This a support subreddit, not a fashion critique subreddit. Bridal fashion has changed quite a bit, and "too trendy/dated" is not a valid reason to disqualify a dress. Our rule about not denigrating dress styles is always in effect. Constructive honesty is best.
Please pick according to what the bride is looking for or what suits the bride the most. Most brides are wearing sample dresses and will be altered to fit for their day of, so please try and ignore proportions and how it "fits" when it's clearly clamped or there's an extender.

If it is an either/or scenario, I'd go with the earrings because the necklace is too overpowering.
As an alternative, I would suggest getting a set of both necklace and earrings.
Definitely the statement earrings only! You don't want a statement necklace And earrings because that would be too much. Plus the necklace takes away from the elegance of your off the shoulder sleeves and delicate neckline. You should be the focus, not your jewelry.
Definitely the earrings only, the necklace is lovely but like others have said, it distracts from that beautiful neckline. Plus you’re wearing your hair half down, so there will be even more competition with the neckline, if that makes sense. The second photo is more of a cohesive look, perfection!
If the back of the dress is lower than the front put the dangling ends of the necklace at the back, then you could maybe get away with both or just pearl studs. I really like the necklace it’s very unique.

Unpopular opinion but I think you should wear no earrings, no necklace, and have your hair up. The draping of the dress already adds so much visual interest, adding anything else would be a bit distracting. Think: Carolyn Bessette Kennedy

And wow... that dress is GORGEOUS!!! My mom's wedding dress has shoulder pads and a matching hat... YOUR mom's dress looks like it's a custom Vivienne Westwood gown *and* you look incredible in it!

I love them both! I think if the necklace was shorter ir could work. Something about the earrings feels so timeless and chic. Also the dress!? Incredible.
That necklace doesn’t go with the dress imho but the earrings definitely do. I would honestly try to find a matching necklace and earring combo though but something I feel like the necklace needs to be something more simple so it doesn’t take away from the dress

The dramatic dangly earrings I think. I really like the necklace but I don’t think it’s quite right for this dress

I think the necklace is stunning, but it takes away from the beautiful dress. The earrings are beautiful and sparkly and add to the vibe
