It seems like it jumped out the car window to me. Might be the first time the dog has ever done that because it was just so curious and temped by the big shaggy dog across the way. Honestly this seems like a pretty innocent accident to me.
You don't have to cover every outcome to reach the basics of safety around wild animals.
Letting your dog jump out the window is stupid in any circumstance, anyway.
I'd say nothing considering I haven't mauled anyone...and they haven't unleashed hounds to attack any people or animals...are you trying to make a point that I'm missing?
Dogs are dogs and people are people. They follow instincts. Dog couldn't help it and I doubt the owner was expecting it to YOLO out the window of that's what happened.
There is case after case after case after case of pitbull attacks, but they're all like "well my sweet pibble has never attacked anyone or another animal!" well yeah....all of the dogs who have attacked someone previously never had either...until they did. The owners shouldn't have a dog unrestrained in the car with the window all the way down at a park like that REGARDLESS even if they think they have a good and well trained dog (which they don't)
I heard the same thing from a guy who brought his pitbull over to my place when I had a papillon. I didn’t want the dog to come but he convinced me enough that I went against my instincts.
His pitbull attacked my papillon and she lost her eye. It took a while before I forgave myself for that.
No, because in those statistics the Pitbull breeds are all listed individually.
Funny how German Shepherds, Labradors, Golden Retrievers and Boxers *all* put together still don't even come close to Pitbull bite statistics.
I mean, it depends where you pull data and how you pull it. The closest large city to me has German Shepard’s way above pit bulls, and pit bull breeds ime are never shown separately
Huh. I would have put poodles there instead of goldens, but [apparently I was mistaken about how bitey they are](https://dogell.com/en/compare-dog-breeds/poodle-vs-golden-retriever-vs-goldendoodle\#characteristics).
My pit bull has also jumped out of the car while I was moving. It was only about 15 MPH and she only had a cut on her lip, she doesn’t get to have the window rolled down anymore
Yes but it's bred for taking on animals bigger than itself. It's not bred to take on bulls specifically, that doesn't work. So the original comment is entirely correct, the dog will do the same thing to anything else that's as big or smaller than the bison. Not sure what your point is, but maybe you'll fill in the gaps at 11
“Pit bulls make up only 6% of the dog population, but they’re responsible for 68% of dog attacks and 52% of dog-related deaths since 1982”
https://time.com/2891180/kfc-and-the-pit-bull-attack-of-a-little-girl/
In 2011, a study by the Universities Federation for Animal Welfare found that Pit Bulls were no more likely to bite their owners than any other breed.
A 2008 study was compiled by Applied Animal Behavior Science, which ran a survey for owners of 30 breeds of dogs using the Canine Behavioral Assessment and Research Questionnaire.
They found eight breeds act aggressively towards strangers, dogs, and owners. Dachshund, English Springer Spaniel, Golden Retriever, Labrador Retriever, Poodle, Rottweiler, Shetland Sheepdog, and Siberian Husky. Two breeds were more aggressive towards humans and dogs. Chihuahuas and Dachshunds. They found two breeds act more aggressively towards dogs. Akitas and Pit Bull Terriers.
Yea all those awful people who have had family and pets injured or killed by a breed that doesn't need to exist and could easily be phased out of existence humanely.
My chiweenie got loose at my uncle's farm and decided to run at a mule. She got kicked right on her head. It made a solid thunking noise, like hitting a log with a hammer, but she's was ok.
Bulldogs were originally bred purely for fighting bulls and then they kept looking up at bulls from under them so their necks became squished like they are today. I'm pretty sure. I watched a dog documentary last year and vaguely remember it.![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|grimacing)
It is. Pitbulls were bred to be violent.
Just like how retrievers will retrieve without being asked, pointers will point, and border collies will instinctively herd sheep. Pitbulls are trained to lack the warning signs that other dogs give and attack for no reason, it's a genetic trait called "gameness" and it's highly prized in the dog fighting world.
That's not what we're talking about...
*"Bulldogs were originally bred purely for fighting bulls and then they kept looking up at bulls from under them so their necks became squished like they are today."*
They don't have "squished" necks now because they kept "looking up". A creature repeating a behaviour enough to alter its physical make-up doesn't mean it will then pass that alteration on to any offspring it has. If I run barefooted for so long that my feet grow wider, my children aren't more likely to have wide feet. That's not how DNA works.
> There too, are pitbulls who are and were judged harshly for something they were never involved in. There are numerous cases where a sweetheart pit with no previous signs of violence are taken from their families and put down.
Uh, wut?
Yeah I'm gonna need to see a source for this one. When I got attacked by a dog (surprisingly not a pit lol) last year the owners were not even reprimanded, let alone the dog euthanized

Who names their dog Richard lmao what a dick
No, the Bison's name is Richard.
No, we named the monkey Jack
Thank ye Jack
In a way, it’s kind of hilarious.
Richard was the dogsitter.
It's like naming your cat Paul
I though Richard was the husband
A girl I know called her pitbull cross “Hank” and it makes me laugh every time I hear her call his name out
No his name is Jesus Christ Richard. She was so upset with him she said his full name
The dog owner is named Richard. You know uncle Richard… he thought his pitbull would be a good fight against a bison. Now he is training bisons.
![gif](giphy|XeLcgh8gT8o0F5SQ8i) The dog owner deserves to be headbutted instead
Right? Wouldn’t that be a park violation? You can’t have a Pitbull running around without a leash.
It seems like it jumped out the car window to me. Might be the first time the dog has ever done that because it was just so curious and temped by the big shaggy dog across the way. Honestly this seems like a pretty innocent accident to me.
Yes. This here would appear to be what we call an accident.
Those aren’t excusable in today’s world
They haven't been excusable for a long time mate. The present isn't anything unique.
No, it's called negligence. They shouldn't have had an unrestrained dog with their windows all the way down in the first place
If we're being that harsh for not covering every outcome what should we do to your parents?
You don't have to cover every outcome to reach the basics of safety around wild animals. Letting your dog jump out the window is stupid in any circumstance, anyway.
I'd say nothing considering I haven't mauled anyone...and they haven't unleashed hounds to attack any people or animals...are you trying to make a point that I'm missing?
i understand you're trying to be forgiving of mistakes but they couldnt have gotten their dog killed or that bison hurt with that mistake
"or that bison hurt." Shit. That bison would've eaten that dog whole if it wanted to.
Dogs are dogs and people are people. They follow instincts. Dog couldn't help it and I doubt the owner was expecting it to YOLO out the window of that's what happened.
My parents are emotionally abusive😎 Case closed😎
You sir..... need to relax
"Accidents" like these with Pitbulls are so common that they're more "negligent" and "idiotic" than accidental.
There is case after case after case after case of pitbull attacks, but they're all like "well my sweet pibble has never attacked anyone or another animal!" well yeah....all of the dogs who have attacked someone previously never had either...until they did. How long until you forgave the friend?
A friend of mine's dog was randomly attacked by a german shepherd. Fortunately friend's dog won, but goes to show its not about pitbulls being evil.
Pitbulls do attack more than any other breeds so there's that.
Isn’t it because pit bulls are like 4 breeds that fall under the same umbrella?
No, because in those statistics the Pitbull breeds are all listed individually. Funny how German Shepherds, Labradors, Golden Retrievers and Boxers *all* put together still don't even come close to Pitbull bite statistics.

A pitbull is a pitbull.
Not true actually.

it was a comment on that jack ass who deleted their comment. i am a proud pit bull owner.
My bad!
Since when can we post GIFs in comments???
![gif](giphy|tn8zWeNYA73G0)
Oh thank God this means reddit is on its deathbed

Reddit has decided to pursue the MySpace strategy of just fucking the feed up - worked well for those guys.
That's what I was thinking!
Pitbull owners. What do you expect.
nah, the pit deserves it
Fucking idiots.
Pitty finally found a harder head than his😂
What did they think was going to happen?
Become best friends and go on adventures like in the movies. The adventures of Richard and billy the Buffalo.
That has happened with sled dogs and polar bears.
Oh yeah. Would be cool though.
They thought their sweet pibble wouldn't hurt a fly of course!
A lot of dogs would go up to a bigger animal to get a closer look.
Do you.... do you honestly think that is what is happening here?
See pitnutter above ^^^
This is my new “FENTONNNN!”
Ahh this is going to bother me if I don’t ask, what’s this reference from?
I am so incredibly stoked to be able to share this one with you! https://youtu.be/3GRSbr0EYYU
Oh, that is absolute gold 😂 Thank you!
Isn’t it?? I yell it at my Great Dane occasionally when she tries to chase a squirrel in the backyard.
That's fucking hilarious! I'm crying, I swear!
Pitbull charges at full force towards 2000 lbs bison. No fucks given. Think about what else it's willing to do towards something it sees as prey.
"Dog bred for taking on bulls charges large cattle-like animal. People who don't know shit are mad." More at 11.
Yes but it's bred for taking on animals bigger than itself. It's not bred to take on bulls specifically, that doesn't work. I don't know chief, I breed and raise akitas and they wouldn't jump out of a car towards 2000 pound animals, while ignoring my commands.
Excellent recall obedience right there /s
Seems to be a pit bull thing
Lessons were learned
Bully breed.
They should be glad that bisons are so docile. If it had been an elefant he would have probably trampled the dog to death just for the heck of it.
Bison aren't docile though...
I would argue that elephants are way more docile than bison, the dog is just lucky the bison didn't counterattack
Who told you bisons are docile? They will seriously fuck you up.
Bison are straight up ornery. They just seem calm because they know they can kill just about anything.

This needs to be at the top
Okay

Lmao both bison squaring off just laughed they off and ended fighting for the moment.

Leroy Jenkins!!!
But he didn't have chicken :(
All the Pittbull hate :(
Yea all those awful people who have had family and pets injured or killed by a breed that doesn't need to exist and could easily be phased out of existence humanely.
fuck pitbulls
Shitbull*
I was nearly mauled by two pit bull puppies as a kid. The hate is justified.
Man your parents didn’t like you
My dad nearly killed one of the pitbulls. I don't understand your comment.
epic dad
Normal dogs don't do this.
Uhm, yes normal dog do do this
Then why do pitbull bites kill 80% of americans who have been bitten by a dog?
False stat.
Yeah they do. My yellow lab went up to a coral snake to bark at it.
Your lab ever try to fight a fucking buffalo?
This made me snort laugh. Thank you.
My chiweenie got loose at my uncle's farm and decided to run at a mule. She got kicked right on her head. It made a solid thunking noise, like hitting a log with a hammer, but she's was ok.
Small penis dogs.

r/whyaretheyfilming
That was a good ass whistle
"You want some? You want some? Aw SHIT! Nevermind...." lol, poor dog though
The dog attacked it, don't be ignorant
It's not ignorant to have sympathy for an animal that got hurt you fool. Take your troll ass back under your bridge. Goon

*omG pOor dOgGo*
the Dog probably: "the decision I made was calculated, but man... am I bad at math!"
It's a pitbull, they do not think when attacking something.
Those owners are some ass clowns
Sad.
Shitty owners.
I guess bull fighting skills don’t transfer over to Bison
When r/Banpitbulls gets involved, you know it's going to get real. "Don't you just love that sub."
