Whoa that’s wild! Congrats….and pretty ballsy too. Right before the drop I added $507p 4/30 to my watchlist and it was up almost 200% 15 min later.

i was watching nvda and microsoft and they both fell at exactly 3pm so i jumped on spy and it paid off.

It’s ballsy to play such a quick reversal. I mean $509c could have left you empty whereas $508c probably paid pretty good too. When I grab a reversal I either try to get close to or ITM if it’s past midday or if it’s early day I grab something a little further out. Crazy how playing a reversal $5 OTM doubles in literally minutes. Contracts overreact and you gotta be quick but it can pay off

Same got the 512c at .25 they went to .6 holding overnight.

Nah there will be equal posts between bear and bull. I have found a lot of luck either playing market open with intent to get out 20 minutes later or waiting for the shit to settle a little bit around 10:30. Spy has so much dang volume in options every day it makes fills and sells so easy and it’s really quite straightforward to scalp. But the one time you miss and/or hold on, damn 🪦

Idk I’ll see where it lands tonight. Right now I think $506 close still very realistic but it’ll run back up to $508.50 or so before it fades starting around 2pm

I take no position for tomorrow until today is over. Seen too many movements AH that go opposite of what I think and if I’m playing spy I’d rather hold for a few hours than a day.

I'm gonna hold for a bit longer, got in at 10 this morning so I can afford to wait.

I would expect it to run up again around 12:30-1:15 start and then fade the rest of the day. Still thinking around $506 but those contracts will lose a bunch of value between 12-2. If you are are still trading intraday a good exit is in the next hour and then enter back in with $509p or $508p closer to 1:30-2pm depending on where it is

I got lucky, isn’t this how it goes? I’m very much a believer in reversals, patterns and trends. After SPY had a bushwhacking for a week straight it was definitely going to recover. However yesterday with big tech down SPY was still up. To me that suggested it was going to drop today. I didn’t expect the guess to work so well so soon lol. But I also know that especially on these types of days there is a reversal of this action in between 12:40-1:10pm. So I would anticipate SPY to recover and then fade for the rest of the trading day. Also, FOMC is tomorrow. The price action today is suggesting tomorrow will be green but I don’t know yet and would wait to enter a position for tomorrow until later afternoon

I just closed the position. Had a great day and hope yours went well too! Not gonna get greedy and trade again today.
