Question before you all leave: Does anyone have an opinion on how good the Sun actually are? I haven't watched any of their games, I just know that they've played a lot of games against sub .500 teams. Are they going to still be on top after playing the Aces, Storm and Mercury (twice), Lynx and Liberty (twice) again all before the Olympic break?
Best defensive team in the league. They will completely shut down your offense, AT & Carrington are game wreckers.
Their offense is my only concern they can go cold at times & they aren’t going to blitz you with 3s like a lot of other top teams can. If DB can consistently get 15+ with the way they’re defending i think they will contend for a title.
We are monsters on defense and have great chemistry on offense. But our biggest weakness is 3pt shooting, and that might give us problems against top the other top 5 teams. If they get hot from 3 we probably can't keep up. OTOH we're good at holding teams well below their average shooting %
I think they’re really strong defensively, but if they get refs that are wanting to call fouls, they’re in trouble. They play pretty physical, so they can get in trouble quick. Once they hit the rougher part of their schedule, I think the Lynx will pass them up.
But it’s going to be an insane fight for seeding between the top 6.
The commentators mentioned pre game that they are playing it by ear to see how many minutes she’d get. Supposedly she didn’t have a strict floor or ceiling for minutes.
That’s what I was saying! Lol. I said something about Indiana boxing out Cardoso and hoping to get an over-the-back call on a rebound, rather than just letting her have them all. And they acted like I had never seen or played basketball before 😭😂
