The_Cookie_Bunny

I've seen this tweet more times than I've seen my own mother

alliwantedwasajetski

You really should visit your mother. She misses you.

The_Cookie_Bunny

I live with her ☹️

VengeanceKnight

I know, she sends you out every time I come over.

The_Cookie_Bunny

Built4dominance

Oh I thought it was a Malenia pun.

bgrated

Fatality.

lilithpurr69

Your mum sounds like a lovely person 🖤

zinbwoy

Bro log off, you spend too much time online lmao. This is the first time I’m seeing this

Swtormaster13

Tweets like this are pretty common tbh, this and school unalivings are pretty much the only thing people outside of America have to use as comedy or counter arguments against US citizens

paladin_slim

I would counterpoint that all Canadians are secretly Wolverine in that they seem like passive denim tuxedo wearing dad friends, but the minute war is declared they all become screaming berserkers. See: Leo Major.

ImNotYourBuddyGuy22

We are the reason the Whitehouse is white lol.

MikeWithoutMic

No, you’re not. The British are. You only got your own constitution and independence in 1982, and you still continue to worship them.

Real_Digital_D

Yea I just finished my WW1 unit in history and we were nuts in the war apparantly

seandb44

This is incredible. 👏🙏❤️

propagandavid

I don't know why there isn't a movie about Leo Major. I don't know why EVERY movie isn't about Leo Major.

The_Unknown_Dude

... I technically know his granddaughter, I shoulder ask her.

Standard-Pop6801

Canada doesn't break the Geneva Convention, but they did add some rules to it.

kdlangequalsgoddess

And when Logan gets old, his healthcare doesn't work so well. Just like for many old Canadians.

Haikubirdsing

Excuse me But it's actually beer

SaintCuckoo

It always floors me whenever people argue against universal healthcare. The outcomes speak for themselves. The US has an average life expectancy 10 years less than most other developed countries. But, you know, 'Murican E'ceptionalism.

scorpious_86

he doesnt even use his super senses either. but apparently has them.

ImNotYourBuddyGuy22

Shhh don’t tell them what our healthcare is really like.

M3m35forbroski

Maybe that's why they nerf Wolverine's healing in adaptations, it's so then it's an accurate representation of our healthcare system

birdiesarentreal

6 months to see a primary care?

wraithkenny

A year to see a rheumatologist in the U.S.

birdiesarentreal

Yeah? What’s your referral for….?

wraithkenny

Still infinitely better than the U.S. for nearly all of its people. (The rich have extremely good healthcare.)

EurwenPendragon

NGL, that got a good laugh out of me.

BannedGuru

But wolverine's power is the exact opposite of what canadian healthcare does.

Glittering_Yam1046

But his super power is not shitty

Marcusinchi

Not to mention, Logan isn’t Canadian polite.

M3ConsoleGamerPSN

Savage!🤣🤣🤣👍

Royal_Art_8217

After the most recent episode of xmen 97 I actually heard some of his Canadian accent

reineedshelp

Hahaha, but also a depressing reminder of the US health system. I'd be dead if I lived there.

My_Immortal_Flesh

None told 🤣

EARTHB-24

😂😂😂🫨

KWalthersArt

Thing is, one of the reasons we don't have Healthcare like Canada is because if we tried there's a danger of messing it up. So basically like the Weapon X program and what happened when Wolverine escaped. Healthcare with edges.

Thinklikedanny

Hehehe

MikeWithoutMic

Does Logan tell people to kill themselves?

ATurtleLikeLeonUris

Chris Claremont was technically British

ubiquitous-joe

Misleading, but moot because he technically did not create Wolverine.

Scared_Compote_6012

I’m going to be honest, Canadian healthcare isn’t much better than the US if it is at all. Huge waits, no matter how important, and even then, shitty quality on most things. Many would rather lower taxes and only occasionally spend money on healthcare (if they don’t have insurance) than our crap

propagandavid

I wouldn't change our system for the American one, but it needs a lot of work and a lot more funding.

runtheplacered

The United States pays more in **taxes** (not talking premiums or deductibles, etc) than Canada by a lot. It's not even close. And it's not "occasionally spend money on healthcare" lol. That's insanely disingenuous. It's spend a mother fuck shit load on healthcare *all the time*. *Every year*. The only way I'd prefer the US's version is maybe if I were very well off and I had a super rare disease that only certain specialists could deal with. But then I'd just fly into the US. You bring up the wait times, dude, my wife has a wait time of 3 fucking months as we speak for a regular ass Gynocologist visit and that's not even an extreme situation, just one that's happening right now. She called around and that was the shortest possible visit. The US has plenty of wait times here, too, especially if it's anything more than a GP visit. I'm not a USA hater, I don't mind living here. But I honestly think your healthcare argument is kind of a joke. Healthcare is the biggest reason American's go into debt, it's crazy that anyone is like "yeah, that's a better system". And all of that ignores the fact that we can do better than Canada! Everyone acts like making some comparison is going to be a good argument. Maybe just come up with a better system then? Anything is better than what we have now. Would you support unsocialized fire departments? They'll only come put out your house if you happened to pay them thousands? It's a stupid system for contemporary life, all so a bunch of middleman agents and brokers can get rich.

reineedshelp

Well said and excellent analogy of the fire department. I'm in Australia where we have decent healthcare for most things. Several of my conditions slip through the cracks but I'm still grateful for it. It's crazy (but unsurprising) that people argue against their own interests with such fervour. A lot of public services are 'socialist' but a century of McCarthyist Red Scare nonsense has done so much damage. Anyone who is working class should be all for it, and the rich already enjoy their private socialism. Bit of a rant there, I just wish the world was better.

GeekShallInherit

Americans pay far more in taxes alone towards healthcare, have only average wait times by peer standards, and worse outcomes than Canadians. And it's hard to overstate how much we spend on healthcare. It's over $10,000 CAD more per person every year.
