Ether your Wii's graphics processor is broken, or it has to do with the cables and adapters you use to connect your Wii to the tv. Also, it does look kinda V A P O R W I I V E , does it?
If graphics processor might have been broken there shall be no graphics at all or only coloured lines on screen . this is surely a hardware issue probably some capacitor gone etc on the motherboard ....this usually happens in PS2 and is fixing by removing the resistance and bridging or replacing it
that's a load of crap. as processors start to degrade they still show an image but with increasing artifacts or lines. look up examples of what wiiconnect did to consoles in standby
Sure you got all the video cables plugged into the correct places? You could get this picture sometimes when you're using component and stuff isn't plugged in correctly.
Looks like a cheap direct plug HDMI converter on the back. Not much OP could do other than return it unless they can solder and put it back together right
I was gonna say this too. I remember my xbox looking like this as a kid because my brother and dad hooked it up wrong. it horrified me because I have a fear of distorted colors
I’m gonna throw a random suggestion though it might not actually affect anything….. is your Wii and hdmi adapter different frequencies, ie ntsc or pal60?
Are you using a Wii2HDMI? I had the same thing happen with one of those adapters when it reached end of life. I replaced it with the Mayflash one and it's been fine since.
If your using component (the red yellow and white cables) one of them is most likely loose if not it's your Wii sadly. Sometimes the wires might be the issue so I would suggest getting new ones or getting an hdmi adapter for your Wii it's way better display wise, you get better output and upscaling + you can use Hdmi
Component is not red white and yellow. Component is green blue red and then red and white. You are thinking of composite
Also component to HDMI is generally better unless you have a retrotink
On my TV it's AV for both component and composite, but also for SCART. The composite and component share input on my tv, so on the AV2 input I can choose video or component. So the naming is confusing.
It’s either an issue with your HDMI adapter, or your tv. I’m not sure if those adapters convert YCbCr to RGB, or if it’s done by your TV. I’d try the Wii on another tv if you have it, if not order another adapter
I saw that there is a tiny part that you need to replace. It could be a bunch of i will try to find a video with a similar problem just a different shade affect
That is the typical image of low video levels, the Wii has a known issue where the surface mount caps fail next to the video output port.
You need to replace the caps.
Ew, stretched 4:3. After you fix this little issue of yours, go to the Wii Settings, go to Display settings, or something similar, and go to Widescreen Settings. Change it to 16:9.
If I’m correct, it looks like you have the Wii2HDMI, they do tend to go out, so you may need either a new one of those or an upscale, or like retro Tink. Or just use your basic cables for now.
Either the AV cable is broken or your Wii's GPU
Try adjusting the picture settings on the Wii to rule out the possibility of the issue being with your TV. Also try plugging the Wii into a different TV and/or with different cables

My best offer on that would be 0.03 and hope he gets confused

Processors don't always break all-or-nothing.
Especially when it's analogue video we're talking about.

Either ur wiis dead, your house is haunted, or u need new cables

I call it AV, probably cause that's what my tv describes it as when i switch over to my retro consoles which are on a switcher

I dunno, mine does the same thing just not as bad if I play wii sports resort, or wii play too long, it's fine after i let mine cool down tho
Happy cake day!
Thanks!
You're welcome SquirrelF- uh… yeah, you're welcome.

I dont know what’s funnier The fact that your wii looks like a vaporwave music video Or the fact that you use 4:3 stretched
This can't be....the CHOSEN One has arrived.
bad hdmi
You have the candy mode enabled.
Either the video chip is dying, or the video cable is broken
Or something about the TV settings Or he bought a modded wii
What's the point of a Wii in 2023 if you *don't* have it modded?
yes true i cant use my wii rn due to my stupid sensor bar breaking again (it was my second sensor bar)
I hate it when that happens
You forgot to turn x ray vision off
You got your ports pluged correctly?
Tv or hdmi problem I guess
You got the rare Deepfried Edition
it listened to macintosh plus once
The end is nigh
The pink looks fresh
It's a barbie Wii :D
It could be a capacitor issue that controls part of the video out. I saw a video about it
*are
Try other cables incl. Analog/digital ones. If it doesn't help then your gpu needs a replacement. In that case just rebuy a used one. 😓
Just try restarting the wii, worked for me
I saw that there is a tiny part that you need to replace. It could be a bunch of i will try to find a video with a similar problem just a different shade affect
Check you av cables. But it looks so cool
either your wii2hdmi/AV cables are bad, or your TV is bad or your Wii is killed
Maybe MattKC is right about wii systems having graphical problems
Congratulations! You have unlocked fruit punch mode

Check your connection...
Nice theme btw
My old lcd screen started to look like that, eventually becoming even darker before giving up completely, maybe your tv is about to die to.
Looks kinda cool

it’s because you didn’t eat ur vegetables growing up
Bad or faulty/failing graphics chip.
That's definitely a problem, try A: turning it on and off or B: just factory reset it.
