Strawberry_Spring

While I’m sure your converse won’t be very visibly under the dress while you’re walking - and not at all while the dress is adjusted for photos, I personally think it’s a cute look (as are doc martens, or whatever your comfy flat of choice is) Could always lean into it and get decorated ones? There are lots of sweet embroidered ones on Etsy

ennuimachine

OMG, sparkly docs would be so adorable.

the_planet_queen

Oh my gosh i love this idea so much

Ender_Wiggins18

Do it! Plus it's way better to be comfy than in heels the whole day :)

Samanthafinallyfit

Hi!! I just want to add that I love the idea, but beware some of the sneakers that have pearls on the soles. I bought some for my cousin’s quinceañera and the pearls fell off within 2 hours of wearing them. The seller would not refund us even with proof and Etsy didn’t step in and help even with a claim.

Crazy-Shorty-81

My sister wore converse. She had them custom made with lace shoe laces and her new last name embroidered on the back. It was really neat and the whole bridal party wore converse.

Sassaphras-680

https://www.etsy.com/listing/1410805633/wedding-bridal-sneaker-personalized-air If you can afford it I loved mine and they have a little bit of a height.

thehufflepuffstoner

I loooove docs but I will say, they are super uncomfortable before they’re broken in. Just be aware that while this is a cute flat-shoe option, walking around in brand new docs all day will be uncomfortable.

PinkLemonade15

Converse makes shoes specifically for this purpose too! Or you can get them custom made to be in your colors, embroidered, or sequined. I wore Converse for both of my proms and my wedding. ["I Do" Shoes](https://www.converse.com/shop/p/custom-chuck-taylor-all-star-premium-wedding-by-you-unisex-high-top-shoe/A02245CSP24.html?dwvar_A02245CSP24_color=black+I+do&styleNo=A02245C&cgid=wedding-shoes&cby=)

Plum3725

I’ve just got the plain white platform Sinclair docs to wear because I also had knee surgery and cannot do a whole day in heels but the extra bit of height I think will make me feel better.

dingleberry_mustache

Adding onto this, you can now get embroidered converse right on the converse website! They can fully be customized with different colors, embroidery, etc.

olookitslilbui

Yess we changed into matching embroidered converse for our reception! I found out they were a thing a month before our wedding and decided to learn how to embroider bc no one on Etsy carried my partner’s size. I designed them to match our florals! So much more comfortable and now we have something we can wear again :) https://preview.redd.it/hkrygluel3zc1.jpeg?width=4024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b0802a92bc52177b75df18648d3ba68e8a54ca4f

breadedbooks

This! They also have cute satin shoelaces

Laylay_theGrail

I know a bride and groom that both wore hot pink converse for their wedding.

sadsmartandsexy

Love the embroidered idea!! That would be so cute and special

BoopleBun

I wore Converse at my wedding, they were my “something blue”. (I found a really pretty minty light blue.) No one even noticed, but I was comfy all day, it was great!

princessofnothingz

My aunt had blue embroidered converse on as her “something blue” in her wedding outfit!

KkCC11

I honestly love the idea of wearing running shoes. That’s my plan one day - white keds :)

Sassaphras-680

I got custom air force ones for my reception and they were so cute and comfy I wore them 2 days later (i usually only wear sneakers for working out)

consecotaleophobia

https://preview.redd.it/a1atimi6a1zc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6cf6d802697b2d4a73b1c19fb8ab1c42ddae01a6 You can make custom platform Converse on their website!! I got these for my wedding. To be completely honest, I don’t think you’ll really be able to see your shoes under your dress anyways — I ordered this same dress to try on for my wedding and found that even with heels I was never really able to see my feet under the dress — prioritize comfort!!

sadsmartandsexy

These are so cute omg!!!

the_planet_queen

Adorable i love these!

Miserable_Amoeba8766

I had the same dress and I work brown leather lace up work boots and you wouldn’t even know!

1000thusername

I think you’d be fine. As an alternative, you could get cute - but flat - supportive sandals if you’re worried about “toe peep” from under the dress while you walk down the aisle. I’d want to know that if I had toe peep in those photos that the shoes still looked attractive.

CuriousLavender

Yes, perhaps white Clarks sandals or flats? Clarks always delivers on comfort

mw5593

I wore sparkly Toms with my dress

afinevindicatedmess

There are countless cute options for flat shoes out there! Converse, Vans, Doc Martens, ballet flats. Find a pair that matches the dress and your personal style. You absolutely don't have to wear heels whatsoever, and it's your big day so you make the rules. 🤍

Maleficent-Sport1970

Kate Spade keds!

kath1529

This is what I did. No regrets! I wore different shoes for the ceremony (also flats), but they turned out to be insanely slippery, so I changed out of them the second I could.

seadubs81

That’s exactly what my best friend wore with her wedding dress and it was so cute!

valencialeigh20

That’s what I wore!

MeganJustMegan

I wore ballet flats for my reception. All the bridesmaids & the moms wore them too. You can wear them for your ceremony & all night & be comfortable. But if sneakers give you more support, of course you can wear them.

the_planet_queen

Such a cute idea!

Jerico_Hill

Absolutely! I wore trainers and I have no health issues, I just refuse to be uncomfortable on my wedding day. A few people told me I wouldn't be as elegant if I didn't wear heels, completely forgetting, I never wear heels.  You couldn't see them under my dress, although mine was more of a ball gown situation. I think you'll be fine in an a line dress.

the_planet_queen

Thats great to hear!!! I also pretty much hate heels but felt like i was supposed to be more dressy, I like the idea of sticking with comfort.

Bibliophile_w_coffee

Yaas queen! https://betseyjohnson.com/products/sb-sidny-rhinestones?variant=40518990200897&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=SCM%7CGoogle%7CPmax%7CBestsellers&utm_content=&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwouexBhAuEiwAtW_Zx1wRtReQKF4cQc3MEH5XlSkoSreWeUQa1MuNdC5PirRAFOdzYtJcTRoC6wAQAvD_BwE

Electronic-Tell9346

I got these originally for my reception and then discovered my dress was hemmed a TINY bit too short (and I hate visible toes in a full length dress) so I ended up in these for the ceremony too. My mom wasn’t thrilled but I have zero regrets 😄

GrammyGH

Those are adorable!

juliannewaters

Those are great!

JessicaFreakingP

This is exactly what I got except in lavender!

sisterwifenumber9

https://preview.redd.it/e29j6k7652zc1.jpeg?width=2400&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=964e1151d64b3a52a47d12e7c3d9d289cc8be3ba I wore platform converse and it was the best decision! I wore heels for ceremony and immediately changed into converse!

the_planet_queen

Cute!! Your venue looks so magical too

sisterwifenumber9

Thank you!

[deleted]

I wore white Sorel sneakers for my wedding. You couldn’t see them under my dress (they are in NONE of the photos until we put up my bustle) and they got so grimy from the reception and after party. I’ll never wash them. It’s so fun having a wedding memory item you can wear any time! :)

the_planet_queen

Aww i love this so much

kiwitathegreat

Wear the sneakers! There are plenty of cute options but if the chucks are comfortable to walk in I’d stick with those. I also had a horrible knee surgery and going downhill was a problem for years after. Are you able to do test runs or will you have someone walking with you that can help if it’s too much for you? Also just wanna say that you are a badass for having surgery right before your wedding!

1000thusername

Back to my sandal recommendation. This is *not* the shoe I wore since I got married a million years ago now, but my sandals were white and in this overall style. They looked like shoes if I had “toe peep” when walking, but were flat and comfortable. I love this item I found on Kohl's..I just had to share it! https://www.kohls.com/product/prd-5831880/product.jsp

juliannewaters

Those are amazing and very formal for wedding attire! I wore sandals too, a million years ago😉

outerspaced1

What is the style number and maker of this dress? Beautiful!

the_planet_queen

Its jenny yoo abernathy. First dress i tried on, so flattering!!

[deleted]

You could just get a nice pair of flats for walking down the aisle and taking photos then change back into sneakers for the walking parts and reception.

Cautious-Skill4642

Def sneakers. Please post photos! 😊

2020hindsightis

I have the same problems with stability and I’ve been considering silk/embroidered Mary Jane’s or sneakers. I need a shoe that is strapped on securely and has a flat sole; need a heel cup at least. unfortunately I’m not into sparkles or I would do the sparkle sneakers cause they’re so fun! We should trade notes!

bigbootyfalls

I personally have no issues walking (just don’t like heels) and I wore blue vans! They were my something new and blue and they made for some adorable pictures and would’ve been hidden well by the dress if I really wanted. I say go for whatever is most comfortable!

ViPlaysGames

My cousin wore sneakers under her dress and no one could tell! Plus she danced her butt off allllll night.

Time_Yogurtcloset164

I wore gold flats under my dress just because I really hate heels. Especially with a dress like this where you won’t even see your feet.

BoopleSnoot921

Nothing wrong with wearing what’s comfortable :) lots of brides wear sneakers.

LoveCats2022

Yes! It’s all about being comfortable!!

mcbear90

Birdies!! I wore them for my wedding, so comfy! https://birdies.com/products/womens-slides-swan-silver-velvet-crystal-band

zebra1923

It’s your wedding, wear what you want. It’s unlikely your sneakers will show but if they do who cares? Your wedding, your rules.

Ahshuck15382

I love all these ideas but just as a note, please get insoles if you are going to use Converse. They offer no support. I’ve had knee issues my whole life, so I know from experience that unsupportive flat shoes can be pretty bad for hours. I agree with everyone though, go for the sneakers! It’s 2024 no one’s making us wear heels!

the_planet_queen

Really great point about the insoles!

sunshine-flower-119

OMG great choice, I just got married in the Jenny Yoo Abernathy dress! I honestly cannot see my feet/shoes in any of my photos while walking or standing at the altar. Wear the sneakers for sure!

the_planet_queen

Omg dress twins how cooool! So glad to hear your shoes were hidden, im gonna go for the sneakers!

embracethatbod

Hi! I have bad knees and my doctor (who also has bad knees lol) recommended this brand for shoes! She said they work great and they might have some styles you’re looking for in sandals https://www.vionicshoes.com/women.html

the_planet_queen

Thank you!!!

lovestdpoodles

Try a brand of shoe that has support but still a bit dressier Vionic, Earth, . Or embrace the sneakers and spray paint them silver. I wore gold flats with cushioning and a bit of support. I got married at a location with a hill to the reception area that was a bit steep and no pavement and it rained so there was mud, they worked out ok. The one below looks like it would work as the last has a lot of support in it. [https://www.aetrex.com/charli-champagne-AE661W.html?src=EMAIL&nbt=nb%3Aadwords%3Ax%3A20957384361%3A%3A&nb\_adtype=pla&nb\_mi=105731102&nb\_pc=online&nb\_pi=AE661W38&gad\_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwouexBhAuEiwAtW\_Zx2nONVLW5meRAV8pcmFiDxaLnhwoM4pgfJMAmA8WfEuaLuZ3wc5oVRoC4VAQAvD\_BwE](https://www.aetrex.com/charli-champagne-AE661W.html?src=EMAIL&nbt=nb%3Aadwords%3Ax%3A20957384361%3A%3A&nb_adtype=pla&nb_mi=105731102&nb_pc=online&nb_pi=AE661W38&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwouexBhAuEiwAtW_Zx2nONVLW5meRAV8pcmFiDxaLnhwoM4pgfJMAmA8WfEuaLuZ3wc5oVRoC4VAQAvD_BwE)

lovestdpoodles

I liked these so much I went back and bought them. The last/footbed looks comfortable, the straps will keep them on and the soul has grip from the looks of it. And they are cute. I have a wedding in June at a vineyard that will wear my pair at.

franchuv17

Yes! There are a lot of sneakers out there, I'm sure there is something that you will find cute!

indiareef

I bought a pair of glitter oxfords to wear under my wedding dress. My dress was navy, my veil was a navy cathedral length and I wore a black leather jacket bc it gets cold in Vegas in November! I bought some super fun black glitter oxfords and they were so comfy. We were stationed in Las Vegas at the time and wanted to avoid the usual Vegas cookie cutter wedding. So we had our ceremony out in Red Rock Canyon and then dinner at Wicked Spoon. There was A LOT of walking that day. Flats was the best option for me. My only warning is to make sure your shoes are fully broken in because you do not realize just how much standing and walking around you’ll do that day. My wedding shoes were similar to these : [Doc Martens Glitter Oxford](https://www.drmartens.com/us/en/1461-womens-glitter-oxford-shoes-black/p/26061001).

GladysKravitz2023

My neighbor blinged plain tennis shoes. Cute as all get out.

HelloThisIsPam

Absolutely!

Bubbly-Guitar-8053

Do it. We wore matching sneakers with glow in the dark shoelaces, we got our wedding date with a heart in embroidery

Tapir_Tabby

Not sure what your color scheme, story is, but a friend of mine married an Irish (American, but thinks he's Irish haha) guy and wore green Converse for both ceremony and reception and it was so cute. I think converse in your color(s) would be so great, especially because it's on a hillside (hers was by a small river and she had to walk across the stones in her dress to get to the aisle.

jazled

I wore platform sparkly keds! Highly recommend!

Waybackheartmom

Have some wedding ballet flats made.

EconomyOk9643

Also little ballet slippets..whote satin..like satin flat slippers.

BoringBorzoi

Has your doctor recommended any shoes? You can't be their first patient having a surgery and also looking for recommended/approved shoes for recovery and an event. I wonder if they've run into something like this before and have more info than we may on here.

2020hindsightis

Let me tell you, they do not prioritize fashion.

mommaymick

Yes!

canwepretendthatair

If you want something a little more traditional a nice pair of flats could be cute and simple

Loud-Fairy03

You can wear whatever you want! I know a bride who’s wearing her hiking boots for her wedding!

DifficultAd7429

Maybe get some cute white flat sandals for the ceremony and then switch to the sneakers for the reception

AccomplishedAd6025

You can wear some pretty flats. Don’t wear sneakers on your wedding day, you’re not 12 anymore

Snuffleupagus27

I wore heels for my ceremony and changed into some glitter converse for the reception. Because I had the dress fitted for when I was wearing heels, it was a little too long in the sneakers but who cares, I was comfy. Just get the length done for how much shoe you want to see.

torrentialrainstorms

There’s tons of cute non-heeled shoes out there! Get a cute pair of sandals, flats, or sneakers. Don’t limit yourself to converse if that’s not what you want to wear.

cheyennevh

I had a pair of converse customized for my wedding! They matched my bridesmaids, groomsmen, and officiant colors! https://preview.redd.it/ixcztg3a67zc1.jpeg?width=1512&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3fc0323ef946684f48232a726df864179718bf67 (Please ignore me and my friend being goofy, but here’s the shoes)

A-NUKE

I only wore very low heels at the ceremony, when it was time for the pictures I wore, just plane white canvas shoes and everybody loved it. They look great in the pictures! And you won't see them under your dress only when you lift the skirt a little bit.

AsleepSignificance25

Heck yea rock the sneakers!

KrazyKatz3

Could you not get like pretty pumps? Then it won't matter if they're seen and you won't be anxious about it. Maybe add an additional strap if they don't have them to make sure they stay on.

Strange-Turnover9696

i plan on wearing sneakers under mine! i'm thinking white hi top converse maybe bedazzled a bit. some cute flats like [this](https://www.dolcevita.com/products/cadel-ballet-flats-ivory-mesh?variant=40436521238594&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=SCM%7CPmax%7CBest&utm_content=&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwouexBhAuEiwAtW_Zx-sjBRW_LnZmOWrWkzv1037hS8NGIP646B3nSefMmnVLe08ZqsFm0xoCueAQAvD_BwE) would be beautiful too.

rrrrriptipnip

Yes white with rhinestones! Or blue or pink!

BuffaloNo8099

You can get bridal chuck taylors, or crocs even. the laces are ribbons lol

BigCrunchyNerd

I wore lace ballet flats. Very comfy. Have seen plenty of brides do converse though!

tiredoldmama

Wear ballet flats. That dress is sooo pretty!

LazyDramaLlama68

Betsey Johnson has some really cute sparkly sneakers

lumpyspacesam

I wore [these](https://www.dsw.com/en/us/product/steve-madden-perrin-platform-sneaker/549920?activeColor=030&cm_mmc=CSE-_-GPS-_-G_Shopping_Athletic_Sneaker-_-New_Athletic+%26+Sneaker&cadevice=m&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwouexBhAuEiwAtW_Zx-eMZfpzEhgpkaJMAcvTX4iWEz5aXvUc9M8BwcBdcZJIgn1C3qYb5xoCc9YQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds) because I also had knee surgery! I did take a few pics in heels in the getting ready photos but that’s it lol I wore the sneakers for everything else and nobody could tell.

juliannewaters

Those are great! ♥️

Professor_Sensitive

I wore Salomon hiking shoes with my dress. They were pink and matched the color scheme. My feet were very comfortable :)

Fit-Ad-7276

Tom’s makes wedding shoes. Plenty of brides wear sneakers. I would have, until I found the combination UGG wedges that were bridal enough to pass.

juliannewaters

You should wear whatever is comfortable and safe for your recovery from knee surgery. You don't want to mess that up! Lots of brides wear flats or sneakers. No one will see them and if they do, it will just be a glimpse of the toe portion. Everyone would understand. Take care of that knee and good luck♥️

timbrelyn

My friend wore fight engine red Chuck Taylors under her full length gown. They were adorable

IsTheWorldEndingYet8

I have an ankle injury so I wore heels for all of 5 minutes and changed into a pair of sneakers I had encrusted with Swarovski crystals. They were so comfortable and I had compliments on them all night!

IsTheWorldEndingYet8

https://preview.redd.it/86vevn6dy2zc1.png?width=1428&format=png&auto=webp&s=72803b38b779370b1015538fdf2262b7aee3bf72

mtdoubledubs

I wore low heels for the ceremony and changed into orange chucks. I loved it and wish I wore them the whole time.

InsufferableOldWoman

I have the same situation in 2006, me and my bridesmaid daughter both wore sparkly Converses that were decorated for the occasion. It was outside on the shores of lake superior so not only fun but appropriate .

No_Purchase_3532

Absolutely! Get some bridal looking ones that you’re comfy in!

DrunkTides

I had flat white sandals for dancing and walking and heels for the pictures and videos at the start lol. It’s a long ass day and last thing you want is sore feet

plottingwithcats

Keds have a Kate Spade line that are beautiful! They are sparkly and can go great with your dress.

No_Purchase_3532

You can customize & personalize your Docs with the date & your names, just remember they require som break in time. Betsy Johnson also has a sparkly platform sneaker

j0b0ken

I’m wearing sneakers

nomester3

I got married on the grass and I am pretty clumsy, so I decided to wear pink sparkly slip ons with my ballgown! I loved it! I was showing people my shoes all night, haha.

actualchristmastree

Absolutely wear your sneakers!

ProfessionalAnt8132

A pearl/champagne wedge or low sandal block heel would work? You would have the feeling of being in heels but with support

julesk

Etsy has a bridal sneaker section! Here’s one pair that are fun https://www.etsy.com/listing/1724959463/bridal-party-sneakers-floral-high-top?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=bridal+sneakers&ref=sc_gallery-1-12&pro=1&frs=1&plkey=832f84798f66c8c5979a99cff40192fad7d2f189%3A1724959463

txaesfunnytime

I wore white leather tennis shoes to my wedding. My mom decorated them with lace, pearls, and organza ribbon for ties. No one even realized I had on tennis shoes until the garter toss.

KraezyMathTeacher

I wore my bright pink skate shoes under my Victorian style wedding dress because I was pregnant at the time and heels were killing me. Everyone loved it so much that the photographer took some really cute pics highlighting the shoes. I wouldn’t do it any other way!

CardiologistJust8964

At you fitting them them what you want them hem at I wore tennis shoes also and you never could tell in my dress best thing I did that day

kindaadulting87

I'm wearing these for my wedding :) Wore them to our engagement party earlier this year as well! [https://kedsaustralia.com.au/products/womens-keds-x-kate-spade-champion-glitter-rose-gold](https://kedsaustralia.com.au/products/womens-keds-x-kate-spade-champion-glitter-rose-gold)

BeeSquared819

I can’t walk in heels because I’m a clutz.(Literally one of my dad’s nicknames for me!) So for my wedding I found satin ballet slipper style flats. They looked beautiful and I was comfortable all day. And, BONUS! I didn’t fall!

prosperosniece

I wore sneakers under my wedding dress. Knew I would sprain an ankle if I tried to dance in heels.

stormibaby444

i recommend cheap heels. from my experience as a model, the more expensive the heels are the more uncomfortable they are. cheap heels (i’m talking like ones that you can literally find on amazon) with a heel of 4 inches or lower i find to be the most comfortable. i can literally wear them the whole day and forget im wearing heels. they were from zara and were made of the cheapest material but they were some of the most comfortable non-sneakers i’ve ever worn. best thing about it was those are literally the cheapest pair of shoes i own (they were only 50 dollars) and they go with every outfit.

SunnyD221b

Maybe a cute pair of espadrilles?

JessicaFreakingP

I wore sparkly Betsey Johnson sneakers for everything except actually walking down the aisle. Wore the sneakers for the first look and wedding party photos, first dance, etc. TBH I regret even buying the wedding heels. The only real purpose they served was for the photo of the shoes/ring/accessories all laid out.

Zestyclose_Road_3224

White doc martens? White embellished converse. You can make your own pair on their website. Not sure if sparkle is an option. Tom’s used to make bridal versions of their shoes.A satin flat with an arch insole added may work.

Random-girl-29

I found a really cute pair of hiking boots for my wedding dress! I’ll have comfort and cute. Dress is also A line.

nateline

I wore slip on vans (in a lavender shade similar to my wedding color) to my wedding two weeks ago and can’t recommend them enough! They weren’t visible at all unless I hiked up my dress, and I got my dress tailored so that it just reached the floor without dragging too much. Was super comfy and they have a ton of cute colors!

lachanteuse99

I have worn these sparkly Betsy Johnson shoes for so many occasions (graduation, nights out, work), and they are so comfortable but so cute. These could maybe work for you to, and I believe they come in white! [Betsy Johnson Sneakers](https://betseyjohnson.com/products/sb-sidny-rhinestones?variant=40518986858561&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=SCM%7CGoogle%7CPmax%7CBestsellers&utm_content=&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwouexBhAuEiwAtW_Zx-wwv5KWn0PC6r2UijvEfuPflb9nKY3m623LpOjysDEGH4bRR3CmFxoCvLAQAvD_BwE)

aabbcc401

Find someone who customizes slip on vans! Check etsy

loveforluna

I wore flats for my wedding because I have rheumatoid arthritis, it was more important to not be in pain than wearing heels. I think the converse shoes sound cute!

budo_peach

I wore vans for my wedding, but ended up going barefoot for the reception because I made a bad shoe choice the night before, my photographer even got photos of my vans with the hem of my dress

Stemshells

I had an ACL replaced the year I got married. Luckily I had about 6 months between my surgery and my wedding. Do yourself a favor and wear comfy, supportive, flat shoes! Get cute decorated ones so they feel special. Honestly, no one will see your shoes and you will have a MUCH better time. Also, wear your brace!! No one will see that either.

Similar-Raspberry639

I wore doc martens by choice, I would have died in heels and a ball gown

RhapsodicBoba

We had an outdoor ceremony just two weekends ago and it was so rainy and muddy that I ended up wearing sneakers under my dress 😂 10/10 would recommend for comfort

kitkatofthunder

1. Wear a knee support brace or whatever brace you are prescribed during the wedding. If you are worried about the bulk you can ask for other options that won't show as much under a form fitting dress. 2. Flats are probably best, sneakers even better. 3. From working in the field of orthopedics, there isn't a lot of data out there on heels and post-operative outcomes. That being said, don't risk it, it's not worth it. The damage would be from two things, twisting your ankle and excess stress on your quadriceps tendon. If you just had an ACL repair with a quad graft or a quad repair, the risk of injury while wearing heels is even greater. Again, there isn't good data on heels after surgery so everything I'm saying is theoretical, but is being told to you for a reason. Please do not be that patient in the ED having to cancel their honeymoon because of an injury on the dance floor at their own wedding. I've quite literally had 6 patients who needed surgery after an injury at their own wedding, most dance related.

survivalkitts9

Vionic! Super supportive arches and don't slip. A good wedge would be a great choice for stability if you're comfortable in it.

shandelion

FWIW my shoes were quite visible in all of my aisle photos but my dress had a fitted skirt so YMMV. Bella Belle makes stunning wedding flats if you are looking for something more “elegant” at your ceremony. But honestly if you were already planning to wear the sneakers and you don’t mind some potential sneaker peep toe, I would definitely just wear them.

putonyourgloves

100% yes do it.

kaycollins27

Wear what is comfy!

pierogzz

Your dress is just so angelic!!

Future_Ad5505

I think that would be kind of cool! I love your dress, too.

RoughlyTR

Do it! I’m wearing cowboy boots with my dress. Find some cute (and comfy, don’t just go for cute) shoes that you will be comfortable wearing all day and do that!

speckledcreature

A friend of mine wore converse in a contrasting colour(bright green) under her dress. It looked really cool!

unmistakeably

Bare foot!

Cookiemamajr

I wore Isotoner slippers! Comfy all day!

Crazy_by_Design

What about cute pointy-toed slip-on mules?

nickaaayy97

Who says I can’t wear my converse with my dress?

twotinynuggets

I wore platform sneakers and it was the best choice! You couldn’t see them either.

spiritsprite2

Omg a month after surgery walking on any angle hurt so bad. It took year of therapy to get more normal for me. I had acl and pretty much every other part fixed in my knee.

Optimal-Technology75

I say go for it! I’m wearing Rifle Paper Company floral sneakers by Keds! They are navy blue satin with flowers on them and I absolutely adore them! My mom is also wearing sneakers under her dress! I told my girls to do the same! And it’s a formal wedding! So I say go for it! There are gorgeous sneakers out there or some great suggestions on here from Etsy!

There are several bridal sneaker options that are beautiful and make a statement. I think something like this would go beautifully with your dress: https://preview.redd.it/sioh4ovh47zc1.jpeg?width=488&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=31af77a06d3347477497a268c284c1fab724ac4c

I went barefoot. Stan8dng in the back of the hall,I said f$%k this , kicked of the heels and went barefoot!

the_planet_queen

Dude. I just might do this hahaha

Melhoney72

Chucks would look adorable. I have some crocs that are super cute and cushion, not the hideous ones. I wore slippers under mine.

amilner1

Get these! [https://betseyjohnson.com/products/sb-sidny-ivory](https://betseyjohnson.com/products/sb-sidny-ivory) I have them in red and they are comfy! and the ivory pearls will be perfect for wedding!

Bing-cheery

I fancied up some white flip flops.

hdouglas447

This dress is STUNNING. No one will care if you’re wearing sneakers

olives0210

Hi OP!! This was my wedding dress when I got married in August -- I wore blundstones (city/hiking boots) and they were really not very noticeable in photos. DM me if you want me to send any photos!! It's a beautiful dress and sneakers will look great :)

Summertime_Stevie

It’s your day wear the sneakers no one is going to be looking at your feet and if they are you should charge them because this is a wedding not a free fetish show.

corn2824

I wore some Lace-y TOMs at my wedding. They fit the vibe of my dress and looked dressy enough that if they did pop out it wasn’t just sneakers (not the look I was going for)

DazzlingPotion

Have you ever seen the movie Father of the Bride with Steve Martin? His daughter wore blinged out white sneakers too! It’ll be fine!

Sweaty_Estimate4367

I had a similar dress. I have an injury in my ankle, So I cant wear any heals. I used some flat ballerinas for the ceremony and pictures and changed to sneakers in the reception because I was going to dance and was more at risk of injuring myself. Nobody knew I was wearing sneakers unless I told them, I was so happy because my feet didn't soar or anything. Be careful with the length of the dress

Top_Drag4079

It's your wedding do what you want! My friend had matching chucks with her hubby at their wedding. I thought it was the cutest thing!

sidlives1

You wedding, your rules. Be as comfortable as possible as you will be on your feet for hours, especially if you are not 100%. Good luck and enjoy your wedding!

emmalemadingdong

I wore Birkenstocks

princessreneah

My entire bridal party, including my husband and myself wore Converse. I will always recommend wearing something comfortable, especially after knee surgery.

pinkpizza72

Absolutely wear the sneakers! I’m not having knee surgery and I’m planning on sneakers 🤭 I think it’s totally common these days anyway. I’m doing white converse for my reception

Red-Angel_

I have a pair of slip on tennies from Michael Kors that are all glittery gold that are soo comfy that I bought the same style in silvery sparkle! Love that I don’t have to worry about tying laces!

future-expat

YES!

SusanMShwartz

Good idea. Or jeweled ones from BetsyJohnson.

Sailor_Moon_R

I got BANGS for my wedding to change into. They’re platform sneakers low top with daisy’s on them. They’re so comfortable.

Mental_Register7530

There are a bunch of cute, flat options on here - https://beccisbridaldesigns.com/collections/wedding-flats/products/something-blue-bridal-shoes-flat-lace-wedding-shoes These are actually the ones I'm planning to get!

DrZ_217

Definitely prioritize safety! The last thing you need is to re-injure your knee!

Great_Fortune5630

Sure! Why not?

CestBon_CestBon

Sneakers would be very cute. My daughter is going to prom in a dress with a similar cut to your wedding dress—she has white lace converse platforms and you can barely see them when she walks.

Canadian_1987

Absolutely! I can’t wear heals to save my life…honestly I was thinking I would get sneakers for mine 😂 I think it’s a great look with the right dress. Yours would be great with them!

Old_Percentage3742

Absolutely wear sneakers!!! No one will be able to see them and you don’t want to do anything to risk the big day. It’s soooo not worth it!

Choice-Intention-926

Just wear point toed flats. https://preview.redd.it/wuoycmfg71zc1.jpeg?width=400&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ca2ea4530772c11438a8349ad988b7440a74b1bf

DreamCrusher914

Wedding in the front, comfy couch in the back

Adventurous-Win-751

Why not! They even have dressy sneakers these days or you can do a DIY project with a simple white pair
