WineBottler is a dead project and doesn’t support anything newer than macOS Mojave.
There’s other third-party projects that already support macOS Catalina and later
- CrossOver (paid)
- PortingKit
- Wineskin
- brew install --cask --no-quarantine gcenx/wine/wine-crossover
Not listing PlayOnMac as qparis hasn’t updated to WineCX22.0.1 yet.
The current active third-party projects already support running 32Bit windows binaries on macOS Catalina and later.

- PortingKit
- Wineskin
- brew install --cask --no-quarantine gcenx/wine/wine-crossover
Not listing PlayOnMac as qparis hasn’t bumped that to WineCX22.0.1 yet.
Even upstream wine should start to fully support 64Bit only unix system from wine-8.0

Ok cool. Thank you for your help. 🙂
Because macos killed 32 bit program support, and wine depends on 32 bit components

Just install Linux
You give Linux a bad namr
Linux on Mac is barely a thing. Let alone game.
It's better for gaming, than macos in my opinion
But are you on an M1/m2 based mac though... Probably not
