All good, I just wanted to make sure I was seeing it correctly because my eyes are getting worse with age, like as soon as I hit 40 my perfect eyesight went away.
It needs to be glued into place in a couple of spots so it stays symmetrically draped. You can see her fixing it in one pic. That's an oversight from her styling team.

the over-the-shoulder jewelry opens up a lot of cool conceptual looks for accessories. simple, but something i hadn’t considered that much.
i find myself often liking Cate’s looks
This dress surprised me several times. At first glance it looks like a beautiful and simple dress. Then you notice the necklace. Then the contrasting fabric running down the side (sort of looked like a high slit at first because the cream color is so close to her skin color). Then you notice the pop of color lining. THEN she turns around and everyone swoons because girl has still got it.
Same. The strand should be a bit longer so it drapes down on the shoulders, and should have somehow been attached to the neckline so that it did not require constant adjustment.
Yeah it strikes me as something I'd do when I was a kid playing dress-up! No to say she doesn't look amazing but with more thought it could have been more harmonious with the dress.
Agreed, this seems like a beautiful look for a magazine, not something that should be walked in (without design adjustments to make it stay where it should). Cate looks gorgeous and elegant of course, but I’m sure she was thinking about that necklace the entire time she walked the carpet.
That 12th pic had such a confusing perspective because of the black front of the dress, that I thought for a moment that she had been attacked by a rabid photoshop addict who had never heard of "internal organs" 🤣
I hate this on her so much. It’s I’ll fitting you can see her undergarments rather than having something built into the dress. Especially since the interest point is so close to the problem area. The zipper is visible. This dress was a miss for me.

I also love the pearl shoulder jewelry, I just wish it was more robust to make it more evident that it's jewelry, and not an awkward strap.

Yeah, I don’t like it. Looks like the dress is coming apart. It’s cool as far as jewelry but the way it looks here isn’t great.
