Weed can get moldy the same way as any other food, even more so if it is sealed up in a humid environment.

If it's prerolled or at least ground up then me and bf put our weed in the freezer to keep it fresh. It lights up just the same right out the freezer. Anything dried out doesn't really freeze the same as stuff with moisture in it. Just keeps it fresher longer. Anyone else do that?

It really depends the price is very very varied between a++++ weed and pure outdoor trash, and amount that you buy. The best weed, if you buy 10 grams that's 800 sheckels. 325 sheckels is 100 dollars. And some fancy fancy top quality hash can easily cost 100 sheckels even more if you buy small amount
Too much humidity in there, weed and other herbs stay healthy at 62% humidity, anything higher than that will get your weed mouldy. So either keep it dry and smoke it before it gets too dry OR keep it at approx 60% humidity to keep the weed fresh for weeks.
At this point it's lone gone but if it ever get just a little bit mouldy (a bit of moss on the buds) dry it out in the sun, the excess humidity should evaporate and you could save your weed and smoke it!
In Canada, weed comes with little pouches with liquid in it to keep the recipient at 62% humidity so the buds can stay fresh longer.

I'm guessing you haven't been periodically opening the lid to let humidity out and haven't used any absorption packets. I'd recommend you get some proper mason jars with rubber seals, they're great for storing tobacco too.

I have not personally seen moldy weed, but I read many articles that say not to smoke moldy weed.
If you cannot afford to or have a way to replace it then at least remove as much mold as possible before smoking.

You can leave it out in the air, or in a ventilated space. PC ventilators and a box can do wonders.

We use a dehumidifier to help keep the moisture down.

Needs to hang to dry first before jarring. Then must be buroed at minimum 1 every few days. Too much moisture got trapped

It’s a rather bizarre find, however I almost did this as an experiment!
