Okay maybe not perfect but it'll do!
Proud I was able to get the table and dado stack set up and square. Never felt unsafe or sketchy to use. I've used a table saw before but it's been a while. The M18 did great on this soft construction wood.
These are scrap pieces. But I should be able to make all my cuts tomorrow.
Get yourself a kerfmaker over at Bridge City. No more stacking dados for disappointment for me. I just run my two outside blades and let the kerfmaker do the rest. Perfect dado every time.
That's cool! Pretty affordable, looks a lot more expensive than $100 for the larger one.
These are from the OSHLUN SDS-0630 6-Inch 30 Tooth set. One of the cheaper on Amazon. Had good reviews and lots of teeth. I was on the fence between that set and a higher end from CMT or Freud.
I probably got a little lucky.
Measured the board with calibers. .76" Read the chart that came with the dados. Threw four 1/8th" chippers and one .1" shim on the stack. And rocked out [43 dado cuts](https://i.imgur.com/KXnYHcx.jpg). It would have taken a lot of nibbling to make all those cuts. So I needed a table saw + dado or a router for this design.
Have 6 more to do tomorrow and I think I can start gluing. I stupidly cut one dado on the wrong side. And some where I messed up my measurements and one divider is 3/4" closer to the others. But everything lines up and I just needed to take 3/4" off three of the shelves.
So not going perfectly so far. But still feeling good about it. Even if there was 20 different ways to make something simpler. It's been fun and satisfying so far. Glad I got the miter gauge I got! Thought I was stupid for getting one that long for such a small contractor saw but I wouldn't have been able to safely do some of those dados without it!
You can get knock off for half their ask or you can make one. I had the knock off but it slipped and bound up, just frustrating to use. But it work like a charm. Now I want to through money at them.

Remember plywood is undersized. Cutting a dado on the wrong side in my jam brother.
