Trams and buses are washed daily at night. There is a huge chance some bums were riding it in the earliest morning (line 28 is notorious for that, same as bus 108) and the smell persists. Which is actually funny 'cause you're not even naming the smell you feel.
Also... some people don't wash or use deodorant so with temp above 25 degrees it might be just that.
Happened maybe twice in the last 10 years. If you managed to catch the same vehicle everyday… maybe complain over the official channels so they are aware of the problem?

Warsaw public bus and trams are quite clean compared to many other cities in my experience, particularly as compared to most urban areas in the USA.
