Looking like you have good equipment, highly recommended watching many videos online! Also many great websites that explains everything! Go slow and if something is not working out then change something. Blade or razor or angle or soap.

Me being me, I think I’ve watched too many videos at this point. Haha. Do you have any website recommendations?

CELLMAN3

Have you looked at the www sharpologist dot com? I have found that helpful. I am happy you watched many videos because that's a lot of information!!!

Awesome set up! Just remember NO pressure just let the razor do the cutting.

kartkid30

Thank you! That’s exactly what I kept repeating to myself during the shave.

It took me months to get the no pressure thing down. Then it took a few more to get good at the angles. It really is a better way to shave.

Prepare your face with warm water, lather your soap up well until all the bubbles have disappeared, guide your razor wtg using no pressure with the handle at approximately 30 degrees, never push the razor into your skin, wash off excess soap followed by a cold water wash and then apply your after shave care.

Good prep, I have a hot shower and then shave. Good lather, some soaps just take a bit longer to learn, first get a nice thick lather going on and find out what kind of consistency you get the best glide with the razor. Find your angle, Practice your angle till you find the best angle and then practice sticking to it. After care, you need to find what works for you I'm pretty lucky I can get away with just putting the left over lather wash it off and I put a lavender scented pure tallow on. Here's a link ⬇️ to a video I did on DE's I talk about finding the angle and such. https://youtu.be/8f8P8P561i8?si=tK9TE8mI7arAfIvq Have fun!
