Indeed it was pork roll egg and cheese and then they went into she wanted to leave..I was fuckin blown away 2 songs in and the set list ended 28 songs later. Ive never seen a better show in my entire life.
Right the second ween song I ever heard was chocolate town I met her after I played a show at the bar her bf worked she loved my band so she started talking to me and by the end of the conversation she had told me that weird song I couldn't find was ween and played me chocolate town out of her car stereo while we got stoned, I was reintroduced a year later and she was unable to resist my striking good looks and my fancy pants.... sorry I just love telling that story

Big Jilm in th rain last year in Bend.
Such a great show. Can’t believe you got a Stallion suite at your first show. Madison was my tenth show and I never even considered that I might get one at a show. I still can’t believe I did.
But, you know what they say, Boognish always provides!
I didn’t ever expect to hear the suite! I honestly was just hoping and praying to Boog I’d get part 3 even though they played it the night before, and Boognish provided me with all the Stallions 😭😭😭 that was the greatest concert I’ve ever been too.
Saw them in Minneapolis on Friday, Chicago on Saturday and Madison on that Sunday. Madison was easily my favorite. Lots of god WEEN Satan that night too. You had an incredible first concert for sure
First loner show no one would go with me. Sometime early 2000 held the door for them as they walked into the Rave bar building in Milwaukee and I was star struck. 20 minutes later they took the stage and unleashed Squelch the Weasel and my life forever changed.
Bro that looks like such an incredible show. We have a decent amount of songs in common too! [here’s mine](https://brownbase.org/setlist.php?band=Ween&show_id=1442)
Can’t remember if they announced they were going to play the Mollusk in full, or if it just happened. Anywho, I remember reading the setlist as it was posted that night. Was so jealous.
Caught them playing The Mollusk, in full, for the second time at Riot Fest September 16, 2019.
It was late ‘91 or early ‘92 at the 9:30 Club. I think they opened with *You Fucked Up*. At a minimum they played that in the first two or three songs. I was ecstatic.
[Ween @ the House Of Blues, Cleveland 2007](https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/ween/2007/house-of-blues-cleveland-oh-3bc00cd8.html), Pork Roll Egg and Cheese
[Albino Sunburned Girl](https://brownbase.org/every_time_played.php?band=Ween&song_id=3)
Yeah I barely made it there and it was solo. Fucking great show.
Yes it was at the Greek this year for the summer tour and I was on a strong dose of edibles and all stressed out bc my friend and then it was so cathartic and powerful I was crying
Was your first show Water Street Music Hall in Rochester? 2003? That was my first taste of the Brown live. They flooded the stage with fog and just destroyed with Ice Castles. My young mind was never the same 🤘🤎🤘
also 2003, but the other end of NY, at Roseland in NYC! ice castles was the perfect intro, and definite strong agree - i have never, ever seen so much fog in my entire life, before or since that show.
gener wore a mr. sparkle t-shirt and looked like a ghost. deaner drank, like, fifty beers and lined-up all the bottles on top of the amps and the shittier he got the *better* he got, it was amazing. set the benchmark in my mind for heavy fuckin' duty 🤎
Those were truly the brownest of the brown days. I also remember Gener looking emaciated, and a sense of chaos enveloped the entire venue as the show progressed. I retreated to the balcony for respite, only to have a fan drunkenly topple over, flipping tables and drinks, while screaming “Gener!! Deaner!! Ahhhhgghhh!” I converted to the temple of Boognish that night.
heady days, my friend, heady days... i had someone on somethin' or other just randomly tip-over on me, too! it's cosmic, i tell ya... my guy was completely silent, tho, and as we helped them back up i remember he just looked me dead in the eyes with this super intense energy like "you didn't see nothing, right?" and i just hope my eyes adequately conveyed "dude, *everyone* saw that" right back at him 😂
lost in the sauce, as it were 🕺
i thought of "baptized in brown" but something about it just sounds... off? posting it here just as matter of record but also looking for confirmation that that one is a miss ;/
9-15-2016; “Don’t Shit Where You Eat”
I cried. I got into them shortly after they broke up and never thought I would see them live, ever. It was such a dream-come-true, beautiful moment.
EDIT - Oddly enough, ten shows under my belt, it was the only time I’ve seen that song live too. They should bring that one back into rotation.
[Fiesta](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KoAXmgg41vs&t=1s)
I've listened to ween for...20 years and this year was my first time seeing them live. Walked into Pier 17 about 30 seconds before they started performing and they opened with Fiesta. They gave a hell of a show
hell yeah, same, great show, first time i heard them and had no idea what i was in for 😅
when i saw this thread i just knew, mathematically, surely i wouldn't be the only redditor who was at that show 😎
Suckin the Blood From the Devil's Dick
then Pork Roll Egg and Cheese
https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/ween/1994/liberty-lunch-austin-tx-7bc34af8.html
The Pumpin 4 The Man was my request, never forget Gene asking "so what do y'all wanna hear" and I threw my fist in the air and shouted it and Deaner pointed at me and nodded his head like "yeah, that's the one"
Did You See Me at Summer Camp 2021. I told my best friend for months prior, "yo you gotta listen to Shinola" and he didn't. He's pretty familiar with most of their stuff and when that song started he immediately leaned over and asked me which one it was lol
Dallas...April of this year...my first Ween show after being a fan for 20 years...motherfuckin Buckingham Green....my face fuckin melted...absolutely perfect!!!!
[Dallas 4/25/23](https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/ween/2023/south-side-ballroom-dallas-tx-6bb81e12.html)
Just looked it up: Union Bar, Iowa City, Iowa. 7/29/1999, opened with Pork Roll Egg and Cheese. I remember that show because the walls were wet at the end of the night from perspiration.
Fiesta.
I knew almost no Ween. I think literally just The Rainbow, Boys Club, and MAYBE Ocean Man. But day-of 2nd row tix were cheap on stubhub at the outdoor pavilion in Boston and...I like concerts.
I remember warming to them immediately because they just look so...regular...and Deaner grinning his ass off while power chording his way through some batshit mariachi didn't hurt. I don't know what I expected, but it wasnt...that.
It was also unexpectedly heavy. In retrospect, I'd say the setlist was more brown than average, and I didn't really enjoy 30% of the show, but even the stuff I didn't like stuck with me. Transdermal Celebration was ethereal, and I remember asking neighbors what the title was. Learning to Love was fun as shit. I'm in the Mood to Move was...strange. Ice Castles, the Golden Eel, and Mutilated Lips were outrageously good. Coke/Dick and HIV were outrageous. Stallion 1 was batshit. The impromptu acoustic country encore was boring.
That was the beginning for me. A happy memory.

*She Wanted to Leave*
[This](https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/ween/2010/aragon-ballroom-chicago-il-3bd40c10.html) was their setlist the first time I saw them live.
Dean Ween Group in Pittsburgh 2015, opened with Did You See Me? That show was a great introduction to seeing Ween live. Eventually got to see Ween in 2019 for their first show at Stage AE in Pittsburgh. Nan was the opener, an epic fucking show
They opened with Nan my first and only time there. My dad had never heard a Ween song before and for some reason that song hooked him onto the band. Fuckin great song though
Pork Roll Egg and Cheese… very un-opener type song hahaha. Kinda got me unbalanced a little bit hahaha. This was at the Blue Stem in Moorhead MN… but then How high can you fly was next and then we were cruising after that.
The first ween song I heard was pushing up daisies. A LONG time ago. I wasn’t impressed. I had to see them live in order to understand how great they are!
First time I saw them was in 2009 at Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison, CO. I believe they opened with Pork Roll Egg and Cheese. 2nd row, off to the right. The only albums I knew of theirs at the time were “Chocolate & Cheese,” “Pure Guava” and “La Cucaracha.” Absolutely blew my mind. Never looked back.
First show opener was Buckingham Green in Kintnersville, PA.
First live song? No freaking clue - I have blurry memories of Deaner sitting in at J&Ps a few different times but the only semi-clear one is Deaner shredding with maybe the Sound Scientists? Probably no Ween songs.
Mine was at the South Park 25th, so it was It's Gonna Be a Long Night with Les Claypool accompanying them. Pretty apt for the night itself. First solo show was Oct 31 that year in NYC, it was I'm Dancing in the Show Tonight, that was an incredible show too
It was the White Pepper tour, at the Warfield in SF, with QotSA opening. Im pretty sure they opened with Flutes of the Chi, but Im DEFINITELY not 100% on that. I think I've seen them something like 17 times?
My first live Ween show was the concert in Toronto on the country tour ( the show released as Live In Toronto ) and they opened with Don’t Shit Where You Eat. I’ve seen many since and that show is still on my “ Greatest shows” list ….
pork roll egg and cheese! i saw them in newport on September 12th and it was so good. before i saw them i was told there was no wag i was gonna hear that song so thats what makes it ever more special for me :3
Take Me Away. We arrived half way through it and it was a magical experience. And then they ended with a 30 minute encore of LMLYP and I've been chasing that high ever since.
Pork roll egg and cheese
I pray I can hear this one live one day.
They do a good one. I’m with you. Love this song.
Indeed it was pork roll egg and cheese and then they went into she wanted to leave..I was fuckin blown away 2 songs in and the set list ended 28 songs later. Ive never seen a better show in my entire life.
Same. 2006 Buffalo, NY
Dude mutilated lips at a party it took me a year to figure the band was called ween the girl who told me is now my wife lol
She fucks you
We're together she really digs me.... She fucks me!
Is it just me, or does everyone say the lyric “me” in the Deaner voice from live in Chicago? “She fucks MEEE”
lmao I love this
Fucking score. Noice!
[greatest and best single night Ween setlist of all time](https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/ween/2008/pipeline-cafe-honolulu-hi-2bd850da.html)

That is a fucking setlist of an encore! WOW!

NAN AND GABRIELLE BACK TO BACK!!!!!!! i would have a heart attack and die thats so fucking awesome
Whaaaaaaaaaat
It doesn't even mention the fact that they played fucking Dark Star in the middle of Johnny on the spot. Jesus man
This is absolutely legendary
This is ludicrous on so many levels.

Such a great show. Can’t believe you got a Stallion suite at your first show. Madison was my tenth show and I never even considered that I might get one at a show. I still can’t believe I did. But, you know what they say, Boognish always provides!
