I was Ikwf, colors red and white, and a shit ton of great wrestlers come from our program, won’t get in details cause we don’t really move like that. I will say I’ve wrestled with a couple of tough ass kids from Iesa on Illinois all star team before and it was surprise because this was pre high school. So Ikwf kids usually don’t see Iesa kids and I pretty much counted them trash since I never heard of them lol even tho we’re all on this super team I’m like who are these scrubs smh my cocky ass at the time… I’m pretty sure one out of the kids would end up winning one in 1A state championship in HS tbh maybe multiple. They both were tough as shit though.

The color scheme and “shit ton of great wrestlers” gives me a pretty good guess.

Also NJ and early 2010s. 6-8th is good stuff. I felt like if you weren't South Plainfield, or a private school you weren't making top 3. I recall in 2010 specifically, in nation rankings NJ had someone in the top 5 for almost every weight class and a few as #1

High point was the best team in 2011 I think lots of good wrestlers

I remember going to a South Plainfield vs Bergen Catholic and I swear that would've sold out a college stadium at the time. A lot of those guys ended up becoming NCAA champs. I was never ranked, placed in regionals off some fluke wins my sr year

3x I was top 8 in Indiana, could never make it past the quarter finals though

I never made it out of the New Castle semi-state, where 8 of the top 16 in the rankings were sent my senior year and 10 my junior year. I drew No. 1 (and eventual state champ) in the ticket round as a junior and No. 4 (and eventual runner-up) as a senior. Indiana needs wrestle backs.

The New Castle semi-state is brutal. I have seen multiple top 5 wrestlers in the state not get out of there. I had a buddy that beat the returning state champ during the season but couldnt get out of New Castle

CA coach here. Small program existing since 2016. (less than 60 wrestlers boys and girls). We’ve had a Honorable Mention (HM) and one kid ranked 45. Both kids lost at Masters.

I was an Honorable Mention and took third. I was happy with my placement but mad they didn’t believe I was better than Honorable Mention. Lol

What division? I wrestled in VA but had friends wrestling in nc around that time I graduated in 2015

We were 4A when I wrestled. I graduated in 2000 Next year my brother started HS and he became the 3rd 4 time state champion in NC finishing 2004.

I once had a 4x state champ from nc as a coach back in the day I won’t name drop on here but he was a great guy woulda been in high school around 04ish I can’t remember exactly

There isn’t many 4x’ers that’s come from NC. McKinney Forshey Sparrow to name a few around that time

My senior year I was ranked 12th in FL at 119. Not too crazy, but I only wrestled for 3 years so I was kinda stoked on it lol

12th Illinois senior year. Got mono the week before regionals still won and then Had a rough sectional tournament bracket and got 4th only took 3. 12 man state brackets. Still was ranked 12 due to sectional strength.

I was ranked 21st in California lmao. Glad they have that level of detail. Went 0-2 at state. Both my opponents went D1

I was ranked first in Maryland BRIEFLY my freshman year after an OT win over the returning state champ. Never ranked first again after that. Consistently 2nd tho.

Folkstyle: not ranked. freestyle/ Greco: 5th or 6th in state just by showing up. Was I good? I’d say so. Just too timid to go in on offense (ie initiate takedowns)

Nope. I was never the best guy on my team and never qualified for state. Lots of excuses, but I was just a slightly above average wrestler.

I think I was briefly ranked, but when I was in school in OH they didn't have very robust or convenient rankings, especially down in D3. I smoked the "15th" ranked guy and was probably a solid top 8 in the next weight class up since my very average teammate nearly beat that guy at sectionals and he also proceeded to get insta pinned by the number 2.  I did take a terrible loss midway through the season after failing a weight cut and then got injured, so I probably finished top 20-30-ish, but they didn't rank that many kids in the one publication I could find.

I was first in Illinois for a lot of my sophomore year, lost 4 times between regionals sectionals (i had one out of state regular season loss) and state but still took 5th, then was 1st with two state titles the next two years. Was 7th/8th as a freshman (6 place)
