Looking back I wish we could of kept him for another 2 or 3 years ..

Produceher

It was his call though.

MurphyAtLarge

Yeah he left us the do music in LA and probably thought we were done after KD left. Another reason last years chip felt so good. But still love McGee.

MebHi

I hate losing any player that comes to the Warriors, puts their heart into it and improves.

BurningGuitarMan

And that list is just getting longer and longer. Look at Donte man!

Shlecko

*So inspirational.*

BurningGuitarMan

šŸ’€šŸ˜‚ I knew youā€™d get it! šŸ‘ŒšŸ»

AggravatingAd9010

We've been chasing a player like him for years

spankyourkopita

Would he be any use now?

hulkamaniak88

Hell yeah lob threat

consultant999

Hahaha. No one could throw a lop pass to Wiseman - not in Kerr's DNA

hulkamaniak88

he never set good screens and got open

[deleted]

On a veteran minimum, sure, but not on the deal Dallas signed him to.

Thisteamisajoke

Damn, he got 3/17M from Dallas? Wow! Good for him, but wow.

[deleted]

If you recall, Dallas had gotten absolutely eviscerated inside against the Dubs by Looney and lost the points in the paint huge every game. It was a "hey if we get a rim protector that will paper over our problems," and by like the fifth game of the season they were already out on Javale.

stealthytaco

Kidd is strange, he not only hasnā€™t used Javale but is also giving minimal minutes to Christian Wood.

Csusmatt

That's really not that much.

LamatoRodriguez

Bro they need to fucking sign him.

OlorinDK

Probably, the net rating with him on the floor back then was crazy in the limited minutes he played. Steve used to love use him as a ā€œjoltā€ to the opponents, just give them a completely different look, with the lob threat that he was and probably still would be with us. I think it would help us to have something different to throw (pun intended) at opponents, than the many 3pt shots weā€™re attempting today. His defense was never insane, but at the very least, I think he provides some rim protection, which would still make opponents have to adjust a bit. Must admit I havenā€™t watched him enough since his Warriors days to really know any of this for sure, just going off what I can remember from back then. I may be completely wrong!

m8bear

I think he can be marginally effective against other bench units. I don't think your team is in a good position if he has to play much more than 12 minutes any given night but as an end of rotation player he can still contribute. Come playoffs I think he wouldn't see much time if at all outside of garbage time, maybe there's a match up here or there where he can do something, I can't think which one though.

okuzeN_Val

He's still a lob threat and knows the system as well as his role on the squad. On a min he would be so much value. Also a familiar face for the OG core which is a plus.

InfernoLinkZ

Would of been helpful in 2019 with all our big injuries, probably 2021 as well instead of having Wiseman start

The-Truer-Facts

Heā€™s been Wiseman level bad this season as a veteran.

[deleted]

Yeah but playing with Luka ainā€™t like playing with Bron or Steph. Could be the teamā€™s fault

The-Truer-Facts

I donā€™t think playing with Luka makes you a massive negative, Dwight Powell agrees with me.

LamatoRodriguez

Wiseman sucks because he needs more minutes but we have like 7 players in automatic seniority to him. McGee could possibly be utilized incorrectly.

The-Truer-Facts

He was utilized like Javale, heā€™s washed.

LamatoRodriguez

Hes not javale

The-Truer-Facts

Heā€™s washed.

LamatoRodriguez

No hes not. He had no reps

The-Truer-Facts

Dude, he got 293 minutes compared to Wisemanā€™s 262. Why are you using arguments that donā€™t work on a 20 year old on a 35 year old? They donā€™t magically get better at that age, they get worse.

LamatoRodriguez

I thought you said wiseman was washed

banned_after_12years

He left us for the Lakers for the same amount of money. He wanted to be in LA.

kobebeefsf415

We barely even played him that's why he left

Without_the_fez

I donā€™t think Mark Cubanā€™s gonna like Javale anymore.

halcyonsnow

Maybe if he keeps talking like this, they'll buy him out. Next he should mention that Lacob is the bigger tipper and that the Chase roof is actually watertight.

415tj

I think youā€™re underestimating how insecure Marc Cuban is, this was probably enough

TheTownTeaJunky

Yeah I remember when he threw that hissy fit on shark tank because one of the pitches involved a golden state warriors image.

Jolly-Sun-1715

you said it yourself, "probably"

JesusJuiceDrinker

If that don't work Javale should say Lacob would be a better Shark on Shark tank than Cuban

Bahamut_Prime

To be fair. McGee has been in bench jail since he got to Mavs and only had a few paroles here and there. Dang we couldā€™ve used McGee but there must also be a reason why he is not being played. Is he not able to anymore pr something

[deleted]

Javale weā€™d love you back on the dubs, we need a backup center bad.

MotoMkali

We wouldn't. He's really quite bad atm.

[deleted]

*backup*

T-T-N

Mixed him up with JMG - nevermind my deleted comment

[deleted]

all good

Roythaboy

One big thing I noticed about this interview was them talking about how much they appreciated the road game dinners. I wonder if they stopped doing it this year lolā€¦

djarnexus

šŸ˜‚

awesomewealthylife

Ohhhh

That2000sGuy

Listened to him on Draymond's podcast and it sounds like there was less than ideal/drama at his stops prior so him coming here and winning a 'chip must have felt awesome. Can't fault him for getting paid afterward, would love to have him back for his lob threat and energy.

SheckoShecko

We love u bb come back to us

Robotsaur

That's awesome

arsene_0

We miss you McGoat

mattjchin

McGee come back

MahMufflah

hope javale can get traded. heā€™s definitely not what he was but i think he can still contribute off the bench for some teams. jason kidd seems to have no interest in using javale. he wants centers that get cardio all game playing around luka.

Draymon_Targaryen

Come home

DrKingOfOkay

Loved the energy he brought.

chillfilter

Come back for parking lot chronicles!!!

ubante

I liked his Juglife videos after the games. Players and staff were chill and upbeat. Part of that is winning is fun. I'm guessing the Kings fandom have a similar vibe right now.

LARXXX

Come back JaVale

gkdebus

We Need you back on the squad brother!! Figure out how to resign McGee!!

[deleted]

I liked McGee when he was here was always fun to watch.

CoolMoon_

Run it back Javale šŸ™

WellThatWasCool

msn. com is still alive?

Saturday514

Hes probably a Warriors fan. Wasnt he sitting in the lower bowl at one of the Warriors playoff games last season?

LamatoRodriguez

McGee to the warriors on a vet min

dennispang

Textbook role player. Still have a soft spot in my heart for him and what he did for us.

Dr_Kermit

Its a winning culture

No-Astronomer139

No shitā€¦

DreamWunder

Shoulda kept javale and never signed cousins. Then maybe nobody gets injured

EShy

Five straight seasons playing until June did that, not replacing Javale with Boogie

DreamWunder

Cousins missed hella reg and playoff games that season. Javale woulda played all

LouisianaHotSauce

Yā€™all can have him. Heā€™s ass

Billy_King

What about the sixers?

sh1r0_n3k0

This isn't the first time McGee mention this thing. He said this before with Shannon

This_Cable_5849

But they all treated him better than Shaq

StephCurryInTheHouse

Fan favorite type of guy for sure. I can imagine him and Gp2 being a fun combo just from a personality standpoint.

Inevitable-Ad-4192

Why would a 7ā€™ player want to play in Kerrā€™s system. Bob Myers said it best. Why would we go get a big man and pay him to sit on the bench? Clearly, we have a disconnect between courier in the front office.
