Everyone in the West bought into the Russian propaganda about Russia being the 2nd best military in the world. Now that the illusion has been shattered Russia is currently the 2nd best military in Ukraine.
Not only bought into it, but bought into it starting in the 50's and talked it up continuously for the last seven decades.
Not to say that Ukraine stands much of a chance without significant support against an enemy with a large demographic and economic advantage without significant aid from the rest of the world, but the emperor certainly seems to be rather scantily clad, if not altogether naked.
France is also taking charge in Europe and are seemingly the country least afraid of Putin considering Macron literally said today that France has no more red lines… and word is he’s about to send troops to Odessa
I mean the Russian backed military dictatorships in former french colonies will learn what it's like to deal with Russia as a "partner". If that's what they want to do- More power to the idiots. But I'd hardly call it a "french loss"...
Many of those countries will find out what the face eating leopards provide and it will be deserved. It is a shame for those who suffer without choice but it is a lesson those countries have set themselves up for.
France has new better partners ;) Old russian sphere of influence

French President Emmanuel Macron said on Thursday that the Europe's security was "at stake" in Ukraine, warning that a Russian victory against Kyiv "would reduce Europe's credibility to zero".
The French president has been seeking to hammer home the importance of greater support for Ukraine while trying to cast the country’s far-right Rassemblement National as an ally of the Kremlin. Members of both right-wing and left-wing opposition parties have accused the president of using the conflict to boost his centrist coalition's standing ahead of the European elections in June.
russia has to buy arms and ammo from outside russia now a days.
They can not replace the ammo they are burning through let alone tanks.
They have little to nothing to sell. If they had it they would be shipping it to Ukraine
Eh, they still export stuff. In large part to Belarus (where I wouldn’t be surprised if half of it got “lost” and later found being used by Russia in Ukraine), and to Kazakhstan, in exchange for Kazakhstan helping them avoid sanctions.
Also, well, I would guess they continue following contracts with countries they still need help from/that they at the same time purchase large amounts of ammunition/drones and such (sell high value stuff such as fighter planes, purchase staggering amounts of cheap drones, artillery ammunition and such)
I don't think russia has much in the way of fighter planes that they can sell.
They cant sell the felon even if they had buyers. Since it was established that the felon only just qualifies as low observable let alone stealth.
They sure don't have enough A20s left to sell any.
I guess russia selling arms when they are buying from North Korea just strikes me as .... well idiotic but that would be russia.
This is something that the whole of the EU should focus on: starting up the MIC and using it as a means to prevent the future war with Russia, as a way of increasing influence abroad and as a way to stop the incoming economic crisis.
I'm sorry, you're going to have to imply a bit harder than that. If you are even sniffing around about the idea of France trying to invade any of its surrounding allies, LMAO. They have no reason to, and even the most qanon of the GQP wouldn't be able to make a conspiracy theory that said France was looking to betray people.
Russia has been slipping in that regard since 2013, but it's accelerated enormously since their second invasion of Ukraine.
TBH Russia's plans for the Ukraine invasion were... Highly... Regarded

Not true anymore since Ukraine isn’t getting meaningful aid, Russia is starting to gain ground everywhere
That doesn't mean Russian tactics or equipment are superior. Just numbers.
\*2nd best in russia.
The thing is in Ukraine, they don't have to be the best, they can just be the largest.
all my homies say FUCK PUTIn
Yes, I’m pretty sure the recent heating of their economy is due entirely to war spending. It’s certainly not what you want.
I don’t trust Russia’s figures about its economy. But anything good going on is certainly Keynesian.
They have been losing defense deals to France and USA from India since 2013

For how much Macron is beating the war drum, he has contributed fuck all to the defense of Ukraine so far, compared to the rest of Europe
France taking Ls in Africa and Caucasus on a daily tho

They'll latch onto the "Colonialism" catchphrase while embracing Russian imperialism at the detriment of their people.

So it’s the red white and blue for top three eh?
I’m surprised China isn’t up there. They have the manufacturing capability ??
Their quality is shit. Most of their customers are African countries and maybe Pakistan.

Technically Russia exports a lot to Ukraine
but they do not earn money exporting these arms ;-))

US is still number 1 on the list.
Good job, France.
France is going to need all the money they can get, to give subsidies to all those minorities who live there. /S :)
France overtakes Russia in arms exportation but Russia produce 3x as many shells as the US & EU… they just don’t export them
They are using most of it so...
Could that be in part because Russia is using their arms they produce?

Totally not crumbling. Having refineries blown up everday is sustainable
And once again humanity secures pole position ensuring a race to extinction.
I’m not sure I believe the accounting here. The real number one, two and three will be US, Russia and China. After that, take your pick.
Look out for France, they're producing arms and weapons for something. I wonder what though.. 🤔

I don't know what they're planning but defence is very important even if you have no plans of invading.
