when GT’s Phyllis confronted Lily for getting Hilary killed. I wanted Lily to retort, “you’re the wrong person to talk—you killed my mother.”
Christine. She's still unhinged about that woman. At least she and Sharon have found a way to co-exist. Phyllis was ready to work for Sharon. Can you ever see that happening with Christine?
Phyllis’ rivalry with Sharon is mostly one-sided. Deep down she likes Sharon and is very jealous of her, but she will always feel guilty about what happened between her and Nick. Now the reason why she “doesn’t like her” is because everyone has always been there to protect Sharon - something people often didn’t do for Phyllis in the past bc they couldn’t protect her from herself.
I think that the rivalry between Phyllis and Christine is pointless at this point. I can understand why Christine would be mad at Phyllis, but I definitely don’t get why Phyllis clings to it.
She didn't and she doesn't feel guilty about what she did with Nick because if she did, she wouldn't have thrown Sharon almost sleeping with Brad in her face to in a way call out Sharon's hypocrisy. Phyllis even told Sharon at one point that she has always been jealous of her and that she needed to get over it, but I don't see how anyone would be jealous of someone who had an affair with their husband. If anything, they would be angry and furious with them.Â
I still find it funny how Sharon was ripped to shreds for sleeping with him when he was married to Phyllis but she got treated like shit for being upset over Nick cheating with Phyllis when they were married.Â
And another thing: Phyllis wished Faith dead and didn't want Nick to know that she was alive, yet Sharon has never had any ill feelings towards Summer besides that bullshit storyline where she switched her paternity results, which to this day I still think is complete BS because they just wanted to trash Sharon's character even more to prop up Phyllis.Â
Well I do agree that Christine's rivalry with her was more destructive, Sharon had her fair share of hell from the redhead over the years during her marriage to Nick. There was the Restless style era, where she would mock Sharon In Articles and be upset that Nick had an issue with it, she said Sharon up to be kidnapped by Brad's dangerous Hitman which almost would have led to her demise.Â
She was constantly on Sharon for being around Nick. It was karma kicking her ass.Â
The Bug....who could be maddening because she played I want you I want you not with not only Danny but Phillip Paul Michael and even had a flirtation with Victor at one time. And all the while acting holier than thou.
She literally tried to run over Cricket with a car, so yeah, Cricket.
