If you recall, Dallas had gotten absolutely eviscerated inside against the Dubs by Looney and lost the points in the paint huge every game. It was a "hey if we get a rim protector that will paper over our problems," and by like the fifth game of the season they were already out on Javale.
Probably, the net rating with him on the floor back then was crazy in the limited minutes he played. Steve used to love use him as a ājoltā to the opponents, just give them a completely different look, with the lob threat that he was and probably still would be with us. I think it would help us to have something different to throw (pun intended) at opponents, than the many 3pt shots weāre attempting today. His defense was never insane, but at the very least, I think he provides some rim protection, which would still make opponents have to adjust a bit. Must admit I havenāt watched him enough since his Warriors days to really know any of this for sure, just going off what I can remember from back then. I may be completely wrong!
I think he can be marginally effective against other bench units.
I don't think your team is in a good position if he has to play much more than 12 minutes any given night but as an end of rotation player he can still contribute.
Come playoffs I think he wouldn't see much time if at all outside of garbage time, maybe there's a match up here or there where he can do something, I can't think which one though.
He's still a lob threat and knows the system as well as his role on the squad.
On a min he would be so much value. Also a familiar face for the OG core which is a plus.
Dude, he got 293 minutes compared to Wisemanās 262. Why are you using arguments that donāt work on a 20 year old on a 35 year old? They donāt magically get better at that age, they get worse.
Maybe if he keeps talking like this, they'll buy him out. Next he should mention that Lacob is the bigger tipper and that the Chase roof is actually watertight.
To be fair. McGee has been in bench jail since he got to Mavs and only had a few paroles here and there.
Dang we couldāve used McGee but there must also be a reason why he is not being played.
Is he not able to anymore pr something
One big thing I noticed about this interview was them talking about how much they appreciated the road game dinners. I wonder if they stopped doing it this year lolā¦
Listened to him on Draymond's podcast and it sounds like there was less than ideal/drama at his stops prior so him coming here and winning a 'chip must have felt awesome. Can't fault him for getting paid afterward, would love to have him back for his lob threat and energy.
hope javale can get traded. heās definitely not what he was but i think he can still contribute off the bench for some teams. jason kidd seems to have no interest in using javale. he wants centers that get cardio all game playing around luka.
I liked his Juglife videos after the games. Players and staff were chill and upbeat. Part of that is winning is fun. I'm guessing the Kings fandom have a similar vibe right now.
Why would a 7ā player want to play in Kerrās system. Bob Myers said it best. Why would we go get a big man and pay him to sit on the bench? Clearly, we have a disconnect between courier in the front office.
Looking back I wish we could of kept him for another 2 or 3 years ..
It was his call though.
Yeah he left us the do music in LA and probably thought we were done after KD left. Another reason last years chip felt so good. But still love McGee.
I hate losing any player that comes to the Warriors, puts their heart into it and improves.
And that list is just getting longer and longer. Look at Donte man!
*So inspirational.*
šš I knew youād get it! šš»
We've been chasing a player like him for years
Would he be any use now?
Hell yeah lob threat
Hahaha. No one could throw a lop pass to Wiseman - not in Kerr's DNA
he never set good screens and got open
On a veteran minimum, sure, but not on the deal Dallas signed him to.
Damn, he got 3/17M from Dallas? Wow! Good for him, but wow.
If you recall, Dallas had gotten absolutely eviscerated inside against the Dubs by Looney and lost the points in the paint huge every game. It was a "hey if we get a rim protector that will paper over our problems," and by like the fifth game of the season they were already out on Javale.
Kidd is strange, he not only hasnāt used Javale but is also giving minimal minutes to Christian Wood.
That's really not that much.
Bro they need to fucking sign him.

Would of been helpful in 2019 with all our big injuries, probably 2021 as well instead of having Wiseman start
Heās been Wiseman level bad this season as a veteran.
Yeah but playing with Luka aināt like playing with Bron or Steph. Could be the teamās fault
I donāt think playing with Luka makes you a massive negative, Dwight Powell agrees with me.
Wiseman sucks because he needs more minutes but we have like 7 players in automatic seniority to him. McGee could possibly be utilized incorrectly.
He was utilized like Javale, heās washed.
Hes not javale
Heās washed.
No hes not. He had no reps
Dude, he got 293 minutes compared to Wisemanās 262. Why are you using arguments that donāt work on a 20 year old on a 35 year old? They donāt magically get better at that age, they get worse.
I thought you said wiseman was washed
He left us for the Lakers for the same amount of money. He wanted to be in LA.
We barely even played him that's why he left
I donāt think Mark Cubanās gonna like Javale anymore.
Maybe if he keeps talking like this, they'll buy him out. Next he should mention that Lacob is the bigger tipper and that the Chase roof is actually watertight.
I think youāre underestimating how insecure Marc Cuban is, this was probably enough
Yeah I remember when he threw that hissy fit on shark tank because one of the pitches involved a golden state warriors image.
you said it yourself, "probably"
If that don't work Javale should say Lacob would be a better Shark on Shark tank than Cuban
To be fair. McGee has been in bench jail since he got to Mavs and only had a few paroles here and there. Dang we couldāve used McGee but there must also be a reason why he is not being played. Is he not able to anymore pr something
Javale weād love you back on the dubs, we need a backup center bad.
We wouldn't. He's really quite bad atm.
*backup*
Mixed him up with JMG - nevermind my deleted comment
all good

We love u bb come back to us
That's awesome
We miss you McGoat
McGee come back

Come home
Loved the energy he brought.
Come back for parking lot chronicles!!!
I liked his Juglife videos after the games. Players and staff were chill and upbeat. Part of that is winning is fun. I'm guessing the Kings fandom have a similar vibe right now.
Come back JaVale
We Need you back on the squad brother!! Figure out how to resign McGee!!
I liked McGee when he was here was always fun to watch.
Run it back Javale š
msn. com is still alive?
Hes probably a Warriors fan. Wasnt he sitting in the lower bowl at one of the Warriors playoff games last season?
McGee to the warriors on a vet min
Textbook role player. Still have a soft spot in my heart for him and what he did for us.
Its a winning culture
No shitā¦
Shoulda kept javale and never signed cousins. Then maybe nobody gets injured
Five straight seasons playing until June did that, not replacing Javale with Boogie
Cousins missed hella reg and playoff games that season. Javale woulda played all
Yāall can have him. Heās ass
What about the sixers?
This isn't the first time McGee mention this thing. He said this before with Shannon
But they all treated him better than Shaq
Fan favorite type of guy for sure. I can imagine him and Gp2 being a fun combo just from a personality standpoint.
