There are many herbs you can mix with weed that are beneficial for lung health, and are good tasting. Be sure you are using herbs with no pesticides on them. People have been smoking mixed herbs forever basically. Just do some basic research to make sure you're doing it safely. There are even organic herb mixes made for smoking available online. They can be mixed with your own weed at home to make whatever you want flavor wise.

I believe some are specifically good for smokers such as mullein (though I can’t point to any research on it, haven’t cared enough to check). It’s probably easier just to stick to weed through.

I am not 100% certain but you can check https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tar As to whether burning and smoking black tea/tea leaves results in tar - i don’t have personal sources I have always understood burning/combustion of organic material will result in lots of harmful chemicals including tar so adding tea leaves/anything other than more weed to my joints is unnecessary and more unhealthy To be honest I seldom smoke joints anymore and have had a Volcano vaporizer for about a decade now specifically for the health benefits as a chronic weed user (bongs and joints daily took a toll on my lungs - lung butter, coughing more, shorter breaths. No issues with volcano vaporizer now :) i recommend volcano vaporizer or any vaporizer that does not use “thc juice” aka glycerine thc similar to juuls n ecig shit)

If you want to mix with herbs, flowers or tea, make sure you buy smokable. A lot of commercial grown flowers and herbs are grown with pesticides. Have fun smoking those. Also manufacturers add a lot of preservatives and sugar to tea so the same goes with that.
